A light hearted fun superhero show is doing that well in the ratings? Get the message DC, superheroes are supposed to be fun. Not everything has to be dark and gritty with antiheroes.

I actually think that was Amell legitimately cracking. I wouldn't be surprised if it originally called for Oliver to just shake his head, but when they saw Amell crack, they said "Let's leave that in and have Oliver smile."

My speculation is the map Coulson is carving leads to an Infinity Stone. This will allow the show to impact the MCU

Because he adds some fun, and is hilarious. Nick Blood has been on point with his comedy, and the comedic chemistry he has with the rest of the cast is perfect.

Starling City Upstairs Law School. So we got Thea going by Mia tonight. Soon she'll be Mia Dearden, and ready to become Speedy. It was good to see that Oliver got to smile this week. When Roy says he's never been on a plane Oliver starts laughing, although it's possible Amell really cracked and they left that in. For the most part Amell got to have a lot of fun this episode. Great to see Nyssa back.

Mockingbird is awesome, and not just because she saved Simmons. The additions of Trip, Hunter, and Mack to the team have brought about some much needed fun. I damn near did a spit take at "Why the hell would you do that?" And it's a map Coulson is carving? I wonder which Infinity Gem it will lead to.

Come back Deanmon, come back. Crowley is awesome, but I'm going to miss his bromance with Dean. I loved the one dude trying to become Crowley's wingman.

He definitely knows. The story he told Barry ended with him running, so while he didn't mention it directly to Barry, he dropped a hint. He doesn't want to tell Barry directly that he knows, because he wants Barry to tell him himself.

They're pushing that the Waynes weren't exactly the pillars of society. I don't think they'll be evil, they'll be people who compromised quite a bit. They knew what was going on, but allowed it to continue because there's some sort of balance to maintain. This could also explain why Bruce in this incarnation won't really compromise or kill anyone. Oswald and Gordon continue to be awesome.

I don't want Oliver to become a megadouche who organizes bum fights, supplies GHB to people, drugs his best friend, torches a community pool, destroys evidence in a murder investigation allowing a murderer to go free, and when his friend starts a fire at a hotel just hightails it out of there without trying to warn anyone. Sorry, I just hate Logan Echolls.

She's playing Malcolm. She knows Roy is working with The Arrow, there was everything with Deathstroke, and she knows that Starling City is constantly under attack. She's using Malcolm to get training, so perhaps she can help Roy and The Arrow.

Massive props to Stephen Amell. He's playing Oliver perfectly as a guy who has been beaten down, and continues to go through Hell with Sara's death. The look on his face was perfect, the guy has massive PTSD issues and this just adds to it. Laurel didn't even check to see if the gun was loaded? What a genius. Speaking of that, great look of disappointment from Oliver, Laurel was going to murder the guy in cold blood without even finding out if he did kill Sara. Love that we got a glimpse of Thea training to become Speedy.

Deanmon and Crowley are awesome, I'm not feeling anything else though. If I have to sit through this angel crap, The Trickster and Zachariah better be just around the corner.

Absolutely, everything about the gala was fun. You had Mack wanting to work on Lola, the whole world knowing what Lance was talking about, May laughing along with the team's reaction, May speaking a lot, and Skye wanting to hear Lance's story. All in all just a fun episode. A spy show on ABC, and Coulson says "May doesn't like coffee.", I'm taking that as a shoutout to Alias. So massive props. May was great this episode. And HYDRA you know how much of a badass May is, did you really think that was going to hold her?

Well, my speculation about Wells was wrong. We're 2 episodes in and the show continues to have fun. It better stay that way, with the Barry voiceovers, people smiling, jokes being made, and Barry having a blast.

And with this episode the road has been paved for Ace Chemicals. With this episode being about Arkham, I was expecting Hugo Strange to pop up supporting opening Arkham. I liked this episode, but I will say that music at the beginning when Gladwell is going after the councilman, sounded a lot like someone just changing a few notes from "My Enemy" from The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Barry: "Can I keep the sweatshirt?" Harrison: "You can do this, Barry. You were right. I am responsible for all of this. So many people have been hurt been hurt because of me, and when I looked at you all I saw was another potential victim of my hubris, and yes I created this madness, but you, Barry, you can stop it. You can do this. Now run Barry, RUN!"

Wow those political commercials, just wow. Holy crap, how did someone ever look at those and think "Yep, that's the ticket. We've got a winner."

Well I certainly wasn't expecting that ending. Damn you Arrow writers, damn you! Just had to do that didn't you? I would have like Brandon Routh saying something like "I like the blue shirts more than the green shirts at another store." Just a nod to Chuck. They'll probably give us a Superman reference in the future with something like "I can't fly. in the future. I liked this episode, despite the ending.

That was the best opening video to a season this show has ever done. I love the Crowley and Dean bromance, not a big fan of the rest though. So, if the show focused more on the Crowley Dean bromance, I wouldn't complain.

Oh thank Zod Simmons isn't HYDRA. Had to love the security guard who mentioned Simmons' smile as brightening his day. Simmons, taking down HYDRA in her own way, one smile at a time. And if they do anything to her, they'll have to deal with the fury of Coulson, May, Skye, and Trip. Fitz was awesome this week. He got some measure of revenge against Ward, and showed Ward he wasn't buying his crap about saving him. I also like the growing friendship between Mac and Fitz. The mention of the XBox was a nice touch.

I love Jason Jones, he's great as a correspondent, but as a host, he's not great. Perhaps we were spoiled because of John Oliver, but Jones wasn't good. For awhile I thought Jon wasn't actually sick, and was going to pop up saying that this was Jason's last telecast so they let Jason be the host.
