Yes, I noticed that she attempted some gaping but wasn't completely successful. Artificially filled up face not withstanding, she's just not a very good actor.

The guy who plays Kyle is good, which of course means he probably won't be around for long. I also enjoyed Paige and Bev's conversation, especially Paige's parting shot about keeping JJ away from Bev's mother. Brady's day just isn't complete until he threatens a woman, is it? What an insufferable douche. And another day where nearly everyone who isn't sharing a scene with Abigail has to talk about Abigail. I hate this character so much. *cries* Days needs a good ol' fashioned lab explosion, with Abigail and the hillbilly as the only victims.

I'm still so angry. That's was some nerve of douchebag Rick to tent his hands and say, to the father of the girl he tormented, that maybe, just maybe, he should have been nicer to Aly. And for asshole Maya to stand there and say, yeah, maybe she should have been more considerate ... instead of giggling while having Aly fetch her and Rick ice cream while they lay there in bed after just having had sex, or manipulating her into giving foot massages, etc. Those two are the fucking worst. It makes no sense that B&B got rid of a talent like Ashlyn Pearce but keep inviting back the mediocrity of JWM. So, so stupid.

I'm not really watching anymore, because of the terribleness that is JMW, but have tuned in this week. It's disgusting that Ally has been sacrificed for Maya and Steffy. I mean, the short-sightedness of this story is shocking. Poor Thorne.

Me, three. I would be so sad if Days was canceled. And what would they put in it's place? Another vapid talk show, judge show, or game show? If so, then I won't be watching NBC at all. Why don't the people in charge of soaps understand something very simple - it's the writing, stupid. Give the audience good stories with interesting characters and they will watch (and get their friends, family, twitter followers, etc., to watch). There's no way in hell I will evangelize for the likes of Abigail, Dr. Tan, or the other "good" hypocrites, or for the nonsensical plots, or for the general misogyny that infects the writing (here and on GH). I wish NBC (and ABC) would see that there is still a soap-viewing audience out there that is worth investing in, but we want more than this. New writers can only do so much. How about giving them more reasonable writing schedules? And give the actors, camera people, directors, set builders, and on, more reasonable shooting schedules? I just don't understand how fast, fast, fast, and the subsequent decline in quality saves any money in the end, you know?

Happytobehere, John and Marlena aren't together at the moment but seem to be making their way back to each other. And yes, Roman is still played by creepy-faced and difficult to understand Josh Taylor. This whole episode was either about drama queen Abigail or drama queen Dr. Tan. I need for both of these characters to board a rocketship to the sun.

Seriously. Why she didn't arrange for Abigail to end up on death row or something for gaslighting and stalking her son and trying to ruin his marriage and career is beyond me. Kate should despise Abigail, when she thinks of her at all.

So, while I despise Abigail, I loathe Ben's casual misogyny even more. In Friday's episode, he explained away her moodiness by saying, "well, she's a woman." And he did something today (I forget) that was just as bad. Fuck off, you stupid piece of plastic. The basketball scenes were indeed weird. Why is Sonny not upset by all this? And where was the snarky Rafe of Friday? Galen Gering is at his best when he gets to play Rafe as a smart ass. Poor LK. Not only does Kate have to play a fool in order to be with that gross hillbilly, she has to prop Abigail, too. I am a little worried about the new writers, but if they change the focus of this show away from Dr. Tan and Abigail, it will be an improvement.

I think the writing absolutely sucks and that Ron C. is a pissy little hack who should be fired, but I have no respect for Tony Geary. He threw his power around while he was employed, demanding awful stories and bragging about it, and has a better life than most of the people on the planet will ever have, and he's crowing about being free? FUCK OFF, JERK. He's no better than Ron C., throwing passive aggressive bombs now that he has nothing to lose. Not that I'm watching anymore, but I'm very glad this epic douche is finally off the show. Hopefully Ron will be soon be gone, too, so I can start watching again.

Yes, you're absolutely right, boes. I can easily picture JPL as Kate's son but not at all as Victor's. I wonder who they're going to pair him with, because if it's with the woman who played Chloe, then I can't see that, either. Luckily I skipped most of the Gigi years. I stopped watching when it became clear that TSJ was going to gobble up the show. Now there was a tic-laden ham! I do not care for TSJ and frankly am relieved that he's not the one showing up on Days, so that's probably why I'm meh about JPL. It could be worse!!!! Now I'm going to REPENT (tm Nina from GH) for a few days for even bringing up Trevor's name.

Same here. Since I'm a relatively new viewer I have no other Philip Kiriakis with which to compare. But, when JPL first came on OLTL he was pretty good. I don't remember him being terrible when I stopped watching in the mid-2000s (maybe he was?), but he was indeed awful at the end. It was the tics, as everyone said, and the unsympathetic way he played the character. I came to despise Rex Balsam or Buchanan or whatever last name he ended up with, and especially hated the way he treated the stupidly named and coiffed Gigi (even though I didn't like her, either). Perhaps he will be better with non-Ron Carliavati writing and non-Frank Valentini producing.

I like to read character-specific ranting and praise mixed in with all the other ranting and praise. It keeps things interesting. Also, I'm lazy and don't want to have to keep track of more than a few threads. So my preference is to keep keep things as they are.

