  1. It looks like she was able to take advantage of a Trump-era program that reduces sentences for "good conduct". I guess this program might be a pipeline for former Bravo stars...
  2. I thought you didn't get time off in Federal prison and you had to serve at least 85% of your time? How is she out in 2 years?
  3. Only way to be discrete would be a face-to-face conversation where no one would know the content of what was said. If it was a phone call that would be subject to FOIA, and records of who visits inmates are also generally available, so knowing that a person who is either generally a private investigator or someone actually employed by Bo Dietl's company could be discovered if someone wanted to work hard enough to confirm.
  4. I dated someone who did not like to have sex immediately after a large meal. They said it was uncomfortable and distracting. The same person didn't like having sex with the lights on or during the day unless the room was dark, so yeah, this is a thing for some folks. (And no, I've never dated Simon🙂)
  5. I don't know why you would stand up and lie. She has a completely different face 😲 And personally, I think that she jacked her face up.
  6. I agree with all your side eye at Silas. Having said that I think Jasmine has him well in hand. First, she shut down the "how many women were you dancing with discussion" with a quick "Hold up, I don't care". Then when he came clean about the drink, she pointed out "You could have been drugged", which is exactly what men tell women. Silas tried to scoff then quickly shut the hell up when he realized she was right. At its core, I don't think Jasmine cares because she trusts Silas. I think Silas does care because he isn't 100% sure he can trust Jasmine. He needs to deal with his jealousy and insecurity, because Jasmine is completely secure that he's coming home to her every night. If he starts to make a big deal about her behavior, its going to drive her away.
  7. The comment off camera (but picked up on a mike) was that everyone was paying attention to the HWs and no one was paying attention to the event/activities they were there to support.
  8. I don't know. I thought that I read that the owner of the Summer House location was originally appalled by the way the cast and production treated the articles in the house and in subsequent years, the person actually rented a lot of the furnishings so that damages would be fully covered by production.
  9. But the reality is that if a man showed up who made as much or more than Kandi (think Jermaine Dupree), Mama Joyce would be talking about how Kandi needs to make sure that man never leaves her. And she would absolutely have been living in their house and demanding that she get more/be treated better than his own mama. The fact of the matter is that Joyce has always been about Joyce when it came to Kandi's relationships. She doesn't care about how her actions impact those children. As for the tone of the season - it seems all of the franchises are suffering from the same thing. No one wants to watch the sniping and mean comments when they aren't attached to real drama. No one I know watched Vanderpump Rules, but when that dude with the ugly mustache cheated on his wife/girlfriend folks tuned in - in droves. Everyone knows that the Marlo/Kenya drama is made up by them to assure that they show up in the trailer for the episode and continue to justify their existence to production. Because it's not real or organic, it comes across as what it is, juvenile arguments where everyone is in the wrong.
  10. According to the article posted above, all three have now recanted their stories.
  11. Yes, I peeped that he showed up with a tequila bottle and clearly had been hitting it on his way in. Interesting that everyone seems to have flown on island. The ferry is actually how most people get there, but I guess it's not bling-y enough. My take is that Nick, despite repping his frat hard - is dating someone who is not black which is why it is a secret. Many owners in MV will only allow pets for an extra fee. And even out of town owners have local relators, handymen, cleaners, etc. who definitely would dime someone out for bringing a pet without getting prior approval. I don't know how long Bria has had this dog, but she doesn't roll like someone who has gotten those kind of concessions in the past. I too am surprised that the group of people that are part of the "MV black excellence traditions" crew are all folks who discovered MV as adults and not the people who have been summering on the Vineyard their entire lives.
  12. There are a whole lot of people in the low country living high off the hog on that money including the Lafiettes, the Flemings, the Parkers, Dick and Jim and many others that benefitted directly or indirectly from this scheme. I wouldn't be surprised if the probate judge and some other attorneys were also getting payoffs, etc. And guess what - you are going to have to literally drag their belongings out of their homes because not a one of those families is going to give up their ill-gotten gains.
