  1. I thought they were dropping heavy anvils throughout the episode that Katherine is going to re-think her stance on marrying Greta. I could practically see the thought bubbles over her head.
  2. I wonder if Katherine will still have the mullet at her inevitable wedding to Greta?
  3. These episodes are getting stupider every week.
  4. Having had NHL season tickets for many years once upon a time (Go Caps!), the chances of three season ticket holders being unaware of the game start time is zero. Also, day games are only scheduled on weekends and holidays, so I guess the Dr. Jessica interview was not held during normal business hours. That being said, I suppose it was a cute construct for the guys to have a meaningful conversation, even if they have been shown to attend very few games over the lifetime of the show.
  5. I wish they hadn't had Dan and Louise get married if she was going to be "on tour" most of the time. It's pretty silly. I like her character but since she only drops in once every few months, it doesn't make sense.
  6. The whole Carlos story felt like a low-budget TV movie. Second terrible episode in a row. So TK accompanies Carlos' dad and the cop (homicide detective?) back to the scene and is the only one to question murder lady neighbor? And he was the only one to figure out all the victims used the same pharmacy? Remind me not to be murdered in Austin. Maybe now TK will change careers again and join the police department. The best thing I can say about the Owen storyline is it didn't dominate this episode. Based on the preview for next week, is the actor playing Marjan leaving the show? I wouldn't blame her as she, Paul, and Jud are glorified extras at this point (I dont care about Nancy and Probie). If she has another gig, I hope it's a better one. Maybe hoodie guy will blow up the 126 and the show will be put out of its misery.
  7. I've only watched the first episode of S4 -- after watching it, I'm not really interested in this season -- but in the teaser for this story, when GMA said PB had requested to limit certain scenes, my first thought was "well, he had no problem doing a scene where he gruesomely dismembered a body." To then find out he was talking about "intimacy" scenes, was kind of amusing.
  8. I haven't seen any negative blowback to PB's comments, but then again, this morning was the first time I've heard about it.
  9. GMA had a story this morning that Penn Badgley requested not to do any more intimate scenes. Apparently he feels intimate/sex scenes disrupt his faithfulness to his wife of 5 years. In response, such scenes have been drastically reduced for S4. He stated that actually, he initially didn't want to do the show at all for this reason.
  10. Wow. After this episode I don't think I have any interest in watching this season. I'm not interested in the whodunit of Malcolm's murder, and I already find the cast of characters quite tedious.
  11. This episode was a chore to watch. I don't care about either of the two main plotlines. Let's just get back to some completely improbable act of God hitting Austin so the crew can make ridiculous saves and Marjan, Jud, and Paul are not relegated to glorified extras. This show has always paled in comparison to the OG 9-1-1 but at this point it's laughable what they are coming up with in order to give Rob Lowe 70% of the screen time.
  12. I don't trust Scott either. I'm actively rooting for Elena to double-cross him. I also find it curious that he was apparently in charge of Elena's fraud case and now he's a homicide detective? It seems safe to assume that most of what Elena says is false.
  13. I have now watched Eps 1 and 2 twice (after telling Mr Jillybean about it, he wanted to watch it, too, so I re-watched) and now Ep 3, I still don't understand the deal with the ruby. It seems Scott (is that the detective's name?) is claiming that some random person (do we know who?) told him that there's a ruby somewhere in the Greybourne that apparently he thinks he and Elena can turn into a fortune. This idea seems half-baked at best. How is it that they hatched a plan based on this vague information? Why did Aly conveniently die right around the same time that Elena and Scott met? Why did they wait 6 months after her death to find a nanny? Why does Elena have to do all the work to find the supposed ruby? She and Scott seem to be holding vague threats over one another's heads. I like the show but the ruby plot is weak, at best. I'm doubtful that the ruby exists. I'm assuming this will all be fleshed out in the coming episodes because if it isn't, then the entire premise makes no sense. Meanwhile, if I'm Elena I'd be out of there. The idea of a ruby wouldn't be worth being haunted and daily trips to that creepy basement. The actors playing Elena and the new doorman both starred in Promised Land, which I enjoyed but unfortunately was one and done after one season last year.
  14. I can. Aidan kissing Carrie while married to someone else. The movies and this execrable "continuation" shit all over the OG series.
  15. I don't know the name of it, but it goes "I like girls who wear Abercombie & Fitch..."
  16. I was interested in this because Connie Britton, but I decided to read the book first. Now I'm not as interested in the show because it doesn't seem to follow the book (which, admittedly, would be challenging). Seems to be another "loosely based," like Firefly Lane.
  17. Danny wasn't the only one. The dog knew from the outset that she was evil. The only thing I don't get was her coming to taunt him in the psych hospital. She got the money, now move on.
  18. My hopes that the actors playing Charlie and Ellen would get some acting training between seasons were dashed after seeing this episode. Wow, are they bad. Ellen is written and played rather maniacally. Both of them seem like they think they are on a live stage with their exaggerated movements and line delivery. All of the writing is pretty weak, but I'd rather wake up and watch 25 minutes of this over 25 minutes of news.
  19. I'm hoping they aren't all murder trials.
  20. I wish they hadn't kicked off the series with this episode because of how dark and depressing it was. I'm in for one more episode and if it has the same tone, I'm out.
  21. Here's where I heard it. Weird that they reported this.
  22. GMA reported this morning that AJLT has been renewed for seasons 3 and 4! Ugh! Is this true?
  23. Were we ever told what Tom's illness is? I agree that it's got to be a longshot pinning Tom's death on Georgia. Unless there were cameras I can't imagine how they could prove it. There wouldn't have been any reason to conduct an autopsy on him. It was odd that Tom was on "hospice care" and yet we never saw a hospice worker at the house. Maybe they only came when Cynthia wanted to go out and drink wine or bang Joe. Anyway, what Georgia did to Tom seemed OOC to me. Despite her history of taking out problematic husbands, I don't buy that she would smother Tom simply to accelerate things for Cynthia. Not at this juncture in her life and not for someone she doesn't love. Smothering definitely requires a different level of effort than slipping a mickey into someone's drink. Brianne Howey and Antonia Gentry are only ~8 years apart so them playing mother/daughter is a bit of a stretch. AG looks younger when Ginny wears her natural hair. I assume this films in Canada as half the actors have Canadian accents. This season was kind of a mess. They tried to give plotlines to nearly every primary and secondary character and it was all over the place. I don't know whether it's been renewed for a third season, but if so, they better film quickly or the Austin actor will be a teenager still playing a 9-year-old (unless they decide on a time jump).
  24. Aisha met the challenge more successfully than Dru did, so I was disappointed she didn't win. It seems as though the challenge/theme is only given credence when they want to hold it against someone. I thought she was overall the best as she was very consistent with her bakes/flavors and decorating. I really liked Aaron and thought he stood out as an early favorite. I think Jessica was lucky that Bill crapped the bed so spectacularly for the bake-off. Going back to some comments from last week's ep, Bill had mentioned that he and his partner eat halva spread on matzoh and that's why he incorporated matzoh into his cake. If he truly is a home baker without formal training, he is very impressive despite the fact that his mugging for the camera became more exaggerated with each episode.
  25. But Tully isn't in Antarctica at the time Kate goes to her door (and I'm pretty sure Kate doesn't know Tully is going there, anyway). They literally missed one another by minutes at the apartment. Kate goes to see Tully, she isn't home...give her a call!
