  1. It could. My illeitis felt a lot like an ectopic pregnancy: severe stomach cramps, bleeding, syncope, low blood pressure, vomiting... She was looking pretty good for having just spent 19 hours in the ER, though. Well, you know, as "good" as Destinie can look...
  2. I barely like ANY of these people, but Scott reaching out to her ex was scuzzy.
  3. My favorite part of the season so far was when Whit asked, "June, July and August?" and chase snarked back, "Yeah, that's summer." Loved it.
  4. Sometimes when my fingers get cold they prune up a little and my rings get loose. I agree with you, though, and think this is likely what happened. It could also explain her bursting into tears; the tears may have been real, the reason for them different.
  5. I'd love to see Buddy just be like, "Fuck it" and walk away from her...
  6. I always had one or two on me. In fact, I used a purse the other day that I hadn't seen in awhile and I found 2 stuffed in it. My hysterectomy was 10 years ago. My period was never regular and there was always someone needing one. I can't count the number of times that I've handed them out to complete strangers in bathrooms (nobody is more supportive or helpful thank drunk women in a bathroom). This is what bugs me about Whit. Even the little things that might sound perfectly reasonable coming from other people bug me when they come from her.
  7. My first thought was to wonder how big her tampons are if they take up THAT much space... Backpacking Eastern Europe once and my period hit the day before I flew home. All I could find was a box of 100 OB tampons. Didn't want to waste the rest and leave them behind, but the box was too big for my backpack. I took them all out and stuffed them in the various outside pockets. Pockets were bursting at the seams. Later, I'm going through security in the Prague airport and I get searched by two huge guards with 0 sense of humor. They throw my backpack on the table and make a show of roughly opening it. I tried to warn them, but they glared and barked. Seconds later and dozens of tiny tampons are flying through the air. They're landing on the floor, the guards, people in line behind me... I'll never forget these armed guards on their hands and knees, picking up my tampons by the handful... And thanks @Persnickety1 lol. I now have visions of Buddy removing a menstrual cup...(how does one keep from spillage during removal? I had a hysterectomy at 30. It's been awhile.)
  8. It's more of a club than a bar, and I think that's why the setup seemed weird. NC restrictions kept it and others closed throughout the summer. It was able to reopen in the fall. I think they, like many businesses, are struggling. It actually made me sad when Chase animatedly discussed the summer plans. Knowing what we know now... I laughed at her Babs imitation, too. It was pretty good.
  9. When Glenn referenced her "thriving business in Charlotte" I lol'ed, thinking he was being facetious. And then I was like, "Oh, fuck! He's being serious!" The delusion is strong with this bunch. I think she knew about the pregnancy during this episode. Chase was working overtime at one point trying to talk to her and for the rest of the time he could hardly withstand his disdain.
  10. And she had a similar problem-surrounding herself with "yes men" who acted like everything she did was fine and cute. Once you reach that stage if someone says something you don't like then you cut them off. I think that's where Darcey is now.
  11. Part of this may be awkwardness of filming. Some are more uncomfortable than others. Reality shows tend to set up fake conditions to make the show more interesting, but in real life I think we're all probably a little boring. A good chunk of my family's time is spent playing board games, playing video games, watching movies, reading, or working on the computer. Our conversations are often not meaningful to others, just small talk or talks about our day. We do discuss literature, politics, and world events but we don't do that all the time. None of this would make for compelling tv. A lot of times they're not allowed to have music playing or the TV on because the production company doesn't want to have to take all of that out in post production.
  12. I don't know. I actually like Darcey. This makes me very uncomfortable.
  13. That article you posted earlier said that he'd been denied a visa 3 times. We don't know WHY he was denied, but what makes him think it will work this time?
  14. I agree! There was some crazy undercurrent going on here. It makes sense because by that time his baby mama would've been nearly halfway through her pregnancy.
  15. I don't think his club was actually "open" when they were there. Production companies prefer having control over the environment, both for NDA reasons and filming purposes. IMO they opened it early on a weekday and put out a call for "extras" to come in and film. They frequently do this. Get a few dozen people in there who will play along and make it look alive without having to worry about it being overly crowded, too loud, etc. They've done this with other scenes in other shows*. And I agree. I don't think this is making Chase look bad at all. He wants to stay in the town where he's managing a club and has a long-standing accounting job. Even if this were real I don't see why it would be expected for him to give those things up when there's no reason for either of them to even be in Charlotte. * Not a spoiler, I have no idea if that's what they did here, just offering my opinion.
