  1. I love Genie Francis. She’s the only reason I’m watching this crap. Does anyone know when she’s leaving and how long she’ll be gone? How can Liz possibly be redeemed at this point? Even if Jake were somehow not Jason (which I’d wish for if TIIC had not so stupidly killed off AJ and all of Monica’s other kids weren’t also dead), she still did all this horrible shit. Nikolas is also pretty far gone. At least Liz has a reason for doing what she’s doing, even if it is crazy and evil, but Nik has no excuse. It sucks that Ron C. was allowed to run roughshod over these characters for so long. He should have been fired well over a year ago. The new writers really have their work cut out for them. Hopefully Ava won’t be the killer since that would mean the end of Maura West’s run. It should be Nina. Then her and Franco go on the run, never to be seen or heard from again. Or they can drive off a cliff into the sea. Or die in a hail of bullets Bonnie and Clyde style. I really don’t care, as long as they get off my screen.
  2. I like Hope and Aiden so much. KA and DG are so great together. This is one of those cases where it really hurts this soap to be shooting so far in advance. They have no idea who the audience has formed an attachment to, and vice versa. That stupid hillbilly is the other side of the coin. He's been on for several months too long and I can not wait for him to leave. Wonder if JR knew his character's stay in Salem would mean not so much story for him but a goodly amount of Abigail propping. So GV was vocal about not liking his story with Nicole and Serena? I don't read much soap press except for what's posted here, so I'm curious about what made him unhappy. Is he not upset that his character is a pissy, boring little puritan? She's terrible. Making stupid faces, holding herself like she has a stomach ache, and breathing like she's working her way through a contraction are such wrong and bizarre choices. And the woman can't cry! Why is this person a lead character on the show, especially when Days has actual, talented actors who are relegated to the background or worse, put on Abigail propping duty! It's mind boggling and a bit infuriating. If it has this effect on me, I can't imagine how demoralizing it has to be for the actors. It's no wonder James Scott left. Knowing he was going to be paired with her, after already being unhappy playing the same stories over and over again, had to have sealed the deal.
  3. Michelle Stafford's contract is almost up, right? Please. Someone say right.
  4. Count me as another surprised viewer that Dr. Tan didn't drag Nicole over the coals again. Surely he will be back to his old self tomorrow. I didn't think it was possible for GW to look any more elfin, but I was wrong. Poor Billy Flynn. He's desperately trying, but KM is an asexual chemistry void who makes bizarre acting choices. I will never understand why Days thought she could or should be a leading figure. And when she's not on, most of the other characters are talking about her. I really resent this Sonny Corinthos-level of character propping and pushing.
  5. Petunia13, that is exactly what I liked about Aly. She had a fluctuating level of crazy, but she was also sweet, vulnerable, and funny, and until recently she wasn't murderous like Quin. B&B really screwed up by killing her off. I've also checked out but will come back here from time to time to see what's going on.
  6. Is Stavros Cassadine dead, or as dead as one gets on GH? I don't remember all of the Crichton Clark nonsense, and in fact may have not even watched the end of it because it was so bad.
  7. Thanks, worleybird! He's been in a lot of stuff! But, I probably didn't watch or wouldn't remember any of his appearances. Guess he's a variant of That Guy.
  8. Dan is a fucking idiot. Nicole didn't tell him the truth right away because she knew what his reaction would be, based on many past experiences. How can this guy possibly be a brilliant surgeon, when he doesn't even possess the most basic reasoning skills? Free Nicole, please. Hope and Aiden dancing was pretty cool. I didn't even pay attention to Will and Abigail (who should both just explode into a ball of hot air), or Brady and Teresa (one of the most stupid stories I've seen in awhile).
  9. Lastwaltz, I agree that the priest resembles Dobbs but I can't place him either. Next time he's on I'll try to catch the credits, unless someone has a better way to track down his name.
  10. Sorry to hear about your fur baby, tvgoddess. :-(
  11. That was an excellent episode. I think my absolute favorite is "If a Body Meet a Body, " with Stu the blueberry grower, who tells his girlfriend Christie that her investor father is a fascist. But "If it's Thursday, it Must be Beverly," "Keep the Home Fries Burning," and "Mr. Penroy's Vacation" are up there, too. Oh, and "Murder Takes the Bus." And of course, Grady and Donna's wedding. This show premiered when I was a freshman in high school. I loved it from the beginning but never told my boyfriend at the time or friends that I watched. Can't believe how long ago that was. Damn.
  12. I don't know what is more ridiculous. That Tony Geary wanted to be the next Burt Reynolds, or that JG thinks that Tony Geary wanted to be the next Burt Reynolds. Both notions are making me laugh.
