  1. Smirking troll, indeed: love your description. Really one of the most bizarre, irritating litigants ever. That's why it was almost a JJ first: awarding the plaintiff the full amount on a loan that really was not formalized in any way because there was no way anyone would front someone that much money without an expectation of getting it back. I think troll was trying to portray plaintiff as some kind of love interest, but it didn't work.
  2. That seemed like some super-expensive camera! I wonder if they bought it used!
  3. For those of us who did not watch, please tell us what the tidbit was. Bravo has a tidbit from the aftershow on its web site, but there she is saying something nice about Lauer.
  4. I'm just happy that Eyebrows got stood up. He is a major tool.
  5. I tuned it to see Rosie O. I liked her as the moderator. I think the show would be improved with her returning to that spot. I really didn't watch often in the intervening years. I find this boring so far and I think I will stop watching.
  6. This episode is so problematic I would not be surprised if it is destined for the dustbin of history, removed from any further displays, downloads, on-demand performances, etc. Could be legal trouble for Bravo airing this.
  7. The New York Post is reporting some weird lawsuit against Aviva alleging that she was trying to get "commissions" for hanging art in her apartment and having it appear on the show. http://pagesix.com/2014/09/15/former-real-housewife-accused-of-extorting-5k-from-artist/ I don't have the mental energy to comment further on the silly mess.
  8. Thanks for all the great comments above. I haven't got time to write such well thought out posts, but you've all now summed up what has been laid out for us over the season. Just want to add that here in NYC the cosmetic dermatologists and plastic surgeons also do the same thing with skin care lines, so I agree that Andrea is piggybacking on hubby. Jackie: $4,000 for tacky lingerie with weird superhero swirls over her boobs? What was that? Lydia: weirdly oversexualized with her frequent double entendres. But when she laid herself back in that exam chair I wanted to apply eye bleach. There is something wrong with her. People who have that compulsion to always insert a zinger that makes everyone uncomfortable have some form of personality disorder. She thinks she is being edgy, but maybe she has some damaged sexual history.
  9. I cant link to that request. I watched the new show and i would comment but i don't know that this show will last. I agree with posters who think three judges is too many.
  10. I can't tell you how disturbing I felt this was. Child Protective Services should be called. I would love to see the casting calls on this show. What could they have been advertising for?
  11. Dentist Lee was so much better after he took off that dumb bowtie. It's like he relaxed. His brother wears bowties too. They must be imitating their father. I just can't stand men who affect bowties, and I say affect because they are affected.
  12. This water fetish is really unfair. In real court they put out water pitchers, and you are allowed to use them! I might hesitate when it was my turn to speak . . . but otherwise. Anyway, I'm just happy we have new episodes. It's been a long break. On to watching. People's Court started yesterday, but JJ was preempted for tennis.
  13. I have always heard them refer to it as as motor court, not a motor cade. (a motorcade is the bunch of motorcycles escorting the president's limousine). Madame Puppet has also referred to it by its French name, porte-cochere, with what she no doubt believes is perfect French pronunciation. It's a big overhang in the front for cars to drive up under--like at your local Hampton Inn. That's why many of the snarkers here have referred to the project as the hotel. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porte-coch%C3%A8re They are extraordinarily proud of this feature.
  14. I loved Joan. I'm proud to say I went to the same college. I once got to see one of her live performances. It was uproarious. I always listened to her on Stern, and I watched Fashion Police and some of her other shows, like "How'd You Get So Rich," which was rerun yesterday. I never had watched her on Celebrity Apprentice, so I watched some of those episodes on Youtube yesterday, which was interesting. Interesting that Donald Trump fired famewhore Khloe Kardashian in episode 6 or so because Khloe had a DUI. Trump is a famous lifelong teetotaler, apparently, and made a strong statement against drunk driving by firing her, even though she was carrying out her sentence.
  15. Wow, I can't stand Carol or Heather. I hope they come up with some better people.
  16. I just can't get over that idiot Andrea hectoring Gina at repeated dinners and lunches about how rude and abrasive she is. She's like a dog with a bone. Pot, meet kettle.
  17. I always hated Caroline from the moment she said "thick as thieves." I am no longer watching NJ. Just can't stomach it.
  18. I hate to say it, but I do watch Law and Order: SVU, but that's because it's a NY show, and sometimes I have to turn it off. The pursuit of Olivia by that sicko all last year was just too much. Isn't it interesting that the actor that plays him, Pablo Schreiber, is the half brother of Liev (Ray Donovan) Schreiber!
  19. For me it's Curb Your Enthusiasm. I originally watched Seinfeld, but often squirmed. Curb became Seinfeld on steroids. At first I found it fascinating the way he came up with clever plots, but finally I just couldn't take it anymore. But I don't mind crime shows such as Breaking Bad and even Ray Donovan. Where I have had to draw the line is Criminal Minds. That is true psychopathology/sickie woman torture porn.
  20. I hate watch Suze Orman. She is so annoying but like someone said above, I can't quit. Usually I DVR and skip to Can I Afford It.
  21. Thanks, and that makes me think that the person who wrote the comment on IMDB was a ditz.
  22. They apparently changed it from Masterpiece Theater (which used to run in NYC on Sundays) and Masterpiece Mystery (which used to run on Thursdays). A few years ago, they started running all the shows only on Sundays, but they retained separate titles. Then they combined it into one series called Masterpiece. I read on IMDB that the red-headed sister was playing two roles, but there was no explanation. Can anyone explain? Have we seen her but not recognized her?
  23. I'm just amazed that Wendy Leibman is just now getting on a show like this or needs a show like this. She has been around forever. She used to appear on Carson and the like.
  24. Well, they might have to go to people's homes and be defrauded by housewives.
