  1. Gold, Jerry, GOLD! I laughed like hell at that.
  2. The Raj bit reminded me of Costanza having sex with the cleaning lady. Glad they didn't go that way, at least for now. Why is Amy resisting Sheldon's seduction? No birth control?
  3. Bill actually looks to be in poor health much of the time. from your lips to dog's ears :)
  4. Granholm was a cheerleader, it still shows. The hell of it is that she's a very capable and engaging speaker when she's not "on".
  5. Ah Teebax...my dad has been remarried twice since my mom died (wives #2 and #3 died as well, long story). The wives both shared names with other members of our family. Talked to dad the other night and he's dating contestant #4, who has the same name as both an aunt of mine AND my mom's best friend! Moral of the story: don't be afraid to recycle those names :) Georjean, though, speaking of names--a Katie Lee-level drony voice. I'm sure she's a lovely lady but my money's on one-hit wonder.
  6. also a HUSTLAH in this day and age, probably Axe body spray.
  7. Hope so too, but I remember that one of the first things Reagan did was to rip out Carter's solar panels (St. Ronnie my rear end). I'm sure Clinton will not touch the garden.
  8. Did not realize that was an Andrea Mitchell interview. The "cookies" quote really ruffled some right wing feathers and I am somewhat convinced is the root of a good deal of the Hillary animosity we see today.
  9. I think they could have done more with this plot but it's still nice to have a new ep finally
  10. It's a radio ad, not TV, but it's someone talking about owing the IRS a ton of money, with some sob story about having to shut down their business...then they hire this lawyer and poof! they only owe a few thousand! Which enrages me...pay your taxes, asshole, so I'm not stuck with the burden. If you owe a ton of taxes you are making >1 ton of money.
  11. Don't know if it's the same recipe but the New York Times did a non-chemical version some months ago. http://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1017937-mississippi-roast I tried it and it was OK, but will probably not do again. The pepperoncini did come out very well, to my surprise. I'm not a Marcela hater, she actually makes food and not the Aunt Sandy-esque crap on frozen waffles. But Jeff and Sunny are getting to be too too much.
  12. Sunny seems to be getting worse lately. Jeff has always been someone who considers himself cute. Tregaye has got to stop with the Miss Prissy imitation.
  13. Medicine Crow, look at nowandlater's post, there's a link to YouTube. Probably also available from PBS
  14. Seconded. A very well done program and I wish more people would see it.
  15. Agreed, that was funny! And Howard doing the baby stuff shopping with Raj was utterly inappropriate. Bernie could have gone full-shrill and been justified. Au contraire, that was a Chrysler, or possibly Dodge, minivan. I know, I own one and actually make my living doing auto industry market analysis so I know from cars. Also for the record, minivans absolutely rule, even for one kid. We are empty nesters and they are the best road trip vehicle around. The Swiss Army Knife of vehicles and infinitely superior to SUVs for ride, gas mileage, versatility.
  16. it's a winer diner, LOL Glad the show's back
  17. Now here's where I wonder why JJ's lawyers are all over anyone who posts an episode to the internets. They don't fully exploit the opportunity they have
  18. In response to a comment on the All Episodes board about hoping Trump or Clinton would be able to bring back jobs... I just started reading a book called Hillbilly Elegy, about the author's family and Appalachian heritage. Early in the book he talks about working at a tile store making decent money with coworkers that are unwilling to work despite really needing the money, and then being resentful when they're fired for calling in sick repeatedly, slacking, etc. Jobs won't fix this--even now we see a lot of jobs going unfilled because people don't want to be in skilled trades or physical labor fields--too hard. I wish I knew what would. As long as many people, like JJ litigants, are content with a marginal lifestyle and have no aspirations to a better existence, it's tough to see a solution. Maybe the book will have the answer :)
  19. Loved Louise's Frond costume and imitation! Not my favorite Halloween ep (full size candy bars FTW) but it'll do :)
  20. You might be thinking of Subaru One thing that ad convinced us to do was to get a bedliner for the F150 we leased :)
  21. A useful German word was used frequently to describe Ted Cruz when he was running for President: Backpfeifengesicht. Means a face that begs to be slapped . That niece needs slapping BADLY.
