  1. That's a good point. I think Vanderpump is more likable and charming, but actions speak louder than words. I can't keep up with all the Bravolebrity lawsuits, but I tend to be suspicious of the exceptionally wealthy. They're often screwing over employees, clients, customers, etc. The Bravo Docket typically does an episode if there is something to a lawsuit in Bravo world though, and I don't think I've come across one against Lisa/Ken. I could be wrong. I do really like how philanthropic Lisa is, but that doesn't mean she is automatically a generous or even fair employer.
  2. I stopped taking calls from unknown numbers due to all the spammers. If it's important, I figure I'll get a voicemail an/or a text. I agree it's still annoying to get spam calls.
  3. Seriously, what's with Tamra's girls gone wild schtick? Kyle's splits got to be old, but at least she kept her clothes on.
  4. I don't know. Men and boys are weird. I'm approaching 40. I've had teenagers yell sexual innuendo at me. Tamra isn't a spring chicken, but I'm sure still gets attention being an attractive fit blonde. I agree Tamra bringing up all this years later on camera isn't cool. She clearly doesn't genuinely care about Jenn. At this point, I think it's cruel she tells her friend that her man wanted to f*** her. I remember when she screamed bloody murder and said we'd "never see her again" after Lizzie allegedly said Tamra was just jealous Eddie said he'd either want to f*** or marry Lizzie when they played the stupid marry, f, kill game. Jenn has horrible taste in men, but she seems like a nice woman. The other ladies need to back off unless they truly care about her. I see Heather's point with Gina and her boyfriend. If I had a boyfriend who constantly cried and was triggered by things that reminded them of their ex, I'd feel like a consolation prize/therapist. I don't blame Gina for not being fully over it. She experienced a great deal of trauma between the cheating and the abuse. But I do think she should limit how much she vents to Travis.
  5. Not an expert here, but my impression is that there is indeed a difference. I had a friend from work who sold Avon years ago. She would let people know once, and she would never bring it up again. I have no issue with that. My sister was loosely friends with a girl who promoted herself as a makeup artist and said she'd love to give my sister a free makeover for her birthday. My sister brought me along, and of course, this chick didn't do anything but talk about Mary Kay and try to sell products. I don't think the products were outrageously expensive or anything, but still an icky experience. Now with Anyway, I've read so many horror stories where people lose thousands of dollars. Some of the people at the top may make great money, but I don't know how they can sleep at night when the people they recruit lose money. I can see a good person giving the company a chance not knowing what they're getting themselves into, but once you're deep into it, how do you not know? The girl I know who swears up and down she's not a pushy salesperson is quick to suggest others should "start their own business" with her. She randomly brings up Amway products and insists they're such good quality. I'm sorry, but if I want to save, I'm buying CoverGirl. If I want to splurge, perhaps I'll treat myself to some Charlotte Tilbury. Why the heck would I be interested in this Artistry brand I never heard about until now? Don't know a single other friend, family member, coworker, makeup artist, or beauty influencer who uses it. And not interested in the Nutrilite either. If someone wants to sell some reasonably priced products for a side hustle to make money, more power to you. It's not for me, but I can see it as an ethical way to make money so long as you don't mislead people into situations where they feel pressure to purchase stuff they don't want. Amway just seems to be the worst. There are lot of YouTube videos and podcasts about it. They seem to prey on people who are vulnerable and desperate to make money. Even if the company did have some good products, I do not want to support the sleaze. I tend to avoid all similar businesses at all costs, but I'm not entirely opposed to purchasing a Mary Kay eye pencil or makeup remover. I just wouldn't buy anything from someone who is misleading about it. You casually let me know you sell something? Okay, no problem. I'll think about it. You don't even say what the heck it is you do but pretend to be a makeup artist or give free facials or something just to get me there to buy stuff, nope.
  6. Dorit has a killer figure, but I agree the implants are too big for such a skinny lady. Some small-framed women naturally have a decent amount of breast tissue, but my guess is Dorit may have tried to go from an A or B to DD or something. It remains me of Megan Fox. I don't think implants generally look good when you go up more than two cup sizes, and that includes going to someone super skilled and pricy like a Dr. Garth Fisher in Beverly Hills. Erika's implants looked really nice when she had more weight on her.
  7. Agree. Ryan is not serious partner material for any good woman. For real! For Gina to suddenly leave in tears, you would think she just found out her boyfriend cheated on her. I know infidelity is painful, but Jenn's and Ryan's stuff has nothing to due with her. It reminded me of how triggered Brandi was by Eileen Davidson. I like Shane. I want to put him in my pocket. He's a cute, little fellow and funny. Seriously. Jenn did nothing to those women to deserve a pile-on. Good point! I've never cheated on anyone, and I would leave if someone cheated on me. I get that affairs cause a lot of pain. BUT, you are right that Gina's mess-up could have easily killed someone. No one is perfect, so perhaps she of all people should give Jenn some grace over a situation that only hurt her ex and family.
  8. Same. He’s adorkable. I really can’t picture Crystal using the n word, especially after all the grief she gave Sutton over what was nothing but an awkward conversation at the worst. Dorit used to be messy as heck as a newer Housewife, but it’s true she hasn’t been “engaged” for seasons now.
