  1. Agreed. That's pretty much how I would envision it happening. If it does. Zeph's growth is her own happy ending as far as I'm concerned. So who/if she ends up with someone, I'm just enjoying the journey. I'm not usually fond of finales that end with everyone matched up or with boring HEAs. I like the ones where they answer the big question and then you can imagine life going on for the characters. Where the story continues, it just isn't happening on our screens anymore.
  2. I can see Z/D eventually happening. Zeph has really evolved this year. She's a legit member of TAF, as far as I'm concerned.
  3. What I like about Numb3rs is that it's one of the few scripted shows where I don't feel like I've lost IQ points after watching. (Even 6th season, though it's not that great for Numb3rs, it was still better than most of the stuff on tv.) And I loved the Eppes house, even though it would probably be too much like living in a Craftsman museum as it was set up.
  4. They've got a lot of stuff going on with only 3 episodes left this season, so while D'av may not be front and center - it doesn't feel to me like they are easing him out - at least not quite yet. It does seem like the pieces on the chess board are being moved around for a specific purpose. I'm sure there are some doomed relationships in the offing. Crossing my fingers that Zeph and Pip are still standing at the end of the season. Not that I want them together necessarily, as I've always thought Zeph and D'av would make a pretty couple.
  5. I don't have a H&I channel but do own all of Numb3rs on dvd. My husband and I finished rewatching the whole series about 3 months ago. I think my favorite of those episodes is Hardball. Oswald was a good character.
  6. It's been a long time since S1, but it was my impression that AA played it early on as Johnny completely in love with Dutch but settling for BFF status. (And Dutch being oblivious, though I never quite knew if it was intentional or truly.) He felt so betrayed by D'av and Dutch hooking up but I do remember thinking it was his own fault for not telling D'av how he really felt about her. The whole sister outrage was deflection. But it was okay with me, because that kind of thing happens. It only made me love John and Pawter more because I felt like he deserved someone who loved him back. I do think the show intentionally teases the D/J shippers with scenes that can be taken multiple ways. But it just isn't them. They teased Dutch/DSK before giving us DSK/Aneela. I always wondered if that was planned or just written in because HJK has way too much chemistry with everyone.
  7. The audience certainly lost out when they made IR Thorne. Ingo sweeping in ala Jax would have breathed some life into the tired romantic pairings. (As long as he wasn't secretly related to someone. Or even if, for that matter.)
  8. The only reason to care even slightly about Xander was that storyline. TPTB on this show baffle me. They have all this insanely good potential material and then use about 2% of it, disappointing the audience time after time after time.
  9. I didn't mean to imply that Johnny wasn't Dutch's equal but more that he will follow her lead anywhere, which in turn adds a protective element to their relationship. Whereas with D'av - he is more her equal as a warrior. He will follow her too, but he also challenges her and makes her stronger. Johnny makes her more human and more vulnerable, which is a serious drawback when the fates of worlds are at stake. In peacetime, I would be rooting for D/J all day long, because I find their chemistry irresistible. But that would be a different show. D/J wouldn't be a total shocker. Of course, if at the very end of S4, we see them together I'm going to assume it's a con or a hallucination, because that sounds like something this show would do. (I'm so cynical.)
  10. I looked at the date of the last post and was surprised no one had posted in this topic since last year, then realized even though there has been lots of relationship stuff this season - the only new thing was the introduction of Khlyen and Yalena in s4e07 flashbacks. Well, that aside... some comments that didn't really fit into the episode discussion. I've been missing Alvis and his easy, sexy relationship with Dutch. While I enjoy the D/J chemistry, I'm not a shipper because I can't ignore my instincts that there really isn't a future with them. Both Jaqobis brothers seem very traditional when it comes to family (John, for sure with Pawter showed us this and D'avin chose his kid over Dutch) and Dutch just isn't. Raised in a harem, as royalty and trained as an assassin, I just can't picture her in a traditional long-term monogamous relationship. Which it would have to be with a Jaqobis. For the record, I can see Dutch in such a relationship with a person who was in every way her equal. Which I can almost buy with D'av. But not with Johnny, no matter how much they love each other. Anyway, my two cents as things stand right now.
