If they're pre-empting for golf on Labor Day, will there be a pre-emption for the US Open tennis?

I hate that ad because she appears to keep her cat locked up in that one room. Believe me, that she shed isn't going to smell all that nice. :)

Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage
Silver Raven replied to Maverick's topic in Commercials
That's Adam Devine, from the Pitch Perfect movies and the TV series "Workaholics". Though he is far past college age IRL. :) He's also in the Allstate ad where he gets his chest hair waxed. https://www.ispot.tv/ad/ABdM/allstate-spa-day-featuring-adam-devine -
Today's summer season finale was Sister Act. I didn't really know it before, I know the movie, of course, but the movie uses old rock songs and the play uses original music. I didn't know the songs, but a couple of them, mostly sung by the men, were really good. I was really happy that all of the main characters had at least one solo, and they all had magnificent voices. Zonya Love as Deloris Van Cartier. She was, of course, the star, and her big, powerful voice dominated, in a good way. Rufus Bonds, Jr. as Curtis Jackson. He, too, has a fantastic voice, even when he's singing about disemboweling people. Alan Wiggins as Eddie. He was another one with a fantastic voice. Lynne Wintersteller, the incomparable, as Mother Superior. Jenna De Waal as Mary Robert. Nikki Switzer as Mary Patrick. The wonderful Audrie Neenan as Mary Lazarus. The highlight of the show, to me, is when Curtis's thugs, Joey, TJ and Pablo, are singing about how they are going to seduce the nuns into letting them into the convent. The theater in the round at the Sacramento Music Circus is right up against the stage in row A (too close, for my taste, my knees were cramped the one time I sat there), and they were singing direct to the ladies in the front row. TJ, played by Justin Keyes, at one point put his foot on one woman's arm rest and sang seductively to her. The song was hilarious. Joey was Todd A. Horman (he did a sign language applause to the sign languaged section of the theater at the end) and Pablo was Chris Chatman.

Blake Berris, ex-Nick, was married Saturday. His wife is the daughter of U2's former manager, and Bono and The Edge were in attendance at the wedding. Kate Mansi and Rachel Melvin were also in attendance. Bono was asked to sing the national anthems at the fight in Las Vegas, but declined so he could attend the wedding. -

Yawn, Taylor Swift releases another song where she's the victim and everybody is mean to her. -
Eve comes back in October with "a big secret". I wonder if she could be pregnant by Justin?

I think the Luke/Maddy/Will coterie went through four years of college on ATWT, didn't they? -

Did John tell Marlena, "I'm going to get your butt back to Salem?" What happened to the money that Chad stole from Sonny? Are they just sweeping that under the rug? It's wedding season? I thought April was wedding season. Damn, that Bonnie and Lucas in bed was rather ... explicit. -

I think Brady wins in the misogyny stakes.

Does anybody know if Kyler Pettis was let go, or if he left on his own? I've seen conflicting reports. -
It's Jelani Alladin in his Broadway debut, and I don't know him, as Kristoff and John Riddle as Hans. Jelani has a great voice, though:

The foursome of Lani/Gabi/Eli/JJ is like watching a tennis match. I wish they would settle. "God, could you stop lurking. Could you just walk into a room like a normal person?" That was weirdly dramatic music playing in the background of the Kate and Andre confrontation scene. How many times has Chad broken Abigail's heart? Um, zero? And never think that Kate is satisfied with her "children" being happy with the people they choose, instead of the people she chooses for them. "I told you so" is never a good response, Kate. Aw, Lucas. But damn, the snark at Eric was on point. Gee, Brady, maybe you shouldn't be standing there waving that amulet around in public. -
That looks good, as long as they don't make it all about Lea Michele.

They've run out of new characters. Don't forget that Will and Sonny were married, and they were both cousins to Abigail and JJ. -
I have a ticket for Something Rotten for I think January. I wonder who will be in the cast. Thanks for the info, @ElectricBoogaloo. I got to see Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and they were really good together.
