Sometimes I wonder why they don't just have the same ten or twelve people play everyone. So much of what makes these people unique as General Hospital characters has been stripped away to serve whatever idiotic plot (point) Ron has come up with anyway, why not their looks, too? They could just have an announcment that for this round of block taping, Kelly Monaco will be playing the part of Rosalie, Maurice Bernard will be playing the part of Morgan, Tony Geary will be playing the part of Bill Eckert/Mitch Lawrence/whomever/who cares, and so on. No doubt if that cheap-ass Frank Valentini thought he could get by with it, he would.

Wait, so the creepy guy in the square is the new contract player? If so, he's not nearly as good looking as the photos made him out to be. That squiggly vein along his temple was fucking weird. Hmph. I want Theresa and Rafe. ETA: Ditto on the catfights being one too many.

Why is it not a red flag for the brides who won't get a dress they love because they're worried about their fiancee's reaction? I'm watching the episode with the bride who is eloping to Colorado and who's fiancee is "opinionated" (which is often a euphemism for controlling), but she is not the first bride who has acted this way. The young woman who was marrying someone with the last name Chicken or Turkey or some other foul comes to mind. Wanting your groom to think you are beautiful is fine; picking what the groom wants so you don't have to listen to him complain or worse, get bullied over making a choice without him, is not. It's disheartening to see this dynamic on what should be a happy show.

Clyde owns a trucking company. I'm not sure if his little hayseeds know he also runs drugs. Theresa and Ann's friendship is just perfect. It's one of my favorite things about this show. Also, Theresa and Rafe are verrrrrry pretty together and he's definitely a step up from Brady. Molly Burnett's child-like mannerisms make if very difficult to see her as a sexual being. Why aren't they directing her to act like a like a grown-ass woman?

Thank the moon and the stars for that announcement. This show doesn't need a new Hope, especially as played by Kristen Alderson. I'm haven't missed Hope, Wyatt, or Quin one little bit and don't want any of them to ever come back. I read and watch a lot of true crime, so maybe that colors my view of Quin as a profoundly disturbed and disturbing character. She can never be entertaining for me. Wyatt is a slightly less creepy character but his sole focus on Hope and the manipulations and machinations that involved were so over the top and obsessive. His mere presence in a scene made it tedius to watch. Also, and this is shallow, but I think Darren Brooks is unattractive. As for Hope, everyone already knows why she sucks. I do miss Deacon, though. Hopefully they'll bring someone on for him and won't just stick him with Brooke (or worse, cut SK loose). It's strange, but I'm not minding Caroline and TK's Ridge at all. Not sure I'd be saying that if Rick hadn't have turned into a complete and utter asshole, but there it is.

Nikolas should be playing a long con, because nothing else explains his sudden turnabout. Not that most of the stuff that happens on this show ever gets adequately explained, like Lucy stealing a ballot box, etc., it's just that Nik suddenly turning evil literally came out of nowhere. It will probably be something stupid involving Pickle Lila or the patent to the weather machine.

That could be a good story for Chase and Aiden, boes. I think that little kid could play it, too, and Daniel Cosgrove would absolutely be able to do it. Dunno why, but I'm really diggin' Rafe as a bar keep and Friend of Victor. The character needed something to make him more interesting and this is doing it so far. Rafe is so much better for me when he's jaded and bitter. As always, Abigail and Ben can DIAF. I was disappointed to read that the actors who play Ben and his hillbilly pa are still taping. I was hoping that Jordan's exit story would be her killing Clyde, Clyde's troglodyte, and Ben. And, as sort of an afterthought and with a shrug of her shoulders, she'd get rid of Abigail, too.

I forgot how large and detailed that set was. Now almost everything is small, dreary, and cheap looking. I really miss what GH used to be.

I thought about doing this myself, but Ron will retcon everything one or two more times anyway, so why bother?

That could be, bantering. I guess she hasn't told anyone about it, has she? I remember flashbacks of her confronting Clyde when she was wearing that horrible checkered and lace shirt ... but was that the last time it was explicitly brought up? She's said numerous times that he ruined her life but has no one put two and two together? Of course Ben and Abigail wouldn't because they're idiots, but Rafe is slightly smarter. And Kate should definitely be suspicious, especially after eaveslurking on them a few weeks ago . . .

