  1. I'm not a Top Chef watcher, so I don't know of any of these contestants. I don't think I've ever seen Marcel or Elizabeth Faulkner win a competition. With the "known" names losing, it definitely comes down to the blind judging. When they do competitions with their faces there (and not just Antonia and Darnell, but all of the "name" chefs) their food is judged but the judges also know whose dish it belongs to. So I believe they win based not only on the food but on their name as well. Which gives them a false sense of ego. Look at Iron Chef America - very rarely did the Iron Chef lose. Had it been completely blind judging though, would it have been the same result?
  2. Ok. Full disclosure. Sobbing, ugly sobbing, shoulders shaking sobbing. I miss my mom.
  3. It looks like Katy Mixon is also wearing padding/prosthetics. Katy's obviously not as big as the person she's portraying.
  4. It was one of the previous seasons where they had to use a hand mixer. And I *think* it was Brooke that said she didn't even know what a hand mixer was!! Oh the lauded life of a chef!! Can't use the utensils of the lowly home cooks! Snob.
  5. Well I watched it and...the Dubrows are definitely not qualified marriage counselors. The man did make out with new veneers on his teeth and the woman got a breast lift out of the deal. But just taking a "time out" from the marriage is not going to resolve their issues. And then with no discussion with each other, they both decided they would stick with the marriage. Based on what?? And the Dubrows awkwardly standing there waiting for the couple's decision to stay together?? So so stupid.
  6. I never heard an explanation. However I've not seen Liz ever win a competition in TOC, Next Iron Chef or in Guy's Grocery Games (the only other places I've seen her) unless I missed it, so maybe those losses caused her ranking to drop lower.
  7. There's no way Guy could allow Madison a "gimme". Guy has a lot of friends here, so he has to strictly abide by the rules to avoid any accusation of playing favorites. If he allowed Madison any leeway, he would have to do that for everyone.
  8. How can Giada judge when she barely places a teensy bit of food onto her tongue? Oh right, she just repeats what Waxman just said.
  9. Ben Stiller produced Escape From Dannemora, a mini-series a couple of years ago, which was excellent. I don't know what else he's done, but he's broken out of the "stale comedies" mold.
  10. I don't think they need to increase the age requirement for competing, but they need to do away with the underage "protected person" rule. Doping is doping, you are out. Doesn't matter how old you are. And I don't know how this would work, but the doping athlete needs to be punished, along with their coach and/or trainer. Then if it happens again with another athlete from the same program, go further up the chain.
  11. See now I disagree. The nipples were way too high and way too pink/red.
  12. The Canadian female’s (Piper?) facial expressions were ridiculous.
  13. I am an Olympics only skating viewer. I used to follow the sport more but not in more than a decade. I loved Nathan's long program, the music, and the energy. And I loved his shirt! I am not a fan of the sparkly blouses that some of the men wore (Hanyu for one). The other programs with their slow, operatic music are such a slog to sit through. Nathan's program rocked!
  14. Gotta say, I’m not loving Ted Ligety’s commentary.
  15. I imagine this conversation - Eteri: "Sweet Kamila, here is your vitamin. Now take it like a good girl. That's it..." Then hear Eteri laughing like Ursula the sea witch. So sad really. Kamila is a beautiful skater.
  16. I agree. When they've used a tattooist for nipples, they look misplaced (too high) and miscolored (way too pink, almost red). Not natural looking at all.
  17. I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I enjoy the commentary of Johnny and Tara. So much more than grumpy Uncle Dick Button and Scott/Sandra. Tara and Johnny seem respectful of the skaters, respectful of the sport and I appreciate their knowledge.
  18. If she only suspected previously, Ruth just saw with her own eyes the BSC that is within Darlene. Oh Wyatt, there is no escape for you now. Or for Ruth.
  19. What was the reference? They throw out so many lines so quickly I always miss half of what is said.
  20. Jonah, in the previous season, kept trying to ingratiate himself into the family business. He told his parents he had developed shell companies in which to launder money. But mom and dad just kind of patted him on the head and ignored him. Ruth isn’t ignoring him.
  21. Dang, I like MCM and want to watch the new and old episodes, but I don't want to contribute to this Gaines' Magnolia network. And by contribute, I mean, that they can count me as a viewer. Me being just one viewer makes absolutely no difference, but it's the principle of the thing. I guess it's "cutting off my nose to spite my face" kinda thing.
  22. That is, until menopause hits.
  23. Well, both John and Rip told him if things didn't go well for him at 6666 then he was always welcome back at the Yellowstone. So I take that to mean, if the show "6666" doesn't make it, Jimmy will be back on "Yellowstone". Anyway, throughout this season 4 of Yellowstone, we've already watched season 1 of 6666.
  24. Uh, just a clarification--- if you're referring to the driver of the truck who chased Jimmy out due to his back brace? That's Taylor Sheridan himself. Writer, originator, director, main producer, actual horseman & rider, ranch owner, big boss, top dog & fervent believer in his own omniscience in the world of Western TV Shows. Yes, that's what the poster SONOFABISCUIT said... No clarification necessary.
