  1. So that's why he is familiar to me. Another underappreciated actor.
  2. I'm sorry! I'm unsure about spoilering when a season airs on two different channels. I tried to find the link in the threads for the Peacock airing but could not. Here's a spoiler:
  3. Borrowing from the Montana insult "all hat, no cattle," Diana is all fillers, no soul. Kyle is all.....asshole.
  4. Since this season aired earlier on Peacock, there is already info about Ryan's role on the show on the Internet. Anyone who is interested can probably find it.
  5. Also, harmony is a prevailing goal within the Dine community. And they are a matriarchal society. From one of many websites explaining this nation: "A woman controls the hogan, built on land that was set aside for her by her family; she owns the children, which belong to her clan, her sheep, the product of her sheep and other livestock, her jewelry and all blankets she might weave and the income from the sale of any of her property. A husband owns what he has inherited from his own family and all goods which he has bought out of his own earnings which, nowadays, often includes a pick-up truck." The blessing or prayer someone spoke over the Leaphorn's son's site moved me to tears. Very simple, very meaningful.
  6. There are stand-alone episodes in addition to the fentanyl family ones. Last night was a young mother who is a former model. My TV cut off just as the episode was explaining that she had left treatment. Did anyone see the full update?
  7. Do we know that Jen's mother withdrew her retirement? All I saw was them talking about it, with the mother resisting, and Jen seemed to be vaguely threatening her mother. I had the impression Jen was hinting that her mother benefited financially from Jen's misdeeds, and Jen would spill the beans if her mother didn't help her. I agree with others that Coach will be out the door the minute the prison gates slam shut on Jen. I've thought from the beginning that he can't stand her, and perhaps was staying for the younger childrens' sakes. He's a smart guy, so I have wondered what he suspected about Jen's income.
  8. I was referring to how the care is characterized: independent living; assisted living; memory care; and sometimes hospice. Some facilities serve only one, some serve more. Tom is in memory care, according to media. That service is for later phases of dementia.
  9. You know Kyle is obsessing about the negative opinions she has received lately. I bet it's all she can talk about.
  10. You may be right, MsTree. Certainly this gang is the type to try something like this. But it's hard for me to believe that a licensed, regulated, designated memory care facility would accept a patient who does not have the correct diagnosis. An insurance company would object. Nationwide there is a scarcity of memory care beds and waiting lists. Also, I've speculated that Tom has had the diagnosis for a while, or his family/law partners suspected it, and covered for him in order to keep him functioning as the firm's rainmaking figurehead. At least a half-dozen people relied on him to bring in big bucks to pay their salaries and afford them luxuries. Tom was a power broker, at least until the scandal broke.
  11. I saw the movie because some critics wrote that it was better than expected, given Pam's career. It was OK but nuthin' special.
  12. Yeah, Chleb and his mama are angling for a TV or social media career. And I've seen rumors online about Chleb's Miami profession.
  13. I thought Richards was no longer involved in any of the cases. If that's true, he can speak to anyone, yes? I've posted before that I participate in a dementia support group (I am a caretaker for a family member). Many of the caretakers have family members with dementia who are still working. These include a physician, an attorney, and a high-ranking government official. They are in the earlier stages of the disease, and have others helping them do their jobs. Their "work muscle memory" is still strong. During these early to mid-stages of the disease, people can swing between capable and not. (Another of my family members did this until her Alzheimers was advanced.) There are dozens of types of dementia, and some come on very slowly and steadily (Alzheimers) and some come on swiftly, plateau, and then advance again. I'm confused by Tom being in memory care, which is the last phase of the disease except for hospice. I believe he could occasionally call and speak coherently, but rarely. Perhaps that is what Richards experienced. I think when the cases come before a judge, there will be close scrutiny by the court on Tom's diagnosis. Perhaps an independent evaluation sponsored by the court. "
  14. I enjoyed the first two episodes. Well-produced. The actor who plays Larry is a marvel.
  15. There are some lengthy Youtube videos of this ceremony. I think the one I watched is Apache. You may spot some Christianity in some of these ceremonies, as some southwestern Indians were heavily influenced by Catholic missions, and some were not.
  16. And the interior rooms are so dark!
  17. Will this be a jury trial? I bet Jen thinks she can appeal to some of the jurors.
  18. I am genuinely sad at Shruti's death. I was spoiled here at the forum, but I found myself hoping that her developing sense of black humor and the support of the other doctors would help. A week's sleep can do wonders. Decades ago the son of my orthopaedic surgeon was struggling with med school, and his dad gave a little speech about how inhumane and counter productive med school practices are. Guess they haven't changed, especially in certain hospital environments. How many others has this happened to?
  19. I was too lazy to make the switch to streaming, but watched some of the last episodes with family. I lost the excitement a long time ago and now the show is embarrassing. A lot of the actors are great in the ops roles, but terrible "emotional" actors. And several of them don't enunciate their words - they just race through the dialogue. Mush mouths. The stateside family dramas leave me cold. I do think Max Thierot is showing more range. And I think Toni Trucks does a good job. However, I am sick to death of Ray, always sidling up to the others and asking "What's going on?" "What's bothering you?" "Is there something you wanna talk about?" Reminds me of the friend who is addicted to others' drama. Is a younger, fitter actor doing stand-in work for AJ Buckley? During the running and rolling around on the ground? And was Toni Trucks pregnant during production? I searched this forum and did not see any comments.
  20. Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies. My mother kept these on a top shelf and doled them out like treasure.
  21. I think Heather and Meredith are there for the Bravo cameras. I speculated earlier that Bravo will film everything except inside the courtroom. Plenty of opportunities for Jen to play the victim for next season. Heather and Meredith will do anything for camera time and Bravo paychecks.
  22. I subscribed to Showtime, which I avoided for 20 years, just to watch this show. (Not enough great TV has returned post-COVID scariness.) I liked it a lot, especially for the supporting characters who really make the show so enjoyable. My SIL was an avid QVC junkie for years, spending much of her salary on crap. She's a prickly personality without many friends, so I think the show kept her company during motherhood. I'd occasionally watch with her, and I recognize some of these caricatures, especially Perry. QVC does a breast cancer shoe sale, and I noticed how some of the hosts make it all about THEM. Bless their hearts, they just can't help themselves.
