  1. I thought it was a really well done episode and gave me a lot of perspective and insight. In my province, the most discussed racism issue is with Indigenous people and the topics discussed in the media in my province are somewhat different than I see in US media. I thought the show was a good mix of serious and comedy. I am always concerned that when comedies do special serious topics that they have the potential to make light of a situation but this episode seemed to fit the family dynamic.
  2. I sad part is the makeup doesn't even stay nice, it gets all junky and messy pretty quickly, only in a few shots does it actually look okay. I think probably most people with multiples have help, I think to deny it is insulting to the viewer. Other multiple shows talked about their helpers all the time.
  3. I also enjoy their candidness. I too am not a baby person, but I am a parent and I think a decent one, though never in a million would I want to be a stay at home parent. I guess I like them because I can relate to them. I don't think that is really fair as those women have nothing to do with what Kristina is experiencing. Not everyone loves everything about being a parent right out of the gates. Personally, I think the attitude that mothers need to love everything about parenthood and not get overwhelmed or miss their old life leads women to not seek out support as they feel they will be "judged" a bad parent. I found IRL when chatting with new Moms just telling about my early "bad" days makes people feel that they are not alone and other people share the experience.
  4. I thought Gideon came off okay - a great dude is a bit of stretch for me. I can see he probably was depressed with the low energy stuff but he did wait a while to do anything about that so I can see why his wife was tired of it all already as I am sure she was finally thinking "at last he will lose weight and be able to help out". She wasn't that thin either and she probably was stressed and run ragged doing everything but I guess at least she didn't have to bath Gideon. However, unlike many other spouses on this show I did like that Kayleigh didn't want to be a caretaker and she did want Gideon to be a functioning adult, which was pretty refreshing as you do get tired of the spouses that are okay with being a nursemaid or on the flipside a spouse who loves the obesity. However, I guess there was some food shaming from her when we are so used to seeing enabling. I did like how Dr. Now criticized Gideon's "small" lunch of multiple burgers.
  5. Okay Destiny's mom is annoying and a freak. She wants Destiny induced for her own needs!!! Who does that? The baby will come when she is ready. I feel for Destiny as her mom is going to tell her exactly how to parent and nothing is more annoying as a first time parent.
  6. I don't mind them. I can relate to the early weeks at home with an infant as I found them pretty boring really. After about a week I felt really cooped up so I made a point to leave the house everyday for at least 2 hours. The pushing with her face was because she did burst some vessels in her eye. I am not sure she wants a career over a child but a career and a child, nothing wrong with that.
  7. I think it is safer for almost anyone to run, male or female. You fight if you have too and you should know how, but walking into a fight when you can run seems to be of greater risk. To me it is like if you are robbed and you fight for your stuff, it is just stuff. You have to know when you should fight an when you should run. For Angus, I feel like if he would have run too after he fell on the guy, just took off like the guy would come after him, he would be better off as the guy would have bled out and Angus would be safe (even if there isn't video, what he did may eat him alive and destroy his life). But because Angus could/would fight he flipped the guy over and saw the knife and knew he didn't have to run. The whole thing is very interesting.
  8. I have watched the show a bit. What I find most interesting and has provided me the most value is just how bad the trainers feel when trying to gain the weight. It really does show you that you do have more energy and less stomach issues when you eat better foods and don't eat so much. The trainers all have a lot of muscle so that probably prevents them from gaining as easily. I think if they gained over a few years then it would be like their clients but to gain in a short period you will probably still have muscle below the fat. Overall, it is kind of interesting but the eating is grossing me out. IDK for some reason I can watch all the gross eating on 600 lb life but on here I think because the trainers are expressing they feel so bad, I feel sympathy nauseated.
