I'm not a heartless person, but I don't much care if MB is working to save tuition money for his kids. He's earned more in the last 20+ years of messing up my soap than most people on the planet will earn in a lifetime of working. If he and his producer wife haven't saved enough already, then his kids will have to do what so many others do, and earn scholarships and take out student loans. I'm not saying this angrily (tone is so difficult to convey here!), but wearily. It was a breath of fresh air when Sonny was not the focus for about half a minute, and the prospect of him, Carly, and Jason eating this show again makes me sad and frustrated. I just don't understand what TIIC are thinking.

Maybe this should go in the Unpopular Opinions thread (?), but I don't even care about the reveal because I think that Jason should have remained fish food. Killing him off, and in such an unceremonious way, was probably the best thing FV/RC did for this show. But beyond that, it's a stupid story that has absolutely ruined Liz (not to mention Patrick). Hopefully the new writers will be able to salvage her, because Becky Herbst is a damn fine actor and she doesn't deserve to be Tony Jones'd because a hack writer wrote her character into a corner as a consequence of his own arrogance and hubris and stupidity. /aggravated I could only stand to watch a few minutes today. Sonny's hypocrisy is just ... there are no words for it. I hate this character so much.

If they do, then I will actively (though sadly) root for cancellation. I resent that GH has been written around this character for years and wish MB would retire, or at least have the decency to see that his character as a frontburner is horrible for the show and agree to move into the background.

You're not alone tvgoddess. I want Ava to stay as well. I do hate Morgan and Kiki, though. My hope is that baby AJ is revealed to be Morgan's, Ava gets her baby back (no way should that heinous beast Carly be her mom), and then Morgan and Kiki are both killed. My UO: I don't mind new Dillon.

It really is. I have zero interest in what's going on between Paul, Sonny, and Will. It's so stupid, contrived, and boring. And what was so weird about Sonny and Adrienne's conversation was that she asking Sonny if it was odd to hang out with his long-ago ex, instead of asking if it was odd to hang out with the man your husband cheated on you with just a couple of months ago. WTF? Also, what year does Ben think it is? Because in the year I live in, a woman doesn't need to trap a "daddy" into marriage and can raise a baby all by her damn self. No man needed. So fuck off and die, you stupid piece of plastic. If you want to be mad at your idiot girlfriend for being a cheating jerk, do it without the misogyny.

Now I love Kim McCullough and wish she'd come back to stay, but she's clearly moved on to something else that makes her happy. So, I wouldn't mind Elizabeth Hendrickson as Robin at all. Seriously. Why was he even at the hospital yesterday? His presence was completely unnecessary. Must John Aniston share every second or third of his limited scenes with SC? The only two stories I can think of that don't include Dr. Tan or Abigail are Lucas and Adrienne's affair and Kate and Justin's business story, and both of those get next to no airplay at all.

Totally agree. I don't know why Days has such a difficult time keeping women in their 20s, and yet KM just hangs around and then gets the whole damn show written around her shitty, shitty character. Anyway, Abigail's death could really drive some great stories for Jennifer and JJ. Please new writers, make it happen. I also don't feel sorry for the mannequin. He knows Abby cheated on him and in fact has a history of cheating (does he know about her gaslighting Austin?) and he still wants to marry her. I think boes is right, and this is becoming as much about beating out Chad as it is being the winner in a contest for the fugly Abigail. Whatever. Chad needs to move on while I still like the character. I won't be able to hand wave his strange attachment to Abby much longer. Hopefully today marks a new beginning for Teresa. Poor Jen Lilley has been stuck in such horrible stories. I'm also looking forward to what happens with Victor. And yes, why the hell are Xander and Serena still here?

Why must Michelle Stafford repeat all of her lines? She was even worse today than the last time I was able to sit through one of her scenes. She's just horrible. It must be depressing for all the good soap actors who are still out of work see her on land a cushy gig with the protection of its tone deaf, head-up-his-ass EP. I'm hoping the whole re-centering the show around the whirling, twirling mobster and his idiot family is just a trial balloon. More Sonny and Carly is the second to last thing GH needs (the last thing is Franco and Nina, of course).

As it is, I only watch about an hour a week right now. If Sonny and Carly and their spawn are put back front and center, I won't watch at all. It wouldn't be that difficult to fix this show, but the people running it don't seem to have a clue how to do it. Focusing on the Corinthii, putting Rebecca Budig on contract, firing Michael Easton but not Howarth, Stafford, and the young woman who plays Kiki, etc. I mean, what the fuck?

And a wedding! These people forgot Aly as soon as her body was cleared off the side of the road. And Dollar Bill, apologizing! Can't have a character go around being cruel, saying mean things and humiliating someone and not paying for it . . . oh wait. I already disliked Rick and Maya, but the propping and glossing over their horrible actions and behavior just makes me despise them all the more. I just don't give a single shit about either one of them.

Awww, that hedgehog is the cutest! I think the lesson here is that what's cute on a hedgehog is not cute on a human, Guy Wilson. Strange show today. Hopefully it was a total mess because the new writers had so much to cut from the old writers. But if their solution is to continue to center the show around Abigail, I won't be able to take it. And poor Mary Beth Evans, to be reduced to this. At least KA gets a break from Hope's Abigail propping duties to play in other stories and with other people, but MBE gets nothing. Kayla's whole world revolves around a complete cipher. The last straw today was when Kayla handed Abigail a tissue for her non-existent tears. Kate Mansi is horrible. She can not act. She has got to go. I don't want a recast, either. The character is a complete failure and not at all what the writers believe her to be. In fact, Abigail makes fun of people who take in homeless animals! Just another reason to hate this horrible character. Anyway ... annabel, I think you're right. Casts seem to be the exception anymore.

Paige and Abigail did a Midol product placement not too long ago, too. It was terrible and awkward, but nowhere near as bad as that rice one. Poor Peggy McKay, having to plug rice.

So glad you wrote this. I couldn't figure out what Theresa had done to Marlena (have they even shared a scene?) and forgot all about Theresa giving John a knock in the noggin with the fireplace poker. It's John. Who cares?

That wig really is incredibly ugly, unflattering, and cheap looking. I feel so bad for Maura West.

I recently saw Suzanne Rogers/Naggie on an old episode of Quincy, MD. She's aged very well.

It is interesting, isn't it, that they built that great cabin set and only used it for about a week ... but cut down the Brady Pub to a booth when it's a set that could be used several days a week forever. The people running this show do make some strange decisions.

My first thought? Please let Abigail be one of the victims!!! Second thought? Why bring back former fan favorites only to kill them off? Ron Carliavati isn't writing this soap now, is he?

Nicole doesn't need yet another person to humiliate her on a daily basis, so hopefully the very poorly-dressed Chloe will not be sticking around. Also, I have long hair, but you couldn't pay me to style it like a Kardashian. It's not a good look on anyone. Jennifer's developer troubles reminded me of the terrible screwing the people from the South Central Farm received (see the awesome film The Garden). Fighting for homeless teens is a righteous cause so this might be a good story for Jennifer, but only if MR can dial back the Horton entitlement she wraps her character in these days.

GH doesn't need Kiki at all, whatever form she takes. Also, do head writers even have the power to determine such things? I assumed when Ron C. killed off Duke, it was only with the approval of FV.

OK, thanks Apprentice79. So he wanted Eric and Nicole to stay together? If so, I can see why. AZ is the best actor on the show, IMO (along with LK and JL).

What is wrong with this man? This is a serious question. Is he stunted in some way? I've heard that he's stubborn and a bit arrogant, and so will not admit to making a mistake, but his strange pimping of Franco and Nina goes beyond that.
