  1. Hope they escape QUICKLY, I'm not a fan of prison dramas. I didn't get the point of the clone(?) shooting One at the end, as I assumed he would take his place. I assume he is in cahoots with the old guy CEO.
  2. I'm surprised, but I really liked Sophie in this episode. While she did end up keeping the drug (cocaine? ) for herself, I thought she really was concerned for Cam. I also was glad to see that someone finally said out loud that Jack should get counseling. My least favorite character is Tessa, who is just too credulous for words. I realize she is off her meds, that it is a stressful time, and that her role is the sweet, good person (which makes me think she may end up being involved in the murders or cover-up), but this is ridiculous. I really wish she would tell someone - preferably her detective husband - about the inconsistencies in her mother's story, instead of just accepting her mother's story. I enjoy this show, but I have to admit that I am not really watching it intently, so it is very likely that I am missing all kinds of things. Sorry, summer brain!
  3. I was ready to bail, purely because of Ramse and his "you've never been a father " wah wah wah, but the show did redeem itself with (1) Jennifer, always awesome at any age (a;though some Orphan Black special effects would have been nice); and (2) Cassie going back to 1957. I don't remember how many episodes are left in the season, but I do hope they wrap things up. I don't know if they can sustain another complete season without a lot of overplotting and episode stuffing.
  4. I have to admit, I really like it when someone wins by getting FJ right.
  5. I agree, way too much Olympics. Oh, my, imagine - athletes dope themselves to get an edge! Governments are complicit! The system is corrupt! Old news, who cares. On the other hand - "anus merkin" was awesome, and I liked the excuse training. I wish John would devote ALL his time to Trump and Brexit, at least for the next few weeks after his return.
  6. The biggest surprise to me was how much I will miss Bobo. I especially liked how Doc and Dolls worked together to shove Wynona through the window. I'm not a huge Waverly fan, although I thought the character improved throughout the season, so I'm not sure about how I feel about this development.
  7. Who was Shaw referring to when she told Blackwell that "they" all died, that "they" wouldn't have wanted her to kill him? Aside from Carter, wasn't John the only one who died? Finch and Fusco were the obvious ones, but they didn't die. I thought that was kind of a cheap misdirection, and it wasn't really necessary in such a rich episode.
  8. That was one of the best directed episodes ever. The pacing, the visuals were amazing. I literally was staring at the screen the whole time. And yet, there were absolutely no surprises whatsoever - I think it was pretty obvious that Davos was going to find out about Shireen, that Danny would save Mereen and hook up (ha ha) with Yara, that Rickon would be killed, that LF would save the day at the last minute.
  9. I don't know why I'm still watching this, other than the fact that I like Dominic Cooper. I realize Tulip is his RL live-in, but I've had enough of her. Boring and one-note, I FF all of her stuff now (starting with that meaningless traffic stop), and don't miss a thing. Why is Lucy Griffiths even in this? She must be desperate for work.
  10. Well, if either Oleg or Arkady needs a good, discreet, experienced secretary in Moscow, there just happens to be such a person available . . .
  11. Speaking for myself (as a long-time loyal fan of the show), there is NO WAY IN THE WORLD I would watch that spin-off with those characters. They smirk way too much, especially Harper Rose.
  12. Brooke Williams - don't forget the Almighty Johnsons!
  13. Except for the last few minutes (I cannot express adequately my hate for the whole Ramse/Sam thing), that was an absolutely wonderful episode. I loved everything about it - the Groundhog day aspect, Jennifer, the way Cole and Cassie related, the younger Kat, the whole Hannah thing. Also - Xander Berkley! Speaking of Cole and Cassie - I didn't really know how literally to take what he said to her - I really don't think he would chose a timeline where millions of people die so that she could live, the way Ramse did. I think he was being more poetic. Or, if so, at least he feels that way after actually getting to know her, unlike Ramse and his insta-son.
  14. Scott really is the guy. He was rocking those rubber gloves! I miss Helena, don't miss Krystal at all.
  15. Add me to those who are completely sick of Paige and the way Philip and Elizabeth are caving in to her every demand. I can see why this SL looked appealing - it beings up all kinds of generational/religious/moral/family/political issues, but it's just awful now. Maybe I don't have a lot of family feeling, and the point is to show that Philip and Elizabeth's strengths - understanding and manipulating people - are of no use in a family setting, but I simply don't understand why they are continually giving her information she is clearly unable to process. Why didn't Elizabeth stress that she acted in self defense and to protect Paige, and that Paige was going to be going to self-defense school ASAP? Why didn't Elizabeth explain that she wasn't calm, she was in shock and had to handle the situation as best as she was able for everyone's (including Paige) sake? Why did she say she couldn't remember how many people she's killed, without any context whatsoever? Ugh. If the writers want to increase tension by the will they/won't they be exposed, they could have done it without all this family drama. Sorry, but I cannot think of any show that's been successful in focusing on indulged, self-focused teenagers (I'm thinking of Homeland, Tyrant). I have to say how much I love Oleg. He's such a decent guy, trying to do the right thing. I thought his good-bye call to his mother shows that he knows he's in for a bad time since it's likely he'll be identified as the leak (or will be defecting, I guess).
