  1. JL was on Kelly & Michael this week and she said that her part was originally written for a man. Also, that her character is the most opposite of her that she has ever played (which is obvious). Maybe she's overcompensating for that. I agree with the many plot holes - it's inexplicable that RP's character is being exclusively focused/harangued on by the detective and villified by the neighbors and media. Jess thinks her ex did it - does that matter at all? I am still curious enough to keep watching. I'm liking RP in this so far.
  2. GMA just aired a clip from WTA where Kaitlyn was confronting Chris about not giving her the chance for a private conversation like he did Becca (and like Andi did for him), and why she was made to stand there through the rose ceremony, instead of just privately being sent home. I'm sorry, but that's what you signed up for. There's no guarantee of a "special" exit just because it's been done in the past. I expected more from you, Kaitlyn. But i get it...the sympathy play. I just hope they don't totally lobotomize her.
  3. Definitely not live. Harry performed ihere in VA on Wednesday night, so there's no way he was in Detroit watching the guys perform. When are the results being announced -- next week? I don't mind the one-hour format free of filler and judges fawning over each other, but I'm not clear on the schedule.
  4. For us, the biggest "WTF" moment was Perry and Gumshoe sitting around drinking beer, eating peanuts, and waiting for Daddy to call instead of getting the F outta there. Sitting ducks, much?
  5. Gawd, the only thing worse than a Trump presidency would be a G'Dildo vice presidency.
  6. Too funny - I asked Mr. Jillybean if he thought anyone under 30 knows who Geraldo is...then I amended it to under 40 (we're 45). I didn't think Geraldo had any relevance today. Tony Orlando - wow. I couldn't believe he was tapped to perform. I was saying "I only know one song of his" and lo and behold, that's the one he sang. And the Universal executives pointed out that it didn't fit at all with the theme of the evening. ONJ's voice has held up quite a bit better than his.
  7. According to IMDB, Leeza co-hosted a daily syndicated "magazine" show, America Now, with Bill Rancic (!) until this past September. She was also the executive producer.
  8. The pastor who said "we go somewhere else" did mention Cedar Rapids, at least. So, there's that.
  9. Lounging around a bed alone in the middle of Bumfuck -- or sitting on a blanket with Chris a few yards away -- is not my idea of an epic date. Someone identifying himself as Kelsey's Dad wrote a long diatribe in her defense in a comment here. Looks like next week in Iowa is when reality hits Britt.
  10. I think Mr. Jillybean and I are ready to give up on this show. It's too dark and depressing this season. I enjoy Allison Janney and she brings the occasional laugh, but that's about it. She and Anna Faris are both too good for this.
  11. It really is stupid. Now that the episodes are an hour, they should do away with sending the three out of the Boardroom since Trump is no longer shown confereing with his minions about whom to fire. If they do that, they could stop paying the actress who plays Amanda (I think her name is).
  12. Although he's too old to play an active pro hockey player. Only a few of the exceptional ones play past age 40.
  13. Ick. I don't think I want to spend an hour a week with these people. And we're supposed to buy Warren Christie as 28? Come on.
  14. Add me to the list. Fitz makes my skin crawl.
  15. The whole thing with the jealous sister was very The Bodyguard. They didn't sell me on Annalynne McCord and Wienerdog being sisters. Regarding the alarm code, wasn't the friend staying with her, so she needed it? What's stupid is storing it in her phone. Also, unlocking her phone in front of "Brody" when she didn't use it for anything, anyway. I'm under the impression that Beth realized the perfume bottle was out of place and is actually getting pretty rattled at this point. I'm beginning to think that storyline will be dragged out all season.
  16. Well, at this point, Allison Janney is the only reason I'm still watching. We loved this show last season, but all the funny seems to have vanished and now it's just stupid and kinda depressing. At least AJ is able to wring a few laughs with her deadpan delivery.
  17. I'm only still watching because I'm still hoping for a valid explanation of why Joel left Julia. And yes, this is the "Farewell Season," thank goodness.
  18. Wow. There were other shows I stopped recording after their pilots. We've seen every one of these. It's not brilliant, but it's OK.
  19. This episode was miles better than the pilot. Dennah and Gil are funnier than Annie and Jake.
  20. Intriguing, since his character on Scandal was killed off last season.
  21. This was actually OK, but Casey will have to take it down several notches if I'm to endure her for 22+ minutes each week. She's one of the reasons I quit on Happy Endings before the network did. Oh, and the guy from Scandal is not old enough to be her dad. Come on now.
  22. These are the two new shows I've already yanked off my DVR. TMOL made it for 2 episodes. Bad Judge was deleted after one. It was execrable. Not at all what I'd expected. And I actually like Kate Walsh, but not here.
  23. Best part of the episode: no Max, no Kristina, no Snowflake Academy. Worst part of the episode: Way too much Hank/Ruby/Hank's ex. I don't care about these people. And I still want to punch Adam in the face. The Twizzlers product placement worked. I love Twizzlers and I wish I had some right now!
