If Ava were going to be written out, this is definitely the way I'd want her to end. To go down fighting rather than sobbing over some idiot man-child, and to finally rid Port Charles of Sonny once and for all.

I think she's on leave of absence right now, TeeVee329. Agree about Rafe and the inherited serial killer story. I can't imagine how it would have went under the old writers. They probably would have made Nicole or Teresa the killer. Also, I don't get the sense that Will is going to be a murder victim, but maybe that's because someone posted not too long ago that Guy Wilson was still filming. So unless these writers have borrowed Ron Carliavati's overused kill-a-character-but-keep-him/her-around-as-a-ghost trope? Dunno. I wouldn't mind Will being in a coma, though, so long as the character wakes up as a different actor.

Yep, that's definitely Genie! Here's another link: http://rememberdays.fanspace.com/patchkaywed3.htm If GH will not sign her to a big, fat contract which gives her the same sort of control over story that TG had, then I won't know what to say. Well, I will, but it won't be nice and will involve a lot of curse words.

Friday, the lowest rated day, was entirely about Sonny, Carly, Nina, and Franco. And next week is going to be more of the same. Of course Nina and Franco need to be eviscerated, like now, but the Corinthii bunch are played out, too. They never change and they never lose. Plus, I don't give a shit about Sonny or Carly and have no interest in watching those vipers wring their hands over their dumbass son. Frank Valenti is wrong. I have stopped watching, and only tune in occasionally in the hope that something - anything - will be better than the last time I watched. It never is, so I end up turning the channel. He should have been fired right along with Ron C., and both of them should have been canned months ago. ETA: I'm a long term GH fan (since 1978), and I'll accept Ava. I also loved (Sean Kanan's) AJ and am still bitter over Ron C. and FV completely fucking up SK's return. But, if they turned Ava into another smug asshole like Carly and had her win all the damn time, then I wouldn't accept her at all.

Spoilers and Speculation: Clink Boom and Cheese Fondue
Kitty Redstone replied to BestestAuntEver's topic in General Hospital
She could just go back to being in a coma. That way she can't flail around repeating her lines and making stupid faces. While she lays in the hospital, in the background, other stories could be going on around her until her contract runs out or she's fired. If RoHo can't be fired, I co-sign the idea of him as a murder victim turned snarky ghost. I'd also love to see Scotty and Ric as sleazy law firm partners who sabotage either other. -

I'm pretty sure she screwed Ben the day after she spent the night screwing Chad, so that's the exact outcome I'm expecting. It'll be riveting tv, I'm sure. -

I don't understand why anyone - ever - would want to have sex with Abigail. She does not have one single redeeming quality, and also? She's weird looking. But then, Ben is no prize, either. One minute he seems repelled by her, and then the next he's doing all he can to possess her through mannequin sex. It's just bizarre and sick, the whole damn situation. -

It makes no sense to destroy Aiden. I hate what they're doing to him. Ben and Abigail are just gross. I had to turn the channel. Billy Flynn has had chemistry with every single person he's shared scenes with except for Kate Mansi. So of course Chad is stuck pining for that vapid, useless, gaslighting cheater. I have to hope that once the vets and other new characters hit the screen she will be 1) sent to the backburner and 2) dispatched by the next serial killer. -
Of course today is the day I picked to have this crappy show on in the background. Ava is merely an incubator? Fuck you, you piece of shit. Why again is Sonny the centerpiece of this show? Not only is he a violent murdering mobster, he's a horrible misogynist. Actually one of the worst of that type of character I can remember - ever - in daytime. I have no hope for this show.

Chad and Serena are hot together. Yet another wasted opportunity. -

You're not alone! I'll join you at the Xander is creepy table. Partly it's a testament to Paul Telfer's suberb acting skills, because he plays Xander as an all too real misogynist, but also because body builder types are not my type, either. PT sounds like a lovely man, though -

Serena's dress is one of the ugliest pieces of clothing I've seen in awhile. Yes, if Stefano is going to be reduced to propping that vapid twit Abigail, he needs to go. What a waste of a once interesting character. Man, KM even has weird looking ears. ETA: AZ is so very good. Days is very lucky to still have her after the crap stories she's had the past two years. -
That would actually be awesome, because it would mean his days are numbered. I hate Ben, btw.