Serena really is an idiot. Can she please kill Xander and go on the run? I am so bitter that they turned him into a woman-hating strangler and am ready for him to come to a bloody end. Which is a shame, because PT and AZ had amazing chemistry in their first couple of scenes together. Eric is also an idiot. I sincerely hope the new writers give GV more to do than ... whatever it is he's doing right now. I will never understand why KM and SC are the center of this show. KM can't even get her eyes to water up, much less squeeze out a tear. Even the terrible Shawn Christian can manage a drip here and there. Yes. She's asking Kayla to breach medical ethics and the law by looking at Chad's charts and comparing his particulars to a paternity test (when she's far enough along to get one done). This in a nutshell is my problem with this character. She's a selfish, self-righteous, hypocritical, violent, and stupid serial cheater. And yet, she's supposed to be the good girl. I don't care that Abigail enjoys sex (everyone should!), or that she enjoys sex with more than one partner (whatever floats your boat!). What bothers me is that she's a horrible person that the whole damn town loves and falls all over themselves to excuse when she does something heinous. I really wish they'd kill her off as well. It could lead to great stories for Jennifer and JJ.

So, rather than wanting to be with a woman who is funny, witty, ambitious, and smart in addition to being beautiful, lean, and sexy, Chad wants to be with someone who is dull, self-involved, has no sense of humor, only has a job because of her mommy, has a history of gaslighting and being violent, is a serial cheater, and is also short, bowlegged, knobby-shouldered and all around strange looking? Ok, then.

It's his Neanderthal-like brow. For me, anyway.

One of their first acts needs to be unshackling Kate from that child abusing, knuckledragging yokel. Her interest in this man is inconceivable.

I'm ready for Xander to be murdered. If he weren't a misogynist, and a strangler, I'd enjoy his evilness. But since he is, I don't. Nicole should have repeatedly kicked him in the balls instead of slapping him. So stupid the way they've de-fanged Nicole in order to prop Dr. Tan. If anything, I hope this story will lead to a new, more gray-hat personality for Eric. GV can be so good when given decent material. AZ's hair continues to be terrible. Her hair cutting and styling choices are baffling. Also, why did the drunk guy wrap his legs around JJ during their fight? That wouldn't be the maneuver I'd choose to avoid being punched in the face. Maybe he's working undercover to arrest the weird guy who wants JJ for drug-dealing. Maybe it will tie into Clyde somehow? I'm all for anything that gets Clyde off the screen sooner rather than later. This was an especially grievous oversight when the very same day Paige was complaining about the heat and rubbing ice cubes all over herself.

Like TigerLynx, I'd like for Sami to return in order to teach these idiots how to commit a successful murder. Nicole desperately needs help to get rid of Xander, since these writers have made her dumb and dependent. Also, whatever these writers are doing to Sonny is just mind-boggling and gross. It would be a interesting change for soap characters to be really dead and not mostly dead, but it would be even nicer if TIIC would just stop killing people off for cheap ratings ploys and let them leave town instead. Jordan had one of the best exits I've seen in awhile.

Yeah, I just watched the last few minutes and don't like this turn one bit. I was hoping the foreshadowing from yesterday was wrong. It is difficult to believe that anyone who uses her baby (especially for the lame purpose of getting a man) truly loves her child. It's disgusting the way these writers/producers portray women.

Enough with the flashbacks of Chad and Abigail having sex!!!! It was bad enough the first time. Abigail is such an insufferable character, and I think KM is so bizarre looking that it takes me out of every scene she's in. Please, send Abigail back to Ireland or wherever that letter she's trying to boo hoo about came from. I really like Teresa and Eve together but wish they'd get themselves a more interesting nemesis.

I really don't understand why they would kill Paige. Why not have her go off to Stanford? If it's because they wanted a disaster scenario, well, there are many other ways to accomplish that. It sucks so much about Daniel Cosgrove and Lauren Boles. I loved Aiden and Hope together, and really thought his and Nicole's burgeoning friendship could have gone somewhere. He's certainly more interesting than stupid Dr. Tan.

So is it speculation or has it been confirmed that Ben and Clyde are out? Hopefully it's confirmed . . . I'd be pretty happy if Dr. Tan leaves the show. He brings everyone down.

How stupid. Kate Mansi and Shawn Christian will still be around but True O'Brien and Daniel Cosgrove are out? I'm particularly pissed about DC. He's a compelling, good looking actor playing a believable, morally decent-with shades of gray character while SC is a middling, doofy looking actor playing a shitty character who everyone in town inexplicably loves, admires, and can't think without. So, so stupid. And if they kill off Aiden and leave poor little Chase without a parent, I'll really be pissed. Not to say I'm not angered over KM still being around. There are so many better actors out there who could do a much better job. It makes no sense.

I hardly ever pay attention to Will since GW took over, so today when Sonny confronted him with the information from Chad, I didn't get it. Can someone please tell me why Will is lying about the marriage therapist story? QuelleC, Xander was shot in the back with a tranquilizer. I would have rather seen him killed off right then and there by Navidad. If that straight-up woman hater skates while Serena goes to jail, I'll be very pissed.
