  1. She reminds me of that crazed bouncy piano player they used to have on the Lawrence Welk show. She never varies from the uptempo ragtime sound . for a wedding march no less.
  2. I'm enjoying this more than i thought I would. Theyvactually avoided repeat content, not as predicted. I am seeing genuine feeling between the couple and Jill seems genuinely concerned about Cathy. BTW, count me among those who didn't disapprove of going ahead with the wedding despite Cathy's hospitalization. I don't think it's disrespectful, and really when would they reschedule without risking another health crisis? I went to another wedding recently where groom's mother couldn't attend at last minute and was in the hospital. There was no question of going ahead, as it was long planned. Mom, age 92, attended by Skype.
  3. Hmmm. Jana's standing a little close to the cute brother-in-law!
  4. Yes, people don't understand that it's a book that is not respected by people who are looking to find notable professionals. The defendant was quite defensive about it, but that's because she has to maintain on the air that is legit. She was choosing her words very carefully. Surprised she actually went on TV at all. While I can agree that JM thought plaintiff was a little crazy, I think she also felt that the defendant hadn't adhered to the contract or perhaps that the contract was unenforceable because of unconscionability (although she didn't discuss that issue). Rough justice!
  5. Sophie, get off my TV. I've always been a hater of breakout characters. She can kiss my grits.
  6. Chicken case is what we wait for when we sit through weeks of dull cases. A really great one. And yes the whole trifecta was good too.
  7. So the world is breathlessly awaiting the arrival of Texas barbecue sauce from Marvelous Manzos? There aren't enough barbecue sauces on any supermarket shelf, so this one produced by Jersey Italians is a surefire winner.
  8. She kept saying she did "readings," but her accent was so bad, JJ couldn't understand her. She actually asked her to repeat it several times, and JJ mysteriously gave up. Then JJ shifted focus to the consignment store and the husband's part in it.
  9. Well, I saw that too, but I thought it was a terrible contrivance. You knew the girl was going to bolt. He should have used his cell phone or persuaded the girl to go over to the police car.
  10. Wknt, let's also add that Jamie had to be part of the same story as well. Dumb! In any event, why did he leave the beaten girl alone in the first scene instead of sitting with her and calling for help? And why is NIkki even applying to Rutgers? It is a fine school, but she lives in NYS, and it is a New Jersey state school. I don't think of it as the kind of state school that attracts national applicants in a big way, such as Michigan or Berkeley or UCLA. Why wouldn't she be applying to the equally fine state universities in New York, so the tuition would be lower?
  11. Friday late-night repeat from 2009. Moroney v. Castro. Moroney lent money to Mrs. Castro, an aging, overweight fortune teller and consignment-store owner with stunning cherry-red hair. Too bad Mr. Castro decided to sleep with Moroney when he went over to deliver lamps. Oh, yeah, don't you know he took a licking from JJ because he was on disability for back injury and working as a furniture delivery man for his wife. . . One of the most obtuse defendants ever: JJ had to tell her to put on her listening ears about five times, as she kept interrupting with hilarious JJ: Just because your husband decided to sleep with your friend, you can't . . . (decided to stop repaying the loan) Castro: She's not my friend. She's a pig. Good times!
  12. There are reruns already even though the new season started. Don't get it. . . .
  13. I had the feeling from something his mother said that he was religious in high school, maybe more than his family. Then the death of father sent him down this path as you suggested. Also, the mother indicated that she had told her sons not to waste their time (and money) dating all over the place, so maybe he didn't have much experience with girls and stuck to studying. I hope they are happy. They do seem genuine.
  14. Tuesday's first plaintiff said they had an agreeance!
  15. Agreed on the wig--yikes. Also I agree Dominic West does not look hot here. Too toothy or something. Anyway does anyone think Cole and his brother are smuggling drugs? Something was up with that clam pickup. Fishing boat, drugs . . . hmmm. Maybe that is how someone gets killed. I'm thinking wife didn't know.
  16. Scoobs, thanks for taking the bullet for the team and watching WWHL I just can't watch Andy anymore, and I only tuned in for the Theresa and Joe segments.
  17. And P.S. Michelle sounded like a little girl when she was talking about those nail decals. I think she really was reliving a 10-year-old's sleepover party.
  18. That was my answer. He boasts about having no debt, but he is a grifter who tries to get everyone else to pay for him.
  19. Yes and you see a lot of sticker shock at the register. They encourage overfilling with those large containers. You have to learn to take just a normal portion that looks dwarfed in the cup.
  20. Is no one watching Suze Orman now? New episodes are available. Bueller? Bueller?
  21. Looks like Jim Boob and Michelle went to the prom in one ofbthose pictures. That would have involved dancing! Well, no surprise if Michelle was head cheerleader at the time.
  22. That race was boring. What were they doing to make the cars go faster? They . were pumping invsome fashion . Does anyone know anything about derby ra v ing to b answer the question?
  23. I tried the two On Demand episodes but fell asleep one third through each. Awful. P.S. to someone upthread. There were counter-wiping scenes in both episodes! That I managed to catch!
  24. I was going to even avoid hate watching, but I could not stay away--only because of the snark here. I'll try a couple of eps.
  25. Intellectual property has many sub areas--patent, trademark, copyright--all based on different statutes. Nothing new about this. My alma mater still offers separate courses in each plus various advanced permutations -- such as music publishing or international IP. I took trademark law back in the day but I did not take patent law because you usually needed a heavy duty science background to get a job in that field. That said, the7 whole thing about where she went to law school and how close she was to graduating was incredibly vague. Not sure what you are finding by Googling Anastasia. I don't see anything obvious.
