Current Plots Discussion: Actually Today's Episode
RealHousewife replied to CatLady's topic in Days Of Our Lives
I can't stand Claire. They've made the character evil. When I think of a troubled young woman, I think of someone like Haley, not a crazy chick who set a fire to kill her aunt. She's beyond nuts even by Days standards. Also hate Eve. What a nasty person. Kassie de Paiva is a great talent. I wish they'd make her character likable now and then. Casey Moss is a great actor. Nicole is being a pain in the ass. I've got a love-hate relationship with the character. I feel for her troubled childhood, and I think Arianne is a wonderful actress. -
S09.E14: The Show Must Go On

Lol I suppose it is a bit awkward to bring the husbands to a show where per Erika, it’s all about boobs, butts, and patting the puss. It doesn’t take much to get men excited... -

As long as they’re happy, good for them. I’d prefer someone reasonably close to my age, but to each his own. I like Tom except for when he shushed Erika. Otherwise, he does seem to love her and want her to be happy. If being a performer was Erika’s dream and he’s got the money to fund it, good for them. I also like that she gives him credit for making her dream possible. They’ve been married many years now, so even if they were to divorce tomorrow, their marriage has still lasted a lifetime in Hollywood. -

It would be nice if we got more info to prove this woman did in fact exist, but I don’t blame them if they’re trying to protect her. She’d probably get a ton of threats. -

Oh I 100% agree with this. Poor Lisa had no clue what Camille had said about her. I just remember Camille being fair regarding Brandi-she was nice to her when she was new and hadn't really done much, and when Brandi took it too far, Camille was no longer okay with her. Some of the others hated her on sight or remained friends with her longer than they should have imo. -

Camille's rubbed me the wrong way with some of the things she's said this season, but when it comes to Brandi, I actually think she was the most fair. Unlike some of the other women, she wasn't hostile to her when she was the new girl. Camille was one of the few who was sweet to Brandi, but when Brandi started really crossing lines, she wasn't okay with it, even when the fans were still team Brandi. I remember Camille cared that Brandi hurt Adrienne and her family. -

I like Kyle, but agreed. I don't need to see any couple like that. -
NSFW: R-rated & X-rated Content On Television
RealHousewife replied to SPLAIN's topic in Everything Else TV
I guess the first risqué show I watched is Sex & the City. Definitely not a family show, but I loved it and even relate to it somewhat now that I’m older. Girls Next Door was also a guilty pleasure of mine, and there constant bare boobs and even full nudity on that show, especially the uncensored version. I ordered the DVD’s, and they didn’t censor anything! It shocked me at first, maybe because other then SATC, I don’t think any of my favorite shows feature nudity-most of them are rated no higher than TV14. Speaking of GND, I really didn’t think I’d become a fan of the show. I thought the whole situation with Hef and the girls was weird, and I think initially people thought it was going to be geared towards men due to Playboy, but I think the lightheartedness and glamorous lifestyle are what made it a hit show. Many women including myself enjoyed it like watching Real Housewives. All these beautiful girls having fun parties, cool events, going to the salon, traveling, having a butler, who lives like that? It was like Real Housewives with less drama and less clothes. Lol -

Heart Eyes: Actors, Characters, And TV Personalities You Love
RealHousewife replied to 2727's topic in Everything Else TV
Charlotte York-beautiful, glamorous, but still has traits of regular women-not over the top like a lot of other women/characters on SATC and other shows. Chad Dimera-love Billy Flynn and those beautiful eyes. He brought a fire to the Chad character that there wasn’t before. I did enjoy the previous actor, but I LOVE Billy’s Chad. Chloe Lane-I loved how the “ghoul girl” with the glasses was a beautiful swan who sang like an angel. Dylan McKay-dreamy looking dude and compelling character. Jack Tripper-John Ritter was a fabulous talent. Very funny and likable character on Three’s Company. Kayla on Days of Our Lives-sweet, kind character Mrs. Garrett from Facts of Life-kind, motherly, lovable Seth Cohen-adorable, funny guy Will from Fresh Prince-so cute and funny. Will Smith can make you laugh or cry. Love him. Zack & Kelly-cutest TV couple ever Bill Maher-intelligent, funny, politically incorrect and entertaining Joy Behar-auntie in my head. So witty, and she is a saint for not going off on Meghan McCain. Lisa Vanderpump-I’m not one of those Lisa does no wrong fans, but she is just so fabulous!!! They don’t come more fabulous than her. Kyle Richards-also has a fabulous life. RHBH wouldn’t be the same without her. Loni Love-so funny and likable Oprah-self-made woman who’s done a lot of good. Very talented interviewer. All the women on The Real-of all the talk shows featuring women, they’re the group I could most see myself friends with. Wendy Williams-I know she can be abrasive, but she is so damn funny and entertaining. She delivers the gossip better than anyone. Chelsea Handler-I don’t think she’s the funniest comedian out there, but like Wendy, her show was very entertaining. I watch too much TV. -
She's Got It: Favorite Female Characters
RealHousewife replied to amensisterfriend's topic in Everything Else TV
Charlotte York I love her wardrobe, how feminine she is in every way, and that she’s generally a sweet, good person. -
I loved the show. It was happy and fun, and Fran Drescher had a killer wardrobe.

Exactly what I’ve seen with pageant girls. I know there are exceptions, but they’re not typically sweet girls unaware of their looks who wind up competing. They are usually girls who are extremely competitive and every bit aware of their beauty. All the ones I’ve known brag about every crown, even if it’s far from an impressive title. I agree that if a girl is that insecure about her looks, no way would she enter a beauty pageant. The most beautiful women have insecurities, but you have to think you are a pretty attractive person to enter a competition based on looks where you probably also have to parade around in a swimsuit in front of a bunch of people. So many girls watching the show can only dream to be as insecure as Hannah. It can be endearing when someone beautiful admits to insecurities, but I don’t think the typical girl is going to feel to sorry for someone whose insecurity is maybe not always being the prettiest girl in the room her whole life-that’s more of a pageant girl thing imo. Poor me, I may not be the prettiest princess according to the judges! I think that ego and competitive nature is seen in a lot of the contestants on these shows-feeling more entitled to someone’s time than the next person, being shocked someone could possibly dump you. That goes for the guys competing on The Bachelorette as well.

Definitely interesting! What did Rinna apologize for? I did hear about Kyle and Brandi. A part of me wishes I were more like Kyle. She’s a people person who forgives and forgets easily. I’ve been hurt to many times, so I suppose I’m more in the LVP “grudge holder” camp. I liked Brandi when she was new, but then she quickly lost me. She has this mean, vindictive side that the others don’t possess.

Lisa looks like Kimberly Guilfoyle there, gorgeous. Camille and Lisa aren’t getting along great either, otherwise a show featuring the two of them would definitely be entertaining. I feel for Lisa but have a hard time feeling sorry for Camille. She’s been awfully rough on everyone.
