Not necessarily better, but more aggressive. Andi has made it clear week in and week out that she likes her men sexually aggressive. Sure, Nick is assertive about spending time with her, but I doln't see him being as bold as Josh in the boudoir. Just a hunch.
-
I don't put any credence in that report, but I would believe she had sex with both men -- and that it was one major deciding factor in choosing Josh over Nick.

Poor Dylan. He gets a bad edit during the lie detector test, and even savvy Previously.tv members fall for it. The crux of Andi's little manufactured drama with Josh was that a couple of the other guys declared their "love" <<eyeroll>> and he wouldn't, no matter how many times she told him to state his feelings. Ick. Playing with dirty pigeons - nasty! What were they thinking?

During the first few episodes. Andi kept mentioning the guys who she thought were "hot." It seems very important to her that a man be aggressive as well and willing to make a move on her. She kissed a lot of guys in this episode. My conclusion is she wants a hot guy who's going to constantly put the moves on her. He also must "step up" and adore her and focus all her attention on her, so as not to be lumped in the same category as Juan Pablo. It seems shallow, really, but I suppose I wanted some of the same things when I was still in my 20s. As an aside, she finally resigned her job, so it's not like she's serious about her law career, either.

I really like Marquel, and I also like Brian, and If Josh doesn't want to be known as an athlete, perhaps he should identify with his current profession rather than "Former Pro Athlete." He may not have a lot of say in it, but it's all he talked about. What do you do with yourself now, Josh? I don't find Nick at all appealing. Mostly, I'm just glad they're moving on to Venice, so I don't have to hear Andi say "Mar-say" again.

Just finished my re-watch. Great idea! I've been looking for a reason to break out the DVDs since I'm sick of the heavily censored syndicated episodes. I've always thought Carrie looked really awful in this episode. Obviously once the show was picked up they decided she should have long blonde hair instead of short brown hair. Her wardrobe was definitely more understated, so maybe Patricia Field wasn't on board yet for the pilot. The Charlotte we came to know probably wouldn't have worn that dress with Capote Duncan - she was much too conservative most of the time. I have always thought it was interesting that Charlotte called Carrie and said "Hey, it's Charlotte." This didn't telegraph the tight friendships they had as the series continued. I didn't like the severity of Miranda's look or personality in S1 but it wasn't nearly as severe in this episode. Why did Carrie set her up with Skipper? I don't think Samantha knew she was going home with Char's date. The girls didn't seem to know every bit of minutiae about one another in this ep as they did as the series progressed. I really don't think a guy like Capote Duncan would have told Charlotte he needed to get laid and shared a cab. I wonder if Carrie ever found out Samatha hit on Mr. Big? I don't believe for one second that Carrie had never been in love by her early 30s. What about Kurt, the guy from this episode? Apparently she had been a big mess over him 3 times in the past. I love Stanford but he wasn't as flamboyant in this episode as he came to be. I missed it! I think I had more observations but I can't remember them all!

Yeah, they had an hour to fill and they did so with filler.

Well, at least we have the mime date to look forward to!

If they wanted to dedicate the last few minutes to Eric, they shoud have showed some outtakes or B-roll footage of him, which his family and friends likely would have appreciated. Then faded out to his photo and skipped the previews or buffered them with commercials. Having Andi discuss him as "a member of the family" was so incredibly inappropriate. Andi didn't know Eric at all. Eric's sister emailed Reality Steve: Hi Reality Steve, I just wanted to send you a quick note to thank you for the way you’ve handled Eric’s part on “The Bachelorette.” For a show that invites mockery and cynicism, I appreciate that you treated Eric’s story with such respect. He really was a remarkable person, and I like that you mentioned more than once how his part in the show should be kept in perspective with the rest of his real life. Lots of writers have been respectful, but you’ve handled it with special class. Eric was visiting me when he signed the contract and I begged him not to do it, but when I realized he was set on it I tried to be supportive. As always, he was none other than himself to the end, for better or for worse. He really felt terrible that he made Andi cry. Anyway, I felt the need to express my gratitude to you before I signed out. Best wishes to you in your endeavors. Eric’s sister, Karen Tracy

Sharleen is actually recapping the eps on her own blog, and she wasn't too impressed with Bradley from eps 1 and 2.

Oh, me too, but she was clearly on the verge of tears and acted SO confused that there were ANY shenanigans of ANY kind, as though she had never seen the show before.

Eric died from injuries sustained in a paragliding accident in Utah. Andi needs to just stAHP. Reality Steve said in his recap he hopes next time she says that the guy just clamps his mouth shut and stops talking. Heh. I really disliked the juxtaposition between the stripping date and Andi's meltdown at being asked to pose nude during the JP season. She expected them to do something she would not have done herself, and that's BS. I understand she didn't conceive of the idea herself, but still. And the whole "money goes to charity" sent up red flags all over the place. That's about as vague as you can get. If there really is a 501 (c )(3) called The Bachelor Gives Back, they need to identify exactly where their funds re going. If you click the Bachelor Gives Back tab on the website, you get a blank page. Andi's attire was pretty modest in JP's season; in fact, she wore one-piece swimsuits. I'm guessing that doesn't cut it when one is the star. I'm all for a little cleavage, but waving one's breasts in the face of a bunch of guys while professing to be there for the serious business of finding a husband borders on absurd. Did Andi expect the guys to sit around and drink tea and discuss current events on the group date? Really, it shocked her that one or more of them had too much to drink? Craig seemed like a jackass even without the booze. But at least now I know all tax attorneys aren't boring.

I don't know about genetics. . I mean, she was cute in high school, but it's obvious much of her current look is artificial, and she's done everything possible to neutralize her heritage. I had a much longer post about the finale, but my dog gets jealous of my laptop and deleted the whole darn thing, and it's not worth re-typing. So I'll just say that J Lo's bitchface when her little pet didn't win was almost worth watching this wretched season.
