  1. I guess I feel without talking to an actual doctor Adam shouldn't be saying he has an illness like PPD. How does Adam know if he does? His pastor isn't a doctor. He could have a physical condition like a thyroid or testosterone problem that seems like depression. IDK the self- diagnosis really bothers me and the lack of wanting to see a doctor is immature and irresponsible for a parent of six.
  2. So is Kelly-Jo just drunk all the time? Her talking heads have droopy eyes all the time and even sometimes she is slurring. Okay I will say it. I see why almost all of these people are single at their ages. They are all so imature, dramatic and jealous about every stupid thing.
  3. I am pretty sure we have seen teeth brushing before with the quints so they probably were doing once a day. When you feed milk before bed it can be hard to get the bedtime brushing in as lots of kids start to fall asleep. I know as a parent, teeth brushing young kids is a major chore and with 5 I would hate it to be honest. I appreciate that Danielle isn't a "perfect" parent. The Nashville thing is interesting. Hopefully it is just by phone and Adam doesn't expect to travel there. I find it hard to respect people who want to tell you their illness and get sympathy/ support but won't see a doctor.
  4. Yeah I don't know why the kids try on things. You either buy the size they are currently wearing if they fit well or a size up. Over time you learn which brands run taller, bigger, etc. (like I always found carters a bit longer). The kids are two, by then you are used to sizing for your own kids and can usually just hold something up and know if it will fit. My daughter was always in daycare and I find it interesting that the daycare had twenty 2 year olds and two teachers and it was not chaos at all. On these multiple shows it is always way more chaos, I guess kids act up more for their parents.
  5. I never really understand why when a ton of the house hates you, you don't put up two people you would be happy to see go. Trusting people don't want Ramses out is silly because none of the people are aligned with you so they will just lie to you. Having a pawn rarely works and when it does it is because the HOH actually has an alliance! Hopefully, Josh does something stupid and some people reconsider and he leaves.
  6. Yes I would think it would be standard depression after a major life change. PPD involves hormone changes and Adam won't have those. If having lots of kids does cause depression in some men then I agree with you they should pick a new name. To me it is obvious Adam gets a lot of time for himself with the long hair routine and he obviously goes to the gym a lot as he is way more muscular than the first season. So that affects my sympathy for him as it seems like Danielle has to handle a lot more than him just because she can. I am breadwinner with a disabled husband so I make all the money. Yeah it is some pressure but this family could do without some things if they had too. College doesn't need to be paid for by parents, kids don't need all brand new matching outfits (yes I know they are given them but when the show is over they have to buy their own). I know quite a few people with 4 plus kids and they just manage. The same age adds some stress and the lack of ability to reuse things but they are already past most expensive things kids handown (cribs, swings, etc). So I like seeing the kids and the day-to-day life but don't really want to continually hear about how hard it is financially when you are upper middle class. At least on Jon and Kate their old house was ugly. ETA that is interesting about the testosterone. I wonder why that happens as there are no physical changes with men having babies.
  7. Ugh most of these people are insufferable now. Even somewhat nice people like Alex's mom still took too many digs on Loren's cooking. Those beliefs that the wife has to cater to the husband are so annoying and out-dated. Pedro and Chantel have so many issues. I would expect if I married an immigrant that money may be sent home so prior to marriage I would have asked about the plans/expectations of that. Pedro's relatives do seem like they are using him and he doesn't really see it. Insulting his family will not get him to recognize the issues and will make him more defensive. The voodoo stuff was pretty offensive and close minded. The model agent was hilarious. I bet she thinks she came off well with all the "I don't work for Russ bs" and "Pao will work all month". And then to check her system and work she was supposed to do wasn't done and she brushed it off like "oops my bad hehe".
  8. I think the shop probably agreed to the filming and gave the potties for free. I wondered the whole time at the bakery who they were buying all the stuff for. The kids are near 2 and they probably won't even finish one of those cookies each and Adam and Danielle are very fit so I doubt they eat that much baked goods. It just seemed wasteful, they should have mentioned they are going to church after that or having people over. The kids were born early so they may not potty train as early as Blayke. It also seems Blayke just trained pretty much instantly so it would be hard for Danielle to know how to do it when it is harder. My daughter never blew out a diaper ever so I have no experience with the poops they were showing. I wonder why the stools are so loose? Maybe the girl who does it most needs a probiotic or something to help her movements be more regular and not as diarrhoea like, maybe there is a gut health issue.
  9. It isn't really clear if they have daily help coming to the house like it was in John and Kate. You can see the stress building some now as the girls are older and harder to manage. I find that part most interesting as it would be stressful to have so many kids and always acting like it is sunshine and roses made them less relatable and real. I like that the show is still in the stage where Adam works. Once the shows become the main source of income I lose interest.
  10. I watched them all too. I spent a lot of time trying to figure which persona is real and maybe neither are. The way Jean/Diane used real life events and twisted them in her lies was interesting. It allowed for her to cover so many potential issues that could arise. It was very unusual and well done...but I still have so many questions that are unanswered!
  11. I keep wondering while watching this show if the colonies are just a regular place. Look how normal Canada seems where Luke is. Look how uncomfortable the Mexican leader seemed to be about all the "rules". IDK, maybe I watch too much stuff on cults but it seems like this could be a cult where we are seeing inside but outside there is the real world. Many cults enslave their congregation. It is interesting that Moss is doing this show considering some similarities I see to Scientology. I was thinking when Moira drives away she may be able to get out and find the real world, with the regular people and maybe with the regular people they can try and take this thing down.
  12. I figured the tracker was GPS and the partner had a location tag. I didn't see anywhere they showed how far each person got. If it took a long time and someone could only get a real mile a day of progress then this could be "Alone" for a while. I find the partners angle interesting.
