  1. I taught my grandsons how to twirl their spaghetti just this weekend! The legacy lives on...
  2. See, I saw it differently in that I took Shirley was being the pompous asshole. When Guy set it up that Shirley was competing against her former boss, she did everything she could to NOT say he was her former boss. Adam kept quiet and didn't engage. His dish was more involved and more inviting. As tired as I was of seeing Nancy Silverton and her tweeness, I'd rather have her than whoever this middle judge is.
  3. I do wish the contestants would get dinged more when they cheap out on their use of the equipment. I think it was Karen, who used the ricer just to drain something, yet she scored higher than Chris on that element. And last season or more, it was Brooke who used some kind of grill (maybe a panini press?) to toast some peppercorns, yet they kept rolling off and to my untrained eye didn't really get toasted.
  4. Ok, that was hilarious! I think he was shocked that he was the one let go. 🤷‍♂️
  5. One thing I don't see in the TV series is how Will manages his work while being dyslexic, like how he uses different colored folders to process the cases (which we don't see any real processing of cases anyway because every episode is so rushed). I found his ways of coping with dyslexia quite interesting. The only thing we really see on screen is his use of a voice recorder. In the books, Angie was very manipulative of Will to get what she wanted of him, and when she didn't need him, she was out of his life. I did like Sara Linton, and felt she gave Will his much needed stability. Some say she's bland, but she is good for Will in providing that comfort.
  6. I've read all of the Will Trent books and I love them. But I have a couple of nits to pick with the series so far: 1) Amanda - I get that she's playing a character that is intense, but can the actor please s-l-o-w down her words? She talks so fast I miss most of what she is saying. 2) I'm re-watching the Lincoln Lawyer series (which I've read them too) and the difference between these two shows is HUGE - in that the Lincoln Lawyer series is based on one novel for the entire season. Will Trent season is one novel per episode, which causes a great deal of rushing and skipped over parts. And those parts are so good together. I feel like we're missing a lot of getting from A to B.
  7. The only way Christa would have been robbed would be of a subjective bias of some sort. There is none of that here because of the blind judging. The judges do not know who cooked what, and the chefs do not know who is judging, so that they cannot cater to a judge's taste preference. The only thing the judges have to go by is the plate in front of them - how does it look, how does it taste, and how effectively were the randomizer requirements used. So sorry, Christa, your plate of food was beat out by a better plate of food.
  8. I hope Teonna's group, as they were stopped looking toward Wyoming, now turn back as they surmise that Wyoming is where the search party will go. Also, that was absolutely the quickest courtship ever between Teonna and Pete. Unbelievable!
  9. Medusa sounded like shit. She was out of breath and off key (and way too screechy). I hope there are better performers coming up to dethrone her. Because that was awful.
  10. They are using an entire novel for a one hour episode, so many details are dropped for the sake of time. I wonder what will happen when they run out of novels to base their episodes on?
  11. You and me both! There is a distinct difference however - while they both come from wealth and privilege, Alex doesn't seem horrible to others (that we've seen), whereas Beth embraces her wealth and uses it to be entirely nasty to everyone she is around.
  12. Hmmm. I've been reading the Bosch books in order, but have not yet encountered Renee Ballard. I guess I'll have to step it up. Although I enjoyed Bosch Legacy, I really miss Harry as an LAPD detective, and even though some briefly crossed over, I miss all of the other characters that went with it. Can he please go back?
  13. I thought it was the same creepy ship. I thought it was the same ghost ship too. Lucca told Spencer and Alex that a previous encounter with a ghost ship was that it kept following him.
  14. Regarding Jack dropping Portia off near the airport: It was near the "Palermo" airport, so that Portia could fly from Palermo back to Taormina and to the White Lotus. Then later we see her as she ran into Albie at the airport to fly back to the U.S. It wasn't random that in Season 1 Greg accidentally tried to enter Tanya's room. He was already targeting her for this con.
  15. I was hoping Summer would beat the snot out of Beth. She got some pretty good shots in, but Beth was the victor. And women don't fight like guys do - they don't help each other up and call a truce and live happily ever after. Women hold grudges, and with something like this? Hold grudges for life.
  16. I enjoyed Southern Family Christmas. I liked the story and that the "romance" was not the main plot. I enjoyed seeing Moira Kelly from "Toe Pick" (really The Cutting Edge but that's what I call the movie). The lead reminded me so much of Merritt Wever, who is excellent in everything she does.
  17. Well, exciting in Portia’s eyes anyway.
  18. Portia brought clothes as a working assistant expecting no social interaction with anyone. She is not attracted to Albie so these unflattering clothes also work in that regard. She is not dressing to impress or encourage him in any way. That may change with the new exciting nephew.
  19. Like you all know what happened behind closed doors… 🙄
  20. I guess I will have to go to GAC (or is it GAF?) channel so I can watch a movie and wistfully wait for the end when they finally declare their love for each other and the gentleman asks if he may hold her hand..... aaaaahhhhh such lovely. /s
  21. So Tate's voice has changed and he has the size and ability to drive, yet just last season Monica was bathing him in the tub. Ooh-kay. I too hate that they have all women as nasty shrews. And the men are not any better. There is no one here that is likeable. Well maybe Kayce, but he's become a minor player. This governor story is ridiculous.
  22. I've said this before, but I'd love this show replaced with a weekend version of The Chew with Symon, Carla and Clinton Kelly.
  23. In my field, one can't be called an "architect" until they've passed the state licensing exams. I don't know about the term "chef" though. It sounds more official than "one who likes to cook", which the latter applies to several Food Network personalities. Does one have to graduate from culinary school to be a "chef"?