  9. I thought she was younger for some reason. I guess she looks and acts younger than her age.
  10. I'm currently on season 6. Between flirting with married men and body shaming other women, Kenya doesn't come across as a girl's girl at all. I get the impression she is a little too aware of how pretty she is. But she is definitely entertaining with her antics.
  11. Oh boy, this reminds me of when fake Kat Williams hurt the real Dave Chappelle's feelings.
  12. Is that a real account?! Crystal doesn’t normally go in hard on anyone.
  13. Aw I wish her well. She is probably too normal to be on the show longterm. I hope we still have Garcelle and Sutton.
  14. I think Emily is one of the stronger Housewives actually. She is beautiful. She is successful. She is actually a wife and mother. Her husband is funny. She can be dramatic but isn't cruel. I enjoy her. Gina doesn't bring the lifestyle, but it can be interesting to see someone who's a regular girl trying to launch businesses and is wowed by fancy closets like I am. As someone who got into RHONY later, I liked seeing Bethany go from not having much to this extremely successful businesswoman. Gina also brings some normalcy in that she is one of the more even-keeled Housewives. I tend to prefer my Housewives a little more seasoned and glamorous like a Lisa Vanderpump, but I do like Ginas as B characters as well.
  15. Don't think that was me, but I've wondered if people think it's weird when I like posts from many years ago! lol I've been binging some other Housewife cities and enjoy looking at old threads.
  16. Same, mostly. Tamra and Teddi have a good chemistry, and I enjoy their breakdowns for the most part. I have two pet peeves. Teddi's takes on BH get on my nerves. Kyle does no wrong, and she is rough on my favorite, Garcelle and Sutton. I enjoy their recaps of other cities. My other pet peeve is that they're trying to get me to listen to Ay Por Favor. Yes, yes, Tamra and Teddi grew on me, but don't push it with Alexia and Marysol!
  17. Same! Heather is generally well-mannered and likable to me. I agree about Gina as well. Same. I like how supportive Heather and Terry are of their children. I believe so too. Maybe I also like Terry because he is an intelligent guy and doesn't have the sleaziness so many of the husbands in this franchise have. 100% First of all, I'm so sorry you went through that Hiyo. Big hug. I don't have kids nor went through what you did, but that's how I see it. The more accepting and open all of us are, the easier it will be for all LGBTQ+ kids and adults. If the Dubrows were to say, well we love you kids but let's keep this private, that has to be damaging imo. I think it's great they truly support their kids and are proud of them. The positive representation is great.
  18. That is correct. Slade saying he's quitting the show during a reunion makes more sense now. As much as some viewers and sometimes the Housewives don't like for the men to get involved, sometimes they're talent as well. For any flaws, Slade is an attractive guy who is outspoken and not camera shy. I'm sure producers thought he would be great.
  19. The Gorgas don't always handle things perfectly. I actually saw Teresa's side quite a bit this season. I wish they eased up on her and just let her be happy and have her wedding as she wants. But I tend to be team Melissa and Joe just because they seem like nicer people and don't stoop to Teresa's level.
  20. Has Lynne Curtin ever said anything about this? I can't imagine any parent being thrilled their children would go into such a dark industry. So much drug usage, high suicide rate, etc. I know a lot of people who get into porn went through trauma and mental health struggles before ever doing porn, but I don't think going this route could possibly help.
  21. Noella's constant raunch is too much. Heather gets a lot of grief for being pretentious, but I will take pretentious over trashy any day. I much prefer to watch a classy lady like Heather to the likes of Noella, Kelly, Tamra, Vicki, Braunwyn, etc. You could actually take her places!
  22. I wouldn't say hideous, but definitely not cozy. I'm not a fan of museum-like houses. I like homes like Kyle Richards'. Yolanda and David Foster's house was gorgeous as well. Part of the appeal of the franchise has always been lifestyle porn. Maybe it's hard to get the right balance or please everyone. I'm a fan until it goes from "ooh must be nice" or maybe you just have to be really rich to find that kind of spending appropriate to spending money like it comes from tap. The Dubrows take their spending too far for my tastes. I know Terry is a really successful surgeon, but still. I enjoy seeing mansions, luxury cars, designer clothes, travel porn, etc. When I hear about things like Erika Jayne's $40,000 a month on glam alone or $30,000 for just a random party, I don't find it aspirational. I find it excessive. Speaking of spending and charity work, Joanna Krupa is one Housewife who was awesome in this regard. She enjoyed the fruits of her labor. I remember she had at least one gorgeous home and beautiful things, but also said in interviews she didn't have a favorite designer, that super high priced skin care was a waste of money, that she'd rather give back than spend on her money on things like shoes, etc. She was and I believe is very philanthropic with animal charities. She made her own at one point, not positive if she is still working that particular one. I like Shane too. What's refreshing about him is he seems like a normal dude, and I get his humor. I also love a confident little man!
  23. Has anyone had luck dating lately? I'd love for someone to give me hope. :)
