  1. In all likelihood it was probably going to end with Season 8 anyway (I think most people were shocked it got a Season 7), so I'm okay with KH pounding a few nails in. She can be watchable and I'm really tired of Donna at this point.
  2. Casting info: http://deadline.com/2017/10/warrior-cinemax-cast-director-bruce-lee-inspired-martial-arts-series-1202185298/
  3. The only thing interesting about a BD spoiler is speculating on how they'll write him into a story that doesn't need him.
  4. Jennifer Finnigan hasn't done too badly. I'm certainly looking forward to S2 of Salvation. :-) It was dumb but as long as Santiago Cabrera is on my screen, I won't complain too much.
  5. ^^^ Yes, to all of this. Well, except for nuHope. It's early days yet and it can take the young ones a little time to find their footing. I'm willing to give her some before writing her off.
  6. Ah, so many good comments and likes that I can't give... I'm not a fan of change (I still have more than one Win7 computer and an old Thinkpad with WinXP that I can't bear to part with) but some upgrades are a necessary evil. Give the board update a little time to settle in and the admins time to swat all the bugs and things should be back to normal in a few days.
  7. John Dixon? Agreed - a real friend of Liam's would be welcome. While I've thought for quite a while that Hope needed to be recast and back in LA it was mainly for Brooke - not for a new ToD. It would be a shame to go from the Emmy reel scenes to a retread of any Liam triangle. (Substituting Sally for Steffy might be an upgrade but won't be anything I want to revisit.)
  8. Today's episode was tedious - not a fan of watching Liam being harangued about forgiving Steffy. But I'd give yesterday's episode a solid B. Not a lot happened, besides Bill and Ridge facing off but it did highlight some of what I'm liking about the show lately. A Katie who laughs is high up on the list. And I'm fine with Watie discussing the scandal of the day, especially since it affects both of their families. The NuHope actress is okay so far. Sally is back. I'm even liking JMW more (disliking her less?), not only is she (mostly) showing up, she isn't afraid to show Steffy wallowing in her misery, red nose, pasty complexion and ratty hair. (Though now that Hope's back she better start brushing her hair, at least.) Which kind of leads to the main thing I like about the fallout of the Still ONS - they messed up royally but it didn't come out of nowhere, it wasn't really OOC (except for the lightning fast Brill implosion), it's affecting a lot of other characters and there haven't been any gross consent issues. (Other than the ones characters are positing to excuse Steffy, which she flatly shoots down.) Hopefully the outrage over Misunderstanding Night had some impact at CBS. There is clearly enough drama without that crap. I'm also hoping the baby is outed as Bill's sooner rather than later. Except I don't want anyone we know to have messed with the tests. I vote for someone seeing on the news that a local lab has been shut down due to sloppy lab procedures, which leads to a week or two of angst and a 2nd test.
  9. Ridge is an idiot. I have mixed feelings about Bill playing the "L" card. It's too soon, for Steffy and for the audience. Swill deserves all the shame and scorn that can be heaped upon them, and while I will grudgingly give Bill some credit for trying to protect Steffy from her well earned portion, they need to pay some more before they bond and become the villainous super couple we know they can be.
  10. Aww... now I"m missing Craig again (fiercely). Absolutely. 2 of the best things I've ever seen on tv.
  11. Were Liam and Hope legally married before? I thought they'd never actually made it? Or at least that's what I remember hearing when I first started watching, when Hope married Wyatt after Liam was delayed by fishing Ivy out of the Seine.
  12. I tend to forget about Steffy's part in that. I still blame $Bill more I suppose because his efforts to acquire the SF land for "Sky" lead to more than one disaster. And without his dying lie, Caroline wouldn't have had a chance, no matter what Caroline and Steffy plotted. But yeah, no one came out of that looking good. I know it's too much to hope that Still is endgame. I don't like either character all that much but I have a weird fondness for villainous power couples.
  13. Liam stayed quiet about $Bill/Caroline's lie about her health so I always thought he had his own responsibility (albeit second-hand) in messing around with Sally and SF once Thomas went to NY to be with Caroline and Douglas. I was only watching sporadically around that time because I liked Tally and hated how they handled PF leaving but Liam's halo was definitely tarnished with that episode. No matter that he tried to help her afterwards, Thomas and Sally had something really special that enhanced both characters. I liked their designing partnership.