  16. Yeah, that was kind of repetitive, but I think that's the nature of the show. They really need to do a better job of filling in the characters, because they are just stagnant now (except for the WPC, of course), with nothing new about them since basically the first episode. I don't know how the Inspector is able to be civil to Doyle, given that Doyle apparently wrote a book in favor of the Boer war in which the inspector's son died. I totally agree that the episode would have been a million times better with the full-on Jennifer Goins experience (Emily Hampshire's role in 12 Monkeys). Her accent was pretty funny, though. I hope she is a frequently recurring lover for Houdini, since I think they are a great pair. In my opinion, Mama Houdini was much worse than her son, who at least tried to recognize that she is an adult entitled to her own life. After she told him she wasn't going to be seeing that (apparently very nice, very rich) gentleman any more because she and Harry had each other, all I could think was - hmm, classic psycho killer paradigm. Or something like that. My favorite part of the episode - Mme. Khourza's beautiful headdress. Edit: I assume Adelaide's deception has to do with (solving?) her husband's death, although there's been no indication whatsoever of that.
  17. I thought that was dreadful - even (finally!) bringing Lionel on the team, and bringing Shaw back wasn't enough to redeem it. That whole voice thing was ridiculous - I don't even think about things, but even I knew that it was a set-up for the first guy to kill the second. Everything was just so predictable. Boy, talk about over elaborate plans, I guess they needed to pad out the hour. I'm a big EC fan, but I am heartily sick of the omniscient Elias.
  18. Thanks for letting us know! I've gotten a number of Shark Tank products, and am always interesting in hearing about other people's experience.
  19. ElectricBoogaloo: it wasn't until reading your excellent post (sorry, I didn't register a "like" because I'm not really "okay with not much moving the plot forward" since everyone's character has already been well-established and not changed in this episode) that I realized: None of the female characters did anything even remotely productive, but each of the men did.
  20. I was pretty sure she said "It's Carrie" in response to Hood's calling her Ana.
  21. What a colossal waste of time. Except for the 20 sec of Delphine news (which was hardly a surprise) and Mika contacting Kira at the very end (without actually saying anything), there was no plot advancement at all. It was nice to see Beth, even if briefly, but - so what? Sarah reverts to her drug/drunk/sex ways - so what? Cosima starts to put the bot in herself - but doesn't. S is giving up on Sarah - but doesn't. Rachel is Rachel - nothing new in that part of the story line. I guess the point of the episode was to show them moving forward (finally) after Kendal's death - but that could have been done a lot more efficiently. If I were S, I would hardly have been making breakfast for Sarah. What would have totally redeemed it for me was if the club singer had turned out to be a clone.
  22. Wow, Hugo really is a good therapist. Always nice to see Fish, but that outfit was terrible. The fact that she's wearing it shows she's not herself.
  23. As a woman, I can tell you it's totally accurate!
  24. Sorry, I think calling it PMS Bites really is unnecessary restrictive. Not only does it leave out men, children, non-menstruating women, restricting it to PMS days is also limiting. Of course it is appropriate for products that are directed to specific conditions - but this is just a health treat (and very similar to the ones I like for breakfast, made with dates, cocoa, chia, flax etc) with some "medicinal" herbs. I liked Lori's idea of changing the name, but also pointing out in the marketing that it may provide some relief. For that matter, maybe the entrepreneur could make a more expansive line, with different herbs and seasonings for different conditions, the way tea is marketed, to expand the potential market. I really liked the woman, though, and thought her pitch was clever and original. I thought the last guy, with the shock watch, was a little weird, but I think he was probably correct about working with Kevin. On the other hand, his valuation was ridiculous, and he might have been better off taking the deal. I have to admit, if they were cheaper, I might buy one since I have a number of habits I could break with some conditioning. Of course a rubber band around the wrist probably works the same, but its hard to find one that's not too loose or too tight.
  25. I hate to say it, but I think I'm losing interest in this show. I really like Wynonna, and only find it interesting when she is on screen. Sorry, don't at all care about or for Waverly, am tired of Doc H., and find Dolls boring. In tonght's episode, was the serial killer/revennanT Jeremy Danvers from Bitten? The opened up girl was pretty creepy.