  13. e) and to erase most all traces of Rick and Maya's cruel assholery, by getting rid of the girl who was the object of their contempt and ridicule. They really are a stupid bunch. A dramatic change in appearance is the most easily recognizable indicator that someone has gone off the rails. Even if they didn't know that, though, Aly gave plenty of verbal evidence that she was obsessing and fixating on Steffy, Rick, and Maya. None of them were concerned enough about it to get her some counseling, but instead thought it enough to chastise her for not liking cleavage and "California freedom."
  14. I've had quite enough of the Abigail show. The new writers better have fixed this. 90% of the show should never revolve around one character, especially one as boring and obnoxious as Abby. Also, I despise Daniel and am tired of Nicole always having to grovel at his orange feet.
  15. I'm still disappointed that they let Daniel Cosgrove go, and that his character is going to be trashed in the process. If they didn't want him with Hope, then there are other women he could have been paired with (Nicole, Eve, Kate). That they kept Rob Wilson/Ben just rubs salt in the wound. I can't even understand what he's saying half the time. Has there been any update on Shawn Christian's status with the show?
  16. Michelle Stafford and RoHo have GOT to go. Immediately. Followed very quickly by Kiki, Magda, and Dr. O. Nathan is harmless, and the guy who plays him seems like a real sweetheart, but I don't care whether he stays or goes. I hope there is a way to save Maura West from this mess, because I love her and think she could be part of a great female core of characters (along with Genie Francis, Finola Hughes, Vinessa Antoine, Jane Elliot, Becky Herbst, Nancy Lee Grahn, Kelly Monaco, Haley Pullos, Kirsten Storms, and Kristina Wagner). But leaving her as Denise, especially having her being Nina's "friend" after Nina drugged her, terrorized her, and ripped her baby out of her is just .... so fucking disturbing and wrong.
  17. I agree it would be a great way to stick it to TG, but then think an even better revenge would be for Genie to be given a nice, fat contract. A strong, independent Laura could move back to Port Charles, reconnect with her kids and grandkids, and have great adventures with amazing friends. (For starters, she could be part of the team that finally rescues Robin.) After some time kicking ass and being awesome, she would come to be known simply as Laura, and not the Laura half of Luke-and-Laura, which is something TG's Luke was never able to accomplish. She doesn't need that wrinkled up, whorehouse loving, alcoholic crybaby. She was on GH before him and should be around after him. I've always liked Laura more than Luke and part of what chased me away from GH during the Guza years was the shitty way GF and Laura were treated. I want so badly for her to come back and given something interesting to do, freed forever of Lucas fucking Spencer. NOOOOOOOO! As a Days watcher, I don't want Ron C. anywhere near this soap.
  18. Alison Sweeney should have told Ken Corday to fuck off and not come back, then. Sami should never have to think about that stupid woman again, much less have her return to town revolve around her.
  19. Did Tony mandate that there be no flashbacks at all, to completely avoid the wedding scenes? Or did someone else make that terrible decision? Whatever, I'm just glad he's finally gone and that there are some new writers.
  20. It is moving along quickly. Surely Ivy is next to be ruined, Thorne and Oliver will go back to having no screen time, and Pam and Charlie won't have anyone else to hang out with/be goofy over. I hate that so many people are going to be negatively affected just so the puffer fish can have some angst and the two assholes can have their slate cleared of the people they treated so poorly.
  21. I vote for the stick. Awesome recap, as always, Shadowsixx.
  22. Yes, exactly. Where were Eric and Brooke? Did they retire to the guest house after gushing about the wonderful job no-neck did on the runway? Perhaps if Eric had been a better grandfather, and Brooke a better aunt, Aly wouldn't have been bullied by those two assholes who made her give up her room for that idiot Nicole, and would have gotten her help for her clearly growing rage problem. But then, these are the same two people who waved off Rick's shooting up the office as nothing more than his blowing off some steam. Morons! I think that's it. She's difficult to look at, just as Hunter Tylo is difficult to look at, and all those reality show women who all end up looking like one another in that bizarre, pod person way are difficult to look at, without feeling sorry for her. That doesn't stop me from wanting her off the show because of her terrible acting, though!
  23. At least this means ABC is interested in keeping the show on the air. I was worried that the months of shitty ratings meant they'd just can the whole damn thing. Hopefully the new writers will return the characters back to something recognizable, instead of the interchangeable cardboard cutouts Ron C. turned them in. And also that they will be more receptive to what the audience would and wouldn't like to see, instead of twitter tantrum babies who think that anyone who doesn't agree with their vision is a hater. I'm very happy that there is still life for GH, and wonder how the actors feel about the coming change. If what Tony Geary said was true about Ron trying to manage their every move and line reading, I'd bet there are some happy actors on set.
  24. So, not only did B&B make the stupid decision to kill the most interesting of the next generation of Forresters, and the only child of Thorne, they couldn't even give her death a stand alone episode? They had to include scenes of that idiot Nicole doing some of her trademarked terrible dancing? Poor Zende. He deserves better than a gold-digging, blackmailing jerk for a love interest. Whatever. I'm back out anyway. I just can't with JWM. She's horrible.