  14. Wait. Justin is a grandfather? That was what went wrong with bringing back Sheila in that weird mini "who is out to get Quinn" mystery - it ended up only really affecting Quinn and Eric and it seemed to come out of nowhere. (Well, to be fair it did come out of nowhere.) And no one cared in the end. Except the rare Deacon fans who weren't happy with how that worked out - is he still in jail, btw?
  15. As someone who has never seen Amber on this show (just Y&R) I would kind of like to see her, as long as it was AF and not a recast. I haven't really liked Rick's stories since I've been watching these last few years. (Though not right now... unless nuHope doesn't work out.)
  16. Just a reminder - there is a Media thread now for posting articles on the show/cast/etc. There is also a thread for Roseanne Barr/Roseanne Conner.
  17. The Rick/Hope/Ridge/Brooke/Maya scene was interesting in that I almost got suckered into believing they might be planning a nuanced sibling rivalry, Hope doesn't realize the world has moved on from her awesomeness kind of storyline. I do remember advocating for a Hope recast awhile back but it was partly to give Brooke some reason other than Ridge or Bill to be onscreen and partly wishing for a Deacon sighting. Be careful what you wish for, I guess. (Though honestly, I'd suck it up and watch whatever if it did include some appearances from SK.)
  18. A new potential cast member? The black hoodie of (self-inflicted) pain and misery... NuHope was okay but reminded me more of Donna than Brooke. Brooke looked great though. And I'm finally resigned to Watie, I guess because I thought they looked cute together. And Katie tap dancing re: Steffy was fun to watch.
  19. Pilot Episode/TBA Series Description: From executive producers Ellen DeGeneres, Emily Kapnek ("Suburgatory"), Jeff Kleeman ("Little Big Shots") and Dean Holland ("Parks and Recreation") comes "Splitting Up Together," the story of Lena (Jenna Fischer, "The Office") and Martin (Oliver Hudson, "Scream Queens"), whose marriage is reignited by their divorce. "Splitting Up Together" stars Jenna Fischer as Lena, Oliver Hudson as Martin, Bobby Lee as Arthur, Lindsay Price as Camille, Olivia Keville as Mae, Van Crosby as Mason and Sander Thomas as Milo. Mette Heeno, Mie Andreasen and Hella Joof are also executive producers, along with DeGeneres, Kapnek, Kleeman and Holland, of "Splitting Up Together," which is based on the original Danish series of the same name created by Heeno. 20. The scenes with Liam and Bill on the floor were so weird - a very odd directing choice. And I'm a little baffled that Bill is all about Liam forgiving Steffy, unless they are trying to show that he really loves her that much. It would be interesting if true, because I can't tell if Still or Steam would then be endgame. Or maybe they are going for a Brooke/Ridge/Eric kind of triangle they can play out for the next few years? (I suppose that's way more lazy, recycled material than Brill had available. Not that I'm bitter or anything...)
  21. I'll make it an even table for 4. The delusional, desperate, panicky and begging Steffy was an appropriate change from her usual arrogant self. I did feel like JMW was channeling Scarlett O'Hara a bit much but at least she was trying. I've been watching SC for many years and knew he was capable of more than the show was giving him so this week has been very satisfying. Also a special shout out to @CountryGirl for the riveting recaps. I probably wouldn't have watched if I hadn't read them. CBS media should put you on the payroll.
  22. Please use this thread to discuss Roseanne (the show) and Roseanne (herself, as well as the other cast and crew) in the media, both social and traditional.
  23. This is just a reminder that Roseanne's personal politics are off-topic. If you have questions about PTV and politics, see this post.
  24. I caught a minute of Prince Harry's interview with Barack Obama in the car today. http://people.com/royals/prince-harry-interviews-barack-obama/
  25. It was great to have Fitz back, and teamed up with Hunter made it even sweeter. It's weird - I'm so used to various plot devices for time travel that the idea of taking the long way surprised me. Loved the SW refs - I mean how could anyone going to be frozen in a capsule resist?