I'd love to write a "Who Killed Sonny" storyline. He'd get a Carolyn Graham-style end. Fans of her books and the Midsomer Murders television show will know that means his murder will be befittingly gruesome. Seriously, though, I wonder if Sonny's murder would bring back lapsed viewers who gave up on the show during the Sonny-Carly-Jason era and never came back.
-
Quite true. Maybe there could be a dark Morgan, not unlike dark Luke, who is smarter than dim Morgan. But really, I don't care whether he's the killer or the victim so long as he goes along with all the others. Magda, and even Valerie, would make excellent killers.
-
Totally agree. They need a serial killer to get rid of the serial killer, plus a bunch of other characters. I'd vote for Nina, Kiki, Dr. O, Magda, Sabrina, Olivia, Valerie, Rosalie, Hayden, Jason, and Sonny. Morgan could be the killer.

I watched the entire show today, as as experiment in how much horrible tv I could sit through. The whole fucking show was about Nina and Sonny. Never again. So do I. It really has not been the same since MB came on. It's quite depressing. I was watching on old Hart to Hart episode the other day (from 82 or 83), and in it Jennifer won a contest for a walk on spot on a soap. It's always interesting to see primetime shows from that era use a daytime soap as a basis for that week's plot. Pretty sad that a genre that used to be that popular is now down to four, and that the one that used to be the best is dominated by repulsive characters like Nina and Sonny.
-
Yep. Billy Miller seems like a nice guy, but I have zero interest in Jason.

Candice and Ashley are a breath of fresh air. Talented, kind, gracious, and strong. I love both of them. Their winning outfit tonight was not my favorite at all, though. Swapnil and Laurie's was so stylish and pretty, and I'm really liking the two of them as well. Kelly, too. Joseph can fuck right off. And when he's done, he can go fuck off some more. That was some bullshit he pulled on Merline. Perhaps if he weren't a white man and she weren't a black woman, it wouldn't have been quite so uncomfortable to watch. But it was, and that douche needs to do some serious soul searching on how he treats his peers. I can't wait for him to leave. Also can't wait for that other douche, Jack, to get auffed. I totally agree with slothgirl's reading of him. He was a passive aggressive little ass, and a creepy one at that.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand why this show sucks. Absolutely everything is bad, and the only thing that could make Nina, Franco, and Dr. O solving a murder even worse than it already is would be if Spencer joined in to help. It also doesn't take much to figure out that more Sonny and Carly isn't the way to get this show's ratings out of the toilet, as those two (along with Jason) are the reason the ratings were so low three years ago. Or that the ratings were already in a free fall when Tony Geary FINALLY got off the stage. Or that ratings go up when there are stories featuring the Scorpios. What the fuck is wrong with the people responsible for this show?

I haven't been watching lately, but did happen to catch today's show. As for Ivy and Wyatt? Me likey. They really are very good together, especially when they're snarking on douchey Liam and making that plastic-infused cousin-killer miserable. As long as they're just giving Ivy an edge, rather than throwing her under the bus, then I approve and may tune in more often.
-
Totally agree. It was a really stupid move to write out Daniel Cosgrove. He had great chemistry with AZ, and I'd much rather see Nicole with Aiden than Dr. Tan. Plus, it'd have been fun to see how Nicole would interact as a sort of step mom to a teen son.

Murder, She Wrote - General Discussion
Kitty Redstone replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Murder, She Wrote
Hello my fellow Days poster and Abigail- and Will-hater! My favorite one of these moments is in "Crossed Up," where Jessica is homebound and Grady comes to help. Seth stops by and asks her if she needs anything, as Grady is taking away a tray of food. She says yes, please, something to eat! She swore that Grady had bought up every single can of tuna fish in Cabot Cove and she couldn't bear to eat another bite. The way she said it, and in context with Grady taking out the tray, was so funny. There was also the one with Grady working at an accounting firm where a "ghost" (really a homeless man) lived in the secret passages in the building. As Jessica is being threatened by the killer (a guy from Soap), she says that Grady will be right back from walking the pretty secretary to the subway or something. He basically snorts and says, yeah right, Grady will really be hurrying back to work instead of trying to score a date with the secretary. The first few seasons had so much more humor than the later ones. It was especially lacking in the last two or three seasons. That's the one, with the incomparable Kate Mulgrew, my favorite Star Trek captain. -
Splashing in the shallow end with you! I think they're both fugly, and it's not something I'm picky about either. I also miss AS and JS, and also not necessarily as a couple. I preferred him with Nicole and her with Lucas.
