  1. Were we ever told what Tom's illness is? I agree that it's got to be a longshot pinning Tom's death on Georgia. Unless there were cameras I can't imagine how they could prove it. There wouldn't have been any reason to conduct an autopsy on him. It was odd that Tom was on "hospice care" and yet we never saw a hospice worker at the house. Maybe they only came when Cynthia wanted to go out and drink wine or bang Joe. Anyway, what Georgia did to Tom seemed OOC to me. Despite her history of taking out problematic husbands, I don't buy that she would smother Tom simply to accelerate things for Cynthia. Not at this juncture in her life and not for someone she doesn't love. Smothering definitely requires a different level of effort than slipping a mickey into someone's drink. Brianne Howey and Antonia Gentry are only ~8 years apart so them playing mother/daughter is a bit of a stretch. AG looks younger when Ginny wears her natural hair. I assume this films in Canada as half the actors have Canadian accents. This season was kind of a mess. They tried to give plotlines to nearly every primary and secondary character and it was all over the place. I don't know whether it's been renewed for a third season, but if so, they better film quickly or the Austin actor will be a teenager still playing a 9-year-old (unless they decide on a time jump).
  2. Aisha met the challenge more successfully than Dru did, so I was disappointed she didn't win. It seems as though the challenge/theme is only given credence when they want to hold it against someone. I thought she was overall the best as she was very consistent with her bakes/flavors and decorating. I really liked Aaron and thought he stood out as an early favorite. I think Jessica was lucky that Bill crapped the bed so spectacularly for the bake-off. Going back to some comments from last week's ep, Bill had mentioned that he and his partner eat halva spread on matzoh and that's why he incorporated matzoh into his cake. If he truly is a home baker without formal training, he is very impressive despite the fact that his mugging for the camera became more exaggerated with each episode.
  3. But Tully isn't in Antarctica at the time Kate goes to her door (and I'm pretty sure Kate doesn't know Tully is going there, anyway). They literally missed one another by minutes at the apartment. Kate goes to see Tully, she isn't home...give her a call!
  4. The "advantage" Jessica earned was incredibly unfair. Either take the advantage and screw everyone else over or get no advantage at all. WTF was that? Not to mention the main heat task, wow. I liked this season up until this episode.
  5. That was so bizarre. Either he forgot, or the editing was weird.
  6. Isolated for months in Antarctica...mmkay. Kate and Tully both have phones...maybe try that, Kate? The departure from the books continues to disappoint.
  7. They inexplicably added food coloring (I think) to make it more green. It looked disgusting to me. I would have used peppermint for a cool pie, even though that was done last week. They could have put a different twist on it.
  8. I'm not sure how Buck affords such a great place and yet Maddie and Chim with two salaries cannot find anything.
  9. What was it? I couldn't understand what she said, rewound, re-watched, and still didn't get it. All I could understand was something about a man.
  10. She looked a lot older than 25 to me. On A Million Little Things, Gary rushed to deliver his at-home sperm sample before it "expired." That's what this reminded me of. I hate this storyline and had hoped that the couple would tell Buck they changed their minds. How odd to show up at his place of employment and discuss it out in the open. Also, would the receptionist really hand him a stack of magazines and a cup right there at the front desk?
  11. Yeah, I think he was lying to save face when she told him she changed her mind about hanging out.
  12. Did anyone else notice that Dr. Phil was in the credits as a producer of this episode? What the heck?
  13. Apparently they thought it was more appropriate to score the scene with Mustang Sally ("Ride Sally Ride").
  14. Ugh, I quoted the wrong post and cannot fix it. I'm replying to Lethallyfab: You would be correct. From the linked TVLine article: Thank goodness our free HBO Max is long over, because I wouldn't want there to be any possibility of watching this dreck.
  15. This show is so terrible and yet there are people clamoring for its return on Hallmark Channel's Facebook page. Someone needs to introduce them to quality TV. They have a lot of storylines to wrap up next week so it's odd that they introduced new ones at the 11th hour, like Evan's father. Evan is unlikeable and he and Abby have no chemistry. Then again, I find her very wooden for such an attractive person. Trace must be so happy he left Chespeake/Canadian Shores. Looks like ALL the sisters are/were pregnant IRL at this point. I will say I'm glad we found out Mandrake's actual name instead of having to wait until the series finale, like Mr. Big. I hope Alan finds a new purpose far away from Evan.
  16. Oof. 9-1-1 should stay in its lane because this was one clunky murder mystery. Looks like a return to form next week, fortunately.
  17. I was too distracted by his new hair color to notice anything else. Yikes. On a completely unrelated note, I have no idea why Louise married Dan. She could do a lot better.
  18. I was just thrilled that we no longer have to witness Dan fellating a hot dog. So the Roseanne characters that The Conners pretend never existed are: Fred, Jerry, Andy...who else?
  19. And Angela Bassett is 64! So Hen is still in medical school, a plotline that was for all intents and purposes dropped last season in favor of her and Karen going out clubbing, etc. Have we met Athena's parents before? As soon as they were introduced I knew that cruise was doomed. Gotta say I didn't see that coming -- I fully expected some life-threatening emergency on the cruise so that Bobby and Athena would team up to save the day.
  20. Except for the part where Evan calls him by a name that isn't actually his name (and so does Abby (despite knowing it isn't actually his name). Calling him "Mandrake" because it amuses him is ridiculous but I suppose it goes along with his man-child schtick.
  21. The problem with shows like this is that there's no one to root for. I liked Tyler until he cheated on his partner. Rachel is somewhat rootable, but she's the only one. Ingrid not making partner and Murphy selling her out were both utterly predictable. As I said in the ep8 thread, I don't get the attraction to Murphy...he gives me creepy Ed Westwick vibes. The three of them starting their own firm was the obvious direction to go in, especially in this era of work-life balance. But apparently Ingrid would rather keep working for Marty and the firm. Mmmkay. With the ridiculous real estate porn and the open featuring silhouettes of extremely skinny people, I'm not sure who the target audience is for this show. I can appreciate better representation on TV, but no young girls should aspire to be like Ingrid. I do like the HR lady though.
  22. So far we have two out of three main characters cheating on their SOs, so somehow it turns out Rachel is the best person of the three? I did not see that coming. Good job making me dislike Tyler, show. I find Jeff to be miscast -- we should see why Ingrid is drawn to him and instead all I see are creepy Ed Westwick vibes.
  23. Did a Hallmark show actually hint at (gasp) SEX? 😱 And between unmarried people, no less! Mick and Megan (divorced) clearly spent the night together, and I'd say Connor and no-chemistry Margaret were definitely heading in that direction before they stopped to Google how long you have to wait after a heart attack. Is this a Hallmark first?
  24. I didn't find him remotely appealing. I'm old enough to remember Baryshnikov posters in the mall, and I never got the appeal. I don't know what Carrie saw in him, or he in her for that matter.
  25. This reminds me that I forgot to comment on Connor's hair. He didn't have it slicked back when he was actually in the hospital and he looked like a totally different person and 1000 times better! Now that he's back "home" I guess he has access to unlimited gel (sigh). I don't know how these women eat as much ice cream and as many s'mores and muffins as they do and stay so thin. With the exception of Jess, as noted above, who now has a curvy figure and looks more "real." At least Abby was a runner at one time, though she doesn't seem to be doing much of that lately. Ah, the unemployed life of a billionaire's girlfriend.
