90DF Live Chat 2: This Thread is Only 60% Good
mamadrama replied to OnceSane's topic in 90 Day Fiancé
I had COVID back in June and even though my case was not considered serious (ie, I wasn't in ICU on a ventilator), it sent me into cardiac arrest and later stopped my digestive system and I had to have surgery to remove necrotized tissue in my intestines. I'm what they're calling a "long hauler." My son has Hodgkins Lymphoma. We basically have him in a padded room. -

Does NotAmalClooney realize that her knight in shining pleather who has whisked her away to Vegas and Mexico spends his days surrounded by soft edges and diaper wipes? -

I get WHY they're going with this storyline, it goes along with the whole "bunny boiler high maintenance Natalie" thing, but this is one part of their narrative that actually makes sense. -

You don't need a Smart TV. You can watch it via a Roku, Firestick, or on your laptop or phone. You just need Amazon Prime. -

My state is not on lockdown but my family is. After what we've gone through with COVID we trust nothing and nobody. Luckily there are almost 300 acres around us so we never see anyone. -

As a character on a TV show I enjoy Uncle Beau. As someone in real life, however, I agree with Natalie. I think the show's doing her a real disservice for dancing around the main fact that she's nervous to live with him. Her reasons are valid. -

Once she gets settled in and everything I'm rooting for her to find a nice, stable independent man. -

So far I like Julia more than Brandon. -
The timeline on the show is: 18th birthday at the cabin-Mara gets drunk and spills the beans to her co-worker-social services show up at Eric's house-she tells her husband-they run away to motel. The next scene we see (episode 7) is FF several months to him in college. Neither the statutory rape nor the motel stay *should* be illegal since age of consent is 17 in Texas. It must be the abuse of power thing. They've been almost intentionally vague about her charges.

Agree. Whitney's rancidness can be no more blamed on her generation than her weight. She's a whiny, self-centered, nasty person all on her own. Just because this generation doesn't have the same problems as the ones before it doesn't mean that it doesn't have any problems.

If I never again see Michael asking Sarah if she's ovulating then it will be too soon.

This episode has had me dozing off and on. I'm still waiting for something to happen.

I don't recall hearing Chase say this. I only remember Whitney saying that Chase said this.

I've been thinking about this. I, too, believe it was always fake but I can buy that she thought her sen-shussness would sway him. I think her reactions and everything were real, just for different reasons. Now look at all her conversations with/about him and replace "baby mama" and her (Whitney) romance with show stuff: - Whitney: How could you do this to me? (Get your girl pregnant and publicly embarass me) - Whitney: Can't you still be a father AND move to Charlotte to stay with me? (Keep seeing your girl on the down low like you've been doing but stay on the show) - Chase: It wasn't planned. (I was still planning on pretending to go through the relationship and breakup with you, this just sort of happened.) - Chase: I'm so sorry, Whitney. I just don't want you to hate me! (I'm sorry I've publicly embarassed you like this and that I'm quitting) - Whitney: Now you have a girlfriend and a baby but I have nothing! (You're quitting the show to have a great life, but all I have is this embarassment and a bunch of people I only see when filming. At least while we were fake-together I could PRETEND to have someone who loved me) - Whitney: He's changing the plan-he was always meant to move to Charlotte. (For next season he was supposed to "move in" for Whitney ♥️ Chase romantic shenanigans, but his girlfriend put her foot down) - Whitney: You didn't even talk to me about saving our relationship! (You're quitting the show and aren't even open to contract negotiations.) - Chase: I can't break two girls' hearts...(If I keep doing the show and pretending that I'm not with my girlfriend then she's going to kick my ass.) It all works. I don't think Whitney's necessarily acting in any of her scenes-I think she's legit distraught that the storyline turned this way and that, unlike the other barnacles, he refused to keep playing along.

I don't see how either. He was 18 at the Bate's.

Yup, that's why they brought Lenny back. Gotta prove that she's still hot. I wonder if that role was originally offered to Buddy and he turned it down. I am a little surprised, though, that he came back. On the first time around he grew out a beard and used a fake name.

At 34:48 Chase is talking to Ryan and says, "No one's Team Chase. Everyone hates Chase. All the people that follow me are just sending me these mean-ass messages like...I was really hoping you could be, like, Team Chase." And in his talking head at 35:21: I've received some horrible, horrible mean stuff. And, you know, that's just... it's hurtful. I just get hate, hate, hate, hate, hate....and to get hit hard with all that hate from everyone...just floods of hate. Naturally Ryan's going to hang in there and be "neutral" (seriously, whenever someone says they're not going to pick a side they're still pretty much picking sides) and ride that train until it either no longer benefits him or Whitney cuts him loose. He's an opportunist and will float on whichever wave shoots him the highest. Speaking of Ryan, he's kind of looking bad in his talking heads: pale, dark circles under his eyes, bloated...I hope it's just normal quarantine stuff and nothing serious. I'm not a huge fan of his, but I don't want to see him go down the same road as Buddy.

I think Buddy is the direction that Whitney wants to go in, but he's not going to play along.

He was never going to marry Whitney. Lots of people have postponed wedding plans this year. It's difficult to have a wedding when you can't invite people to the ceremony. And perhaps they're fine with the relationship as is. I was perfectly fine living with my boyfriend and raising our child together. That first year of the child's life can be the most stressful time of the relationship. Adding wedding planning on top of that, especially during a pandemic, wouldn't be my idea of fun.I don't blame people wanting to wait.

Hired Friends: Whitney's Social Barnacles
mamadrama replied to Toaster Strudel's topic in My Big Fat Fabulous Life
TLC pays for shit. I've seen some of these contracts and I could literally make more in one weekend at our area flea market. Some of the people don't get paid at all, or, if they do, it's a standard rate of just a few hundred bucks. The only real money is for the "stars", and it's usually not money at all, but in the form of a new house (which is really for the production company's needs) and trips. Is it really worth it? The people who earn the big bucks are the ones who manage to turn their stint into something off the show-like Only Fans, Patreon, speaking gigs, conventions, etc. But in this group Whitney's the only person doing that. Is it really just the social media worship and attention keeping the barnacles around? Because I'm starting to think she has some garbage on them that she's holding over their heads... -
Social Media: What's Up With Her?
mamadrama replied to ClareWalks's topic in My Big Fat Fabulous Life
Chase's whole "we found a house to rent" is bullshit when you consider that property records show that he's owned his cute little cottage since 2017... -
Episode Translations: Whitney: Would you have been excited if I'd gotten pregnant? Chase: I'd have been excited for you. Translation: If you'd gotten knocked up by your real, non-show boyfriend then I'd have felt great for you. *** Chase: My real baby is my priority, not this fake show. Whitney: Just because you got some girl pregnant doesn't mean we can't still have a relationship! Translation: But if you abandon your baby, move to Charlotte, and keep pretending to be with me then they won’t cancel my show! *** Whitney: How many times did you sleep with her? Chase: Once. Translation: Only once THAT night...

I don't know about purple roses, but purple carnations in Russia and Ukraine symbolize antipathy.
