I'm disappointed that Xander is yet another Salem man who thinks it's alright to physically threaten and outright harm a woman. And why can't Nicole express her anger at Daniel to Daniel, instead of taking it out on another woman? It's no wonder soaps are almost dead. They've barely evolved. The he-man, knuckle-dragging shit has got to go. Will the the new woman co-head writer writer be an improvement based on her past work, or has she internalized the same shitty attitude toward women as the industry dinosaurs that surround her?

Why must Nicole beg and grovel at Dr. Tan's feet every day? It's fucking gross, and I'm tired of it. No one on earth is worth this degradation. I wholeheartedly agree with the poster upthread who said that Corday is living through Dan. What a tedious, controlling little man he must be. We can hope! But seriously, that could be an awesome story. And it would give MR something else to do but get into JJ's sex life and whine to Daniel that he's not her friend anymore.

Verily! At this point I don't even feel bad for Ivy and Ally anymore. Rick and Maya treat them like house servants? Why not tell them to fuck off. They treat them like shit at the office? Again, why not tell tell them to fuck off. WHAT DO THEY HAVE TO LOSE? A room and a job? They are both both grown-ass women with a lot of money and talent. There is absolutely no believable reason for either of them to put up with Napoleon and his toady. It's so stupid. But apparently the writers are going to drag out this plot point until the living Bratz doll shows back up, which totally sucks. It would have been so much more interesting if Ivy, Ally, Ollie, Pam, Wyatt, Carter, and Ridge had banded together to get rid of Rick ... or if they had left and started their own company ... or anything but this and the return of Steffy. Ugh. Still bitter about JMW coming back.

I couldn't even pay attention the show today. The eminent return of Steffy has cast a pall over the whole damn thing, so I might as well disengage now.

That means I'm out, then. I can't stand the character or the actress. What an awful decision.

Next week sounds horrible. Maybe I'll tune in for the last five minutes on Friday, if I remember. I miss the days of having multiple soaps on at one time, so that when one started to suck you could just turn the channel and get into another one.

Hi-larious! Jen Lilley looks like so much fun, and she makes her job look easy. Days is lucky to have her.

Having Abigail as a lead is mind-boggling. And what's really pathetic is that she's on all the time but really doesn't have her own story. She's DOOL's version of Kiki Jerome. A useless, obnoxious character portrayed by a middling, weird looking actor. For all its problems, though, Days is still superior to General Hospital in every way IMO. I would really hate to lose it. Not that it looks like it's going anywhere soon, since new writers are on board and they're so far ahead with taping.

Wait. I thought Dr. Tan was only tangentially and unnecessarily attached to the Kiriakis family through Maggie and the whole egg baby nonsense. But he grew up with Brady, Victor, et al? So who is his father? It never occurred to me to ask until now, given my general disinterest in/dislike of the character.

And then kills herself! Don't forget that. And since Ron C. only knows how to recycle his own or others' stories, it would be the perfect opportunity to bring back the killer chandelier . . .

Brooke is pathetic. And an asshole of epic proportions. Can't they leave Ridge and Caroline alone, and move Brooke along to something or someone else? Ditto for Nicole. I still can't get over her taking Ally's room. Such a dick move. And yes, a thousand times yes, to Rick and Maya's unbelievable behavior in the office.

How is it possible for this show to go lower than it already has? Morgan and Kiki's vile smugness, Sonny's ridiculous hypocrisy, the horrible beasts that are Nina and Franco ... and are they really killing off Ava? Obviously the cast is bloated, but instead of getting rid of flops and shitty actors they're going to write out one of the most talented people they have? It makes no fucking sense. And can Kiki please go away? Her name alone is annoying.

That's too bad. It's not cool to try to take advantage of people like that, and it's not cool that fans fall for it.

Dan is such a hypocritical asshole. Dude needs to stop meddling in other people's business. Loved Victor reading that stupid little elf the riot act, and then Marlena dropping another truth on his head. Too bad Guy Wilson's reaction to all of it was to purse his lips. Some more. He's really not very good. Can Freddie Smith please take GW with him? Seriously though, I'll be sad to see FS leave. But maybe it's for the best. He almost killed himself and his girlfriend in an act of utter stupidity and irresponsibility not too long ago, and for most people that would be a life altering event. Maybe he just needs time off from the soap opera grind to reflect, to be thankful, and to figure out where he wants to go next. I wish him all the best. He's talented and seems like a nice guy IRL, and hopefully DOOL will leave the door open for him to come back someday.

Ugh, Farah Fath. I was glad to have quit OLTL when I did and thankfully missed most of her run. She always had such stupid looking haircuts.

Raccoons are way cuter and more self-aware than Jennifer Rose Horton. They totally own being selfish little thugs. Jennifer can't admit to anyone, much less herself, that she has taken perverse delight in having her heel on Eve's neck. None of this is about JJ's happiness or protecting Paige from the horrible actions of her mother. It's all about Jennifer.

I watch way too much Investigation Discovery and old episodes of Forensic Files to ever - and I mean ever - find Quinn entertaining to watch. She is a profoundly disturbing individual. Everyone saying they have to watch what they say and watch what they do so as to not set her off is the same kind of bullshit behavior that abusers get away with. I loathe the character. Maya is still boring. Giving her an asshole sister doesn't solve that problem, either. Rick's turnaround is inexplicable. The way these characters just change on a dime is so . . . clunky. I get that they had to rewrite stuff because of LG's accident, but they could and should have done better than this.

This show is revolting. Even if the stories weren't stupid and insulting, they're beyond boring.

So true. Nicole hasn't been given anything to do but cry and beg Eric and then Daniel to love her. She's had more conversations with herself in the last six months than with anyone else. Such a waste. I think AZ is the most talented person on the show, but you wouldn't know it from the stuff she's had to play for the past year.

Will is such an idiot. Sucks to have people air your dirty laundry in public like that! Jackass. Will should be thankful it wasn't a family member who went behind his back and screwed him over, like he did to his mother and grandmother. Poor Lucas. He didn't deserve to have his job threatened for something his moron son did. Not cool. Hopefully Victor losing his temper won't get in the way of his nefarious plans for the hillbilly. Clyde needs to die. Adrienne giggling about Lucas being on top was hilarious. JE was really good there. Too bad Adrienne spends so much time being an Abigail-propping jerk, because if she was happy and carefree more often I might actually like her. It won't last. She only ever admits a shortcoming so other people will tell her that no, nothing is really her fault. I'm actually sad about Melanie leaving, mostly because it means her airtime is going to go back to insipid, insufferable Abigail. Why can't KM leave instead? Whyyyyyyyyyy (said Nancy Kerrigan style)! ETA: I wonder if MA's exit will affect GV at all. Eric hasn't done anything in months, and I don't think GV and AZ have much chemistry, either. Eric is still in desperate need of a new personality courtesy of a bonk on the head. It was such a mistake to bring him on as a priest.

I really enjoyed today's episode (well, except for the Abigail parts). Having townspeople get together to celebrate an event, instead of watching it on tv in a hotel room or having it happen offscreen and talking about it later, is one of my favorite things about soaps. As usual, I love everything about Ciara and Chase. Such cute and realistic little kids. While I don't care either way about Paul, he and Sonny make a gorgeous couple. I mean, damn. CS and FS are hot. Dunno how I feel about Lucas and Adrienne yet. I'm not repulsed ... but not thrilled either. It is nice to see people in their 40s still treated as sexual beings, though. But I totally agree about Adrienne. She's a pretty woman, and her hair looks so much better than it used to. She was sportin' a pretty stupid haircut for awhile.
