He got his fifteen minutes (actually 120 of them) even though there was no effort or resolution. All that footage should have just been deleted and chalked up to filming sessions that never should have been edited into an episode. I totally agree that this is what happened! I also think that's why we got so many unresolved "6 Month Journeys" with some of the poundticipants last year. Production just cobbled together what they had already filmed before they had to shut down. Then again, they'll never be able to top the Lacey episode, so they shouldn't have even tried after that!
