  1. “Now I’m so happy!”
  2. I had to wait for the drawings of each person’s plan to understand what in the world the showstopper was meant to be. That was ridiculous. Sandro is exhausting.
  3. I’m late to the season, but son watched it and didn’t like Sandro. His obvious competitive nature seems slightly inappropriate in context with this show. I knew Kevin needed to go, but I am glad it was at least on a high of that custard tasting so good.
  4. I appreciated Noel (or was it Matt?) trying to save Paul by saying his mom is really cool.
  5. Exactly. She didn’t try to bully anyone - just said she was uncomfortable with the storyline and asked to be written out of the episode. I applaud the show runners, who first asked if she wanted her character to argue against Natalie’s plan, for agreeing to send Blair out of town that week.
  6. IIRC Lisa became more dedicated to her church’s beliefs over time. I am someone who isn’t bothered by her respectfully asking not to be involved in an episode that made her uncomfortable. It’s not like she put the show on blast or tried to shut it down, just asked for the week off. In one interview she said she still isn’t sure if she made the right decision.
  7. MASH gave Frank very new few notes, but Larry played them gracefully whenever he got the chance. The show runners were smart not to try to replicate the character. Charles was a good antagonist and rounded character.
  8. And their PR is so good that they will convince huge swaths of people that the strikers are the ones being greedy.
  9. I think my favorite episode of MASH is Sons and Bowlers. I wish Charles and Hawkeye had more moments like that one.
  10. So pleased for Phil! Jamie’s arc has been terrific!
  11. I remember the lottery episode hitting home to me because I worked in a small office, and when the lottery became legal in our state we played it as a group. All of the things they described on the show essentially happened to us: some staff complained that $20 per month was too much, and they thought the higher ups should be footing the bill; some people mocked the fun because of the odds; the secretary in charge of the effort sent out a memo with her separate numbers so if she hit on those we wouldn’t be asking for our cut. Only a couple of times did we hit anything, but it was never more than $200, which we agreed she could just use for the next month without our input. I don’t know if she enjoyed organizing it, but we had some fun planning our big adventures with the winnings, and yes some wanted to invest.
  12. Scenes of Sid in Toy Story come to mind!
  13. I have always been the biggest fan of Camelot and was extremely eager to see this version until they said Merlin was no longer a wizard. I didn’t know that was the hill I would die on, but here we are. The tour can skip my city.

If you want to see an amazing play, watch and enjoy (love my Guardians!): Bo Naylor’s 360 spin and throw to catch the runner stealing
  15. Helpful article for those who weren’t paying attention at the time. Gwyneth was one of many who championed Andrea’s nomination
  16. Because The Lego Movie was a huge hit.
  17. I thought evil Dani was funny, too, but I never thought he deliberately set out to hurt Van Damme in the match and I think others did.
  18. I always thought Chris O’Donnell should have told the headmaster which students damaged his car so I have always hated Al Pacino’s big speech at the end (“I’ve been around you know. 🙄)
  19. I had given up on the show about halfway through the first season without Sorkin, but I came back for the last few episodes and wondered if there had been some fallout I had missed. They blew it there. Another missed opportunity (mostly because Sam was always my favorite character) was when Bartlett commiserated with Santos about Kennedy screwing up the curve for inaugural addresses, but said Santos got some good lines in. I would have liked Bartlett to add, “Sam?” and have Santos nod. I thought it would have been a nice callback to Sam’s ability as a speech writer.
  20. Eh, I think that sentiment is horseshit. If I knew today was my last day on Earth, I wouldn't be at work and I wouldn't clean my house and a thousand other things which one absolutely has to do on a normal day. I'd be lying on a beach, probably reading a book which I'd never need to return to the library. Very few people can get away with not paying bills, but most of us wouldn't care about them if we knew there was no tomorrow. I chose not to take it that literally. YMMV.
  21. I don’t know how you have Bonnie Milligan in your building and don’t ask her to sing. Baffling.
  22. Why did we even hear a scene from Funny Girl when it wasn’t nominated?
  23. Victoria was a witch; not only did she make me think she was 16, she made me think I was 16 again, too. Well deserved!
  24. We saw Kimberly Akimbo, and thank God Bonnie won! It deserves all the awards!