  13. I have always felt that Leah is a gal that is nice enough when you get along but if you cross her she can turn from zero to major bitch in a second. I kind of respect that because I am too people pleasing and I need to not give a shit more (not be mean but I definitely let people take advantage of me). The COS really has poked the beast and it great that both Leah and Rinder can handle the BS. The following, the stories, etc. they both have been able to handle the fair gaming thus far.
  14. I work with clients in agriculture and for some farms that cannot be easily separated like a dairy barn, the run of the operation is much like the farm on this show. There is no option to get bought out (because the financing would be hard to get and the loan payments would strain cash flow) the whole farm would have to be sold so if you forced that you would be disowned. There is no money other than farm money so if you want to give a spouse money you need farm approval. I help with setting up agreements that help the situation not be so one-sided and fairer so the farm stuff mgt stuff was all too familiar. It would have been nice if there was more explanation if the Claire situation. While I could see what was going on, I never really understood why. Even on the husbands cold relationship with Nicky, I had been assuming maybe he wasn't Nick's biological son but he was wasn't he? I was disappointed in Jeannette's sister, all of that and she uses again. I thought the cases started out interesting this season but finished kind of blah. Past seasons I was really upset about how crime affected so many people but this season I didn't feel that.
  15. Thanks! The greasy hair grosses me out so I don't look too close. The dark roots thing does Whit no favours because it makes her hair look even dirtier.
  16. I am enjoying the show overall but I guess because I am in my 40s I find some of the teen angst over the top. I think Hannah seems to be purposely hurting people even though from my perspective she wasn't really wronged. I haven't seen any kind of bullying or poor treatment really, publishing the poem was a dick move but it seemed to blow over. She doesn't seem friendless, lots of people talk to her, she gets invited to parties, etc. The stop sign happened but even me as an adult wouldn't think you need to call 911 to report a sign down, I would call 311 my city info line. Drivers are supposed to be looking at intersections and should be able to see the sign on the ground and no signs on the cross street. I have seen many signs down in my life and didn't just drive straight through. Plus it was a side street where people should be driving slow. I am starting to think Hannah has some sort of personality disorder like borderline or maybe it is just the depression but she seems "wronged" by everything and everyone. My sister was like this as a teen and still as an adult so maybe for me Hannah hits too much on my dramatic upbringing with my sister.
  17. It would be interesting if they added some type of overeaters program to this show. I find what bothers me most about the ones like James who don't accept the program is that they never recognize how what they do affects the others around them. James has had a significant negative affect on his daughter, she was forced to quit school, which is just horrible and James doesn't give a shit. At least with something like AA and NA you have face your asshole behaviour. eta: if the enablers should be charged with attempted murder then James should now be charged with child abuse for having his daughter quit school and making her wipe his ass as a minor.
  18. I only watched today and some of those pop ups had me howling. Yes James all us ladies are looking to wipe a fat man's ass!
  19. Kara seems one of those "I hate drama" women who in reality create drama everywhere they go. She does seem to think herself a really nice person, not from what I have seen. It is nice to see a put together wife that isn't a size 0, refreshing. On weight, Kara is an unusual combination of really muscular but anerexic looking at the same time.
  20. I thought so too. I had expected the trophy wives to really have it all together but I found really only kids had decent lines. The whole layout of the trophy wives seemed sloppy too, the v formation was cleaner looking. I thought the bat routine was terrible, if you are going to do something slow the movements need to precise and tidy. I enjoyed the sticks more. While I don't think either group looked like professional dancers, the Whit group held their own compared to the trophies, to me it was kind of a tie, especially without the kids.
  21. I really disliked the wedding planner's dress in the strap area. I will say though that I didn't think her frame freakout was bad. It was her wedding day and she was stressed. I probably freaked over a few small things decades ago when I got married and I am still married through many things including a few critical illnesses. I do like that more dresses shown are not the regular strapless. There have been more v-necks and then the jumpsuit. You get kind of tired of the thousandth strapless fit and flair. The stripper fairy also has seemed to die down in favour of a bit more elegant designs.
  22. That is horrible. Even though she was bitchy I don't see why people call and do this type of bullying. What goes on in people's lives that in their free time they hunt reality tv people to be mean on purpose. Get a grip it is a tv show that has very little "reality". I thought at this point everyone knew all tv is scripted on some level.
  23. While I could understand how bad Nicole's childhood was and the problems it caused it always angers me how in one breath some of these 600lbers complain of the abuse and then do the same thing to their own kids. Nicole was a horrible parent just as her parents were horrible parents. That scene in the car where she needed her food and then snapped at the kids was no different than a drug addict. She loves food more than her kids. Self medicating with food doesn't make you a better person than a drug addict. If Nicole wants sympathy for her illness she should be able to give the same sympathy to her drug addict parents. I didn't really like this episode as Nicole didn't seem to try too hard. I cannot root for them when they don't try at all. I also cannot root for them when they blame people for forcing them to eat, I felt for her boyfriend's safety if he didn't get that Subway to her before she finished her burgers.
  24. I thought that was pretty mean of Babs. She definitely was saying that having a man is a important quality for women, which I think is a poor message for your children. Then she was saying Whit couldn't do that, way to support your kid. Then she said she could so she is better than Whit. At this stage I am beginning to see how Whit ended up with a food addiction. At first I thought she was just a spoiled brat but the more you see of her family the more you see the cracks in their facade.
  25. I had a lot of second hand embarrassment for Whitney when she was discussing Roy. I mean even if you think he was flirting with you, most people can hold it together and outwardly act fine. I am sure it was staged for the show but it was still embarrassing because in real life it would be so awkward if it happened. I was surprised by the pregnancy, we shall see where that goes.