  11. It's running on WGN which my cable system doesn't have. It's listed in the Play Store but says unavailable and doesn't come up at all in iTunes. http://www.wgnamerica.com/series/carter/carter
  12. I think it was John talking about dying together and how intimate and low key it was for a bit when they were piloting the ship. It seemed more real to me than the blatant stuff. D/D being anything long-term... not saying it's impossible but personally not seeing it. When it's the 3 of them, I feel the Jaqobis brothers rivalry tends to dominate, and I like it much better when it's just teammates and friends on straightforward Killjoys type of missions. I didn't miss D'av or the kid at all and am fine with them doing some of their bonding offscreen. I wish they would do some novelizations.
  13. I was a little let down by the warlord aspect but still, Gared's rescue was true Killjoys. And I kind of smiled with how tactful Dutch was with how she referenced Aneela/DSK. It's kind of weird that this BSC pairing is one of the least crazy things about Aneela (and Killjoys). I mostly ignore the D/J shipper tease but sheesh... they've been laying it on thick lately, haven't they? Anyway, the mysteries multiply. Lots of questions for only 3/13 episodes left. ETA: forgot to mention the way Dutch described Khlyen being just a memory in the green now. We know what Aneela can do with a memory in the green...
  14. Just a reminder, comments about guests on shows other than All In are off-topic.
  15. A few recent posts were moved to The Conners media topic. Posts about The Conners should go in that forum.

  17. This topic replaces the old Strictly Come Dancing forum which has been vaulted at the location below: http://forums.previously.tv/forum/1154-strictly-come-dancing-v/
  18. Psych is the bromance version of GG, with tons of scifi and other pop culture references. The Freddie Prinze Jr episode (Not Even Close... Encounters) is just an all-out valentine to the genre and it's one of my favorites. I think I'm going to give Take Two a couple of episodes over the holiday weekend and see how it goes. I'm currently finishing up a rewatch of Castle with my husband - not sure if that will hurt or help. For us, Castle ends with S5. (I've seen them all but I only have the the first five on dvd so it's a good stopping point.) ETA: Psych is a "fake it 'til you make it" kind of show, which is (IMO) a subset of the "civilian who proves their worth in crime solving" genre.
  19. Sorry for the out of nowhere reply (just checking out the Take Two forum to see if I should bother binge watching it) but I suspect anyone who loves scifi and rapid fire, breezy dialog would like Psych.
  20. Okay, all the ass stuff was a pretty good line, though kind of under-delivered. At least he's not a stereotypical tv kid. The most interesting thing about the episode was the parallel between Dutch and Zeph, both hitting their limits in what they can control, albeit in different ways. Neither one likes it, which I sympathize with. And DSK swanning off to who know where to do who knows what. I'm intrigued. :-)
  21. I don't think so. I won't have a chance to watch until tomorrow night myself but am not looking forward to Dutch having to deal with Aneela's kid (her brother? her nephew?). That's weirder than the kid's name. Still, Pree and Fancy - I'm on board for that.
  22. Original air date: 2018-08-24
  23. There is a major site update brewing, though I'm not sure exactly when it will happen. It's said that the forums will be easier to maintain at that point. (Currently the custom coding means when one thing is fixed, another often breaks.)
  24. Can I just say that the fact TAF is even a thing, whether as a simple acronym, onscreen irony or whatever makes me smile?
  25. I'm okay with D/D as friends with benefits though I feel a little for D'av, as he obviously wants more. And if D/J are endgame, well... we aren't at the end yet. Any episode with Fancy is a good episode for me. And Gared as the damsel in distress is so perfect. :-) I found the AI bio weapons thing more annoying than amusing but it was likely just my mood.