  13. Thomas was almost 50 when he and Katherine got together. There is no growing up, just growing old. His relationship with Ashley and the mother of his other child reflect that he hasn't wised up, he's just continued to do what he was doing with no thought to consequences. My guess is that his kids will be raised with the same lack of consequences and the same reverence for their family name that allowed their dad to believe he could sell drugs while serving as the Treasurer for the state and get away with it. Whether or not Katherine gets sober, those kids are more likely to be on a trajectory similar to Paul Murdaugh based on the culture of wealthy families in SC.
  14. There was something weird about that edit. They showed her walking in, and the outfit looked like shorts with patterned stockings, but then they showed a shot from the knees down that showed what looked like black leggings and black boots when a chunky heel. When they cut back to Kandi walking into the office with Don Juan, you can clearly see she's in a stiletto heel. It was an unfortunate outfit, but the editing made it seem like they were black pants with some crazy garter-like sheer panels, when she may actually have been in shorts with stockings (not that it make the outfit much better, but still...)
  15. Not only did it go quiet, but I had to do a Where's Waldo search to find it. It's like there's some C-O-N-SPIRACY to keep this conversation buried. I came to see if anyone was talking about the Summer House: Martha's Vineyard debacle...it's almost like someone said "can we do a black version of Summer House, but with tons less sex and tons more virtue signaling?"
  16. Todd made creative, single-entity, service provider money. So, someone who could afford to support their own lifestyle, and then had to pay for things salaried hired staff normally get directly from their employer (life insurance, health insurance, etc.). I think he's probably been able to make low six figures ($100k) annually but wasn't blowing the doors off the roof or making anywhere near Kandi annual revenue. As to whether or not he's making money off of Kandi restaurant group here is my guess... The OLG/Blaze places turn a profit (ie. upon opening, they bring in more money than they cost on a weekly basis). This has to do with name recognition, Kandi's fanbase, the community they service, etc. In my experience many restaurants have this kind of bliss period when they first open where they are well received, have lots of people coming through and spending money and the poor management and lack of food service/business awareness just hasn't caught up to them yet. It's the same thing with Peter Thomas' Bar One businesses. They make a lot of money in the first 12-24 months and then if there isn't someone who is minding the store they tank. In the meantime, if the owner knows what they are doing it is possible that the business may be... PROFITABLE to them (ie. the owner is able to get their original investment out). There are folks who just invest in restaurants who do this. They put in seed money and provide support, and they are also the first money out (they get repaid starting from day one). It's not clear to me that OLG is profitable, but certain things point to this being the case including their opening multiple concepts that have capitalized on the good word of mouth. I don't know if these restaurants as a whole have allowed Todd/Kandi to recoup their original investments, but I will say that Kandi has a great business team including attorneys, accountants, etc. and for all people talk about Don Juan being messy, he is neat and on point when it comes to Kandi's coins. OLG has certainly been helped by the free HW advertising and the fact that they have gotten some industry recognition (OpenTable 2018 Diners’ Choice Award and Taste of Soul Atlanta 25 Best Soul Food Restaurants). One other thing that bodes well is that they were able to pivot during the pandemic and survived during a time when many restaurants on the margins failed. At the same time, they have had issues passing inspection which may meant that they will start to undergo the Peter Thomas death spiral. If that happens expect one or more of these to close within 3-5 years of opening their doors.
  17. That's not how it works in New Jersey So, she would have to file, but the mother could also file and the court could give the mother custody. Guarantee that if the father leaves that boy any money directly from life insurance or anything else, mom is certainly going to petition. Granted, since he's 16 the odds are getting smaller that she would have control over him, but you can never tell.