Kate looks so small and petty in her vendetta against Jordan. I don't understand why Jordan doesn't drop the 'hey, you're sleeping with a pedophile' bomb on her, but I guess the writers are waiting for sweeps for that bit of info to come to light? Whatever. In any event, Clyde needs to die. Ben and Abigail looked extra stupid with the faces they were making at the hospital. I mean the kind of stupid where you have to rewind and laugh because it's so stupid. The boy who plays Chase is a good actor and such a cute little guy. I'd like to see him and Ciara in a bigger yet child-appropriate story (i.e., nothing like the ones the kids on GH are written into). Poor JJ. He's surrounded by horrible women. And then there's Paige. Her pleading and screeching today was pathetic and disturbing. Have some damn pride, girl.

While I enjoy seeing the vets, and would rather watch them any day over Franco, Nina, Olbrecht, et al, this story told via flashbacks is fucking ridiculous and lazy. So, so lazy. On a happier note, LH looked great in that black and white dress and silver necklace.

I can't even imagine what Ron would have that poor little boy sing.

That was really adorable. But it makes me sad given what Ron has done to Robin, Patrick, and Coleman. Anyway, it was nice to see a three-plus minute scene, no one mugging for the camera, and everyone having fun! Well everyone except for Spinelli, apparently, who looked especially ugly with that haircut. Yikes.

I love Kassie de Paiva but she needs to stop it. Right now. Kate Mansi and Robert Scott Wilson are bad enough, but you add KA to the mix and it would be one troll too many.

I'm still fervently wishing for this to be Michelle Stafford. Oh damn, hopefully not. I really like Days and there are more than enough crap actors on there already.

Yay! Kiki is an utterly useless character portrayed by a limited actor. And speaking of useless characters and limited actors, can Michelle Stafford please be the next one out the door. Please please please?

They would have to do quite a bit of rewriting to make them interesting. I've read some of these books and it is one of the only mystery series I've started and not finished. The characters are ridiculously, laughably old-fashioned, often unlikable, and paper thin. The town's police department is even more stupid than the Salem PD. And the mysteries themselves are no mystery at all. Yes, I'm a little bitter that I wasted time reading these dumb books The lovely Allison Sweeney may be able to something with the charmless Hannah Swensen, but Cameron Matheson will only bring her down.

Will used to be played by Chandler Massey, who could be very sweet and earnest but also shady and complicated. He was like Jen Lilley in that he could show a lot of emotion and the thoughts going on in his head through his facial expressions alone. He was pretty great opposite James Scott and Lauren Koslow, and even Dee Hall. But as others have said, by the end of his run CM phoned it in and basically smirked his way through his scenes. He was still a superior actor and totally believable as the son of Sami and Lucas. GW is none of these things.

AZ is so, so good. She makes Nicole's nutty, desperate actions understandable and oftentimes even rootable. I really wish they would let her win every once in a while. And would it kill them to give the woman a friend or two and get her away from the terribly boring Eric? Hopefully today was a step in at least one of those directions. I actually don't mind her with Dr. Tan, since he's not going anywhere and she's the only person who has ever made him tolerable for me. GV is capable of more than playing this blank of a character. Please, writers, give Eric more to his personality than earnest goody-two shoes/sexually-repressed hater. Count me in as interested in a Rafe/Theresa pairing, especially if she brings out his snarky side. I like smart-ass Rafe. Plus, it might put Theresa in Kate's crosshairs. Theresa and Kate as frenemies could be damn good. I don't even see a physical reason for his interest in her, really. She's homely.

Oh I totally agree about not wanting VM back. During her heyday I felt like the only person on the planet that didn't like her. And, as you say, she becomes worse with every return. I'd much rather have Genie back - and would have so preferred her to Tony Geary all these years - but I just have a hard time picturing her as a diva with unrealistic demands that the blind item describes. But, hey, if it is, good for her. This show has screwed her over so many times, she earned the right to be a hard ass.

Hopefully the first item is about Michelle Stafford. I want her gone and her character completely forgotten. She should have never been brought on this show. As for the second item, it sounds more like Vanessa Marcil than Genie Francis. I could understand either one demanding input wrt story/love interests and insisting on stipulations, given how they've both been screwed over in the past, but I wouldn't characterize GF as a diva with the implied over-inflated sense of herself. So I think it's VM.

Really, why isn't Carly struck by lightening bolts every time she harps on someone else's crimes/sins/failings while completely ignoring her own, or when she lies and rewrites history, or hell, when she breaths the same air as people who actually have self-awareness. Bitch, please. Sam was not jealous of you, you were and still are jealous of her. And the sanctification of Jason continues while women inexplicably fight over him. He needs to re-die. Like now. Ric and Liz were cute (and Anna slowly backing away was funny) so I'm sure it won't last. Julian and Olivia are are smokin' together.