  16. He probably could teach, but most schools and organizations that pay well require TESOL training. Unless you're working under the table it's nearly impossible to enter a country and find a job. It's the same everywhere else as it is here-you have to have a visa. You either have to get a work visa (difficult because most countries only hand out work visas when they're paired with something else, like a marriage visa) or you have to talk a foreign company into applying for a visa for you. That can get extremely expensive, which is why most companies prefer to hire local. It would be easier for a Columbian school or organization to hire a Columbian with training to teach ESL than it would be to go through the paperwork and visa cost of hiring an American without any experience.
  17. Also... during the last few episodes she's referenced previous trips to Wilmington...yet this is her first time to the club? He's had it since November...
  18. "I want to be flexible." I just want to be the only person in the relationship who makes all of the decisions.
  19. Technically I'm still married to your ex. 😉
  20. You don't remember that convo because, AFAIK, it was never had. We jumped straight from the proposal to the Tell Nothing/ Shower. IMO that's an Air BnB and they threw some of Chase's things in there to "decorate" it to make it look like he lived there. We were in Wilmington at the end of March, about the time they filmed this, and a lot of the restaurants and things were as empty as Chase's. We have a house on a nearby island and we were down there locking it up because we put a pause on renting it out as an Air BnB last summer. College kids were on spring break and the city was just starting to crack down on COVID restrictions. It's a city, and a college town, but the big crowds don't pick up until summer. Tourism plays a big role. Amplify is a real place.
  21. I've only watched a few minutes of one episode. I'm trying to limit my trash tv viewing. Emphasis on "trying." I'm very weak.
  22. So many creative directions they could've gone in. And they didn't go in any of them.
  23. Yep, we have that here. Several people in my county just hang out at their house all day and take people grocery shopping, to the next town for doctor appointments, etc. Most of their "clients" are either the elderly who can't drive or people who had their license stripped from DUIs. It's supplemental income on top of their SSI or unemployment. There is zero public transportation in my entire end of the state. People get creative.
  24. Yep. Both DESIGNING WOMEN and THE GOLDEN GIRLS both had episodes about this back in the 80's. I think it's a combination of things: she's old (for him, not for life), he tore his marriage apart for her (which his parents had to pay for), they're doing this on and international stage, and Jenny originally lied to them and broke their trust when she first visited India. I wouldn't like her, either. The parts of Andrei and Libby will be played by Deavan and Jihoon this season...Not that I normally care what the parents think, but if she's going to play that game...That's right, Deavan, worry about what your mother thinks NOW. Not when you first started dating him, when you got pregnant by him, when you had his child, moved to South Korea, left, moved back to South Korea, and got pregnant a second time. Brittany is still working her influencer ass off. She probably just realized that she needed to appear more sympathetic if she was going to continue getting invitations to collab. IMO their TLC paychecks aren't purchasing the stuff in their apartment. Money in India goes far for things light transportation, rent, utilities, and food but not for furnishings. That stuff, including portable AC units, can sometimes be even more expensive there than they are here. I think they're either renting them on a weekly basis, like you can do here, or they're funding their lifestyle through Cameos and social media donations. Some of these 90DF are making bank right now. TLC barely pays shit, but the side gigs they're all doing are through the roof. I wouldn't mind a few more scenes with the silver fox, Father Yazan. At first I thought that this whole thing was weird but probably true. There are all kinds of strange couples out there. But after watching Sumit for what feels like half a dozen seasons, I agree. There's something going on here. Maybe it started out as "love" but Sumit's now playing a different kind of game. Maybe now that he's no longer married he wants to sow his wild oats. Or maybe they're gunning for a spinoff. Either way, Jenny needs to leave. The only "ring ceremony" we're going to see is when Jenny gets on the plane and Family Sumit dance in a circle and cheer. I feel very strongly that they're following a basic storyline on PT. PT is less about what they really think and more about trying to gently steer these narratives in the direction in which TLC wants them to go. They may not have actual scripts, but I think they have talking points. And that may be why some of the people were never asked back. I think what partly attracted them to each other was the Vacation Haze. When they met Ari was on Traveler Time. As a former backpacker, I can relate. You don't have to worry about schedules or work or responsibilities. Backpack Ari could sleep all day, drink all night, etc. Backpack Ari probably thought it was fun to stay in hostels and hang out with other backpackers because you become part of this hippie-like subculture. Backpack Ari enjoyed posting on Insta and sending pictures to people back home, showing off her "immersion" into the culture and how SHE was getting off the beaten path...Real World Ari, though, isn't a free spirit. Real World Ari is spoiled, doesn't appear to be that capable of handling real world stuff, and, much like my mother, seems to think that "roughing it" is staying at a hotel without indoor corridors. Trying to make a long-term relationship with a vacation fling is tough. It was over before he cut his hair. What a blow we were dealt! Jenny better turn her ass around and march back in there. We were promised more . After approximately 27 seasons of Angela and Darcey, haven't we paid our dues?