  18. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Sheree came out of the ghetto in Cleveland. She has physically moved out of those circumstances, but she still thinks and operates when it comes to men like she's 15. She picks dudes that will give her street credibility with her HS girlfriends and not dudes who are ACTUALLY doing things. My guess is that she realized that hanging with that sort of man would mean she might have to step up her own game beyond a pretty face and a slamming body. Sheree isn't going to be showing up at a National Medical Association event on the arm of some doctor or at the National Bar Association gala dinner with some high-powered attorney because she isn't going to be embarrassed by not being able to carry on a conversation. She wants to be in crew where the conversation doesn't get any deeper than designer labels, who is sleeping with whom, whose man ain't shit, etc. Also, she talks about Kandi, but she should actually listen to Kandi because: The ladies clowned Kandi for liking to eat That resulted in Marlo bringing her the Jamaican KFC in order to make up Kandi goes on the reunion and admits she doesn't like Marlo much, but will make up with her for KFC Fast forward a year later and she and her son are in a national commercial for KFC based on her love for it. Ace now has a SAG card as a result and has just upped all his future earning potential Kandi gets it, Sheree just wants to floss like she's got it.
  19. I was all over this until I realized that she had Sanya working out in her fitness room in bare feet. No, no Miss Lady. That is officially too much! Sanya doesn't have an accent. She was raised in the US by Jamaican parents who both have accents. Therefore, she can (and does) affect an accent when she wants to.
  20. If all of this has occurred in just the last five years, I'm not surprised that the court agreed to no contact. I'm also calling bullshit on the mother's version of this story. The following items seem to raise a lot of additional questions: So, she hasn't had any parental rights since this kid was 3. It's difficult to believe that the mom is pushing that she has somehow been wronged in all of this. I wonder if she also gave up her parental rights to that child?
  21. Originally, I thought the same way, but it appears that the mom disappeared and hasn't been in the kid's life in a long time. I presumed from the way it was discussed early on that she was in the neighborhood or that the families continued to have some contact. However, it sounded in the attorney's office like they have no idea whether she is alive or dead. I've got less concerns about how a woman who is aware they have a child and takes zero effort to reach out to that child or his father feels. The story about blending families and what it means to be a "parent" is an important one that deserves to be discussed as long as its not exploited.
  22. Unpopular opinion here, but I really didn't have any issue with Melissa taking up for her daughter's lack of attendance at the Sweet 16. She had a cheer competition the same day out of state which she committed to attending. Why does that become "she chose to not come to her cousin's sweet 16"? Teens often have those kinds of conflicts and at least in my family, a prior commitment was just that - a commitment. For all we know the daughter really wanted to be there and was disappointed that she couldn't attend. In any event, Melissa is right to want to keep her daughter's motivations and feelings off-camera and not subject to the speculation by a ton of random adults on the Internet. I don't think encouraging kids to live out their lives as entertainment for others is the healthiest thing. Let those girls resolve their stuff among themselves, especially as teen feelings are known to be fleeting when it comes to who is mad at whom for what.
  23. I finally started watching this. A few mind-blowing revelations: It looks like the settlement that Alliah's family entered into resulted in their getting ownership of his publishing rights for his first three albums. That explains why the family has been silent for all these years. It was really interesting watching the commentary between the woman and her friend when she claimed that "Robert isn't a bad person, he just does bad things. I wish he would get the help he needs". There are clearly people who are continuing to benefit from this including those members of his inner circle that have managed to stay out of jail, and the attorney who has clearly been making bank representing R.
  24. Both of them are showing glimpses of their middle-aged mom faces, and it ain't pretty. Micah should have stayed away from the lip fillers. And Irina needs to lay-off the alcohol as she always looks a bit bloated and like she's masking a huge hangover. As young as these women are, they should still appear fresh faced and dewy and neither of them do.
  25. They knew Randolph. He was the attorney representing Steven's father in a worker's comp case. The family was suspicious because Randolph called the father from the scene and offered to represent the family for free in a civil lawsuit. After the fact, the family didn't understand 1) why Randolph was at the scene; and 2) why he believed that there was a basis for a civil case. The families were not friends, and other than the worker's comp case they didn't interact or have any direct involvement. Sandy Smith (Stephen's mom) and the sister both said that the family would not have reached out to Randolph to represent them, if they had decided to sue someone. So, from Randolph's side, he's got this story "They were my client in this other matter which is why I was representing them", but the family never understood why he volunteered or what he was doing at the accident scene. After everything played out they determined this was something sketchy.
