  1. I didn't realize that Haya Harareet died this year. Don't recall any other movies she was in, but I do remember her from Ben-Hur as Esther, who was in love with Charleston Heston's character Judah Ben-Hur. She was so stunningly beautiful in that movie. I'm 54, but I watch it whenever I can catch it on tv. In fact, it was on this week on TCM. In fact, I just read she was the last surviving credited cast member.
  2. I also do not give to charities because I don't think half the of money gets to the people in need, but I do donate to World Central Kitchen, run by Jose Andres. They provide hot meals to ANYONE in need in times of crisis including first responders. https://wck.org/. They are currently in Kentucky and the other states that were affected by the tornados and they stay as long as they are need. Again, to Mod's sorry for going off topic.
  3. Seriously... I was looking forward to this but only got through half of episode 2 and thought it was terrible. The acting is bad, KD fillers on her face looked painful and cheap. She was so attractive so I don't understand what she was thinking. SJP looks horrible, and quite frankly I was fast-forwarding. I won't be watching again.
  4. I'm really surprised that TLC has not made any comments. I remember back in the day I watched a lot of their programs, now... not so much. They are responsible for continuing to allow these screwed up families to have a show. The Gosslins, Duggers, Roloff's... they are all greedy.
  5. I'm glad this disgusting pug is going to prison. What he did to his sisters is unforgivable... to me anyway. I had a friend through school that told me she was sexually abused by her father and brother. Her mother was aware but turned a blind eye. Father died in a accident and brother died of drugs. She never forgave them or her mother. She went to tons of therapy, got a good job and met a wonderful man, married and had children and an awesome life. But she says it never goes away. It lives deep i her soul everyday. So people can go on and lead fulfilled lives. she sees these stories and it brings up a lot of bad shit for her. She knows she's lucky does Anyone think Josh was ever sexually abused as a child ? I have my suspicions, but it does not make me feel sorry for him. Not now.
  6. After watching this video, it irks me that he never lets Anna go first. He steps in front of her the entire time. Watching them walk into the building, he stepped right in front of her. What ass.... I'm glad he's guilty. She'll never change either. Sorry for he rant.
  7. I stopped watching last season and have no interest in watching this season. I only come here to read the snark.
  8. I apologize for just seeing this post. Has anyone ever used "A Place For Mom"? I think my mother is almost to the point where she needs assistant living. She lives with me now , but she starting to get dementia and though I care about her, I'm not comfortable providing washing and dressing. Please don't judge me. I'm a nice person, just not with those things. I work from home as well and taking its toll on me with no sibling help.
  9. I agree. I also thought I hit a button by mistake. I understand why they do it, but it was distracting to me.
  10. I'm surprised that Dr. Mercy and her assistants wear very little protective equipment. The assistants always have their hair hanging down. But when the boils on that poor girl's butt was squirting they were quick to put the goggles on. I felt sorry for her.
  11. I can watch any type of surgery except anything with eyes. Watched an entire hip replacement from start to finish. I had to get one and wanted to see what I was in for since I was scheduled to have one. It fascinated me. The doctors are not gentle with you when your under anesthesia - Lol. My surgery was successful and it was the best decision I ever made.
  12. OMG, I know -- I thought I read the screen wrong when they provided her age! They said she was 35 correct?
  13. Was a bit under-whelmed with Dr. Mercy. It was mindless tv. I'll stick with Dr. Lee.
  14. Wow -- Bravo!!! I'm with you all the way. I remember when this happened and I watched the documentary 2-3 times over the years. I still wonder, all these years later, how her son is.
  15. In the picture with Ember, Jackson's legs are so bowed. I hope he's not in any pain. He looks like such a happy kid, I hope he will be able to get them corrected soon. They both look so cute.
  16. I don't post very often, but read everyone's comments and I appreciate everyone's insight and snark. I have not watched the show in a long time, as it just got ridiculous. But, I just can't go on without making a comment on this whole stupid wedding. I appreciate that Amy found love again. Heck, I'm 54 and would like to find another love (but I'm content where I am). She is acting like a 21 year old girl -- for goodness sake. She had a beautiful first wedding (from what I've seen) and was married for over 20 years (albeit not always happy years)!!!! Seriously, I think this whole wedding thing is absolutely ridiculous for someone her age (and his for that matter). The white gown, the bachelorette parties, etc, -- it's just over the top. Why not have a small family affair then go travel the world for a few weeks and get out of everyone face. Sorry -- I just can't with this family! They are bunch of non-educated, money grubbing people. Too many other issues going on in this world to worry about the Roloffs. Thank you for letting me post!!!!

Yes!!! I teared up totally. I thought it was great with the theme song playing. I was waiting for James Earl Jones to walk out.
  18. I actually hate when Julia watches a cook complete an entire dish and says "Well Done". She does it ALL the time. It drives me nuts, like she's their superior or something
  19. I cannot imagine why Dr. Lee and the other doctor would think they could remove that in an office setting. I'm no doctor, but that poor man needed to be put under sedation in order to remove that. I can't imagine how much pain he would have been in. Not enough numbing solution could have made him comfortable. I have watched all her shows and youtube videos, but this was disturbing to me. They should immediately made arrangements for a hospital operation. The clips from next week show they did make that decision.
  20. I've seen the movie a few times and I agree that his father did not help him deal with the loss of his mother. It seems that he dated rather quickly, but they don't give a time line when she died. Was it a few months earlier, a year, two years. I love Shirley Jones and I Ronnie Howard. I don't think Glen Ford was the best pick to play Eddie's father. I think he's a boring actor.
  21. I agree. I was looking to see if Missy and Tim's daughter was in the wedding. I'm sure she was. You can't have everyone on camera. Some people may Not want to be. Anyway. I don't care for Ree or her food, but it's their money and they can spend it how they wish. It did look beautiful and Alex seems like a very nice person. Chuck seemed very frail looking though.
  22. Cannot stand Don Lemon. I never watch his show. Would never miss him. He is the biggest whiny ninny on CNN. He makes everything about himself. CNN has many other talented reporters that could take his spot.
  23. I agree... she's a real chef unlike Ree. I really don't mind her, she makes some good food. "Giada at Home" is the thread on this forum.
