  1. It's been filming, if you go by Twitter. And they were at SDCC, so I'm surprised we haven't heard much.
  2. We don't have FIY anymore so I Googled this and it must not have done well. I couldn't find much of anything about it.
  3. Since this show hasn't gotten much traffic, I've merged what few posts there were into one. In the future, that means there may be spoilers for those who haven't seen the show all the way through.
  4. A year ago (maybe more, when was that dumb co-CEO storyline?) I was sitting alone at my table for one seeing some inappropriate, unintentional chemistry between TK/JMW.
  5. Haha, this "—with love, humor and perseverance, the family prevails." didn't even register. Whatever show they're describing, it's not Roseanne or The Conners (hopefully). Now if they had said "with sarcasm and snarky humor, they hang in there"... maybe.
  6. Posts regarding Roseanne's future career opportunities should go in either the Media topic (if it's an article/link of interest to Roseanne - the show - fans) or the Roseanne Barr specific one. The last couple have been moved there.
  7. My husband and I did a Numb3rs rewatch recently, so working through the Dead Zone is weird, in that Dylan Bruno and Chris Bruno are very similar, even for brothers. Every time Walt is on, I mentally call him not-Colby. I'm only up to S01, E08. The House was creepy, very Stephen King-ish. Enemy Mind was okay and Netherworld was sad. I'm surprised they went with an episode with Johnny and Sarah so early on. I wonder if they weren't sure they'd get a 2nd season? I'm always up for a bank robbery - looking forward to the next one.
  8. Since it's being referenced in the speculation topic, I thought I'd put the source here. https://abc.go.com/shows/abc-new-shows/news/shows/abc-picks-up-the-connors-straight-to-series-to-premiere-this-fall
  9. Becky wouldn't be the first woman told that she had little to no chance of getting pregnant and ending up that way. For me that would be much better than Darlene, especially if David isn't around. Gina would be awkward, as long as she's half a world away. And just no to it being Harris. At least Becky or Gina might be happy about it. Can't see that with either Darlene or Harris. The writers really need to step back from the never-ending misery.
  10. I have a feeling this is going to be a low budget affair. Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll ditch the casino set to save money. (Sara Gilbert in that cocktail waitress uniform looked so uncomfortable.)
  11. Steffy may not be a blood Forrester (not that this should matter at all) but she still has the Douglas family claim to the company. It wouldn't exist without Stephanie's money.
  12. One important difference with the spinoff is that they only have 10 episodes to tell this story. That doesn't seem long enough to properly handle fresh grief. I'm sure they could pull it off with a more traditional season but they are going to have to hit the ground running.
  13. At first I hated the idea of adding a Roseanne substitute to the cast but just thinking about the lack of a clear focus for the show, maybe they do need one. The widowers I've known, in my own family and friends, tend to remarry quickly. How the whole family reacts to that could take a lot of pressure off and let the existing characters remain who they are now. (More or less.) Not Sally Struthers though. She's okay in (very) small doses but not seeing her with JG.
  14. Does this make Bill more likely to be Kelly's father? Liam getting 2 kids in one year seems a little far-fetched. (And would they really give Hope a tock after the last time?)
  15. Yep, the first episode is the 7000th episode celebration. It was very weird to see normal Caroline, Aly, Oliver, Deacon and probably other people I've forgotten. I miss BSC Quinn (and Deacon) but not sure I'm up for a repeat of Rick and Maya lording it over everyone.
  16. There are several B&B options. If you see the Season 1 - 2015, you've got the right one. I have Prime so I had to go incognito to see the ad option. This is most likely only available for US viewers. https://www.amazon.com/7000/dp/B07DR31G36/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1529855549&sr=8-3&keywords=bold+and+the+beautiful
  17. Putting on the mod hat to request more focus on the Conners and less on MASH/history of spinoffs. Thanks!
  18. Opening with a post funeral scene versus opening with a time jump - the former would let us meet Jerry and Andy before they sweep them off screen again. The latter would probably be a bit more practical for the comedy aspect. Honestly, if they don't at least let us know where those 2 are, they haven't been listening to the fans at all. And they won't be able to blame Roseanne for it this time.
  19. Ratings-wise it seems successful. Now I just need to force myself to finish watching it. :-) https://deadline.com/2018/06/yellowstone-premiere-ratings-paramount-network-1202415767/
  20. The leads - Roseanne, John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, and Sara Gilbert were all going to get paid for 10 episodes at 250,000 - 300,000 (the number varies in reports I've seen) no matter what. If the new show makes any money at all, they made the right choice. If it tanks, then they've thrown good money after bad. But that's the gamble networks take with shows all the time. ETA: I'm not sure about Roseanne. They might have been able to get out of paying her if they fired her for cause. But no doubt it would have ended up in court if they didn't. Whatever they paid to make her go away was probably worth it for a fresh start with the spin-off.
  21. I believe the articles have been saying that she has given up any claim to benefit financially from the spin-off, so I'd say no. (For a nice multi-million payout, most likely.) The Writers Guild has said the new show will still need to carry her "based on a character created by Roseanne Barr" credit, so she'll still have some presence.
  22. I have no clue how the audience will receive the spin-off but I'm going to check it out. I thought a lot of the revival's best scenes were ones that Roseanne wasn't even in. Dan/DJ and Becky/Darlene really stood out. I don't think the writes will have any trouble filling out the extra time the other characters will get now.
  23. And it's official... https://www.nytimes.com/2018/06/21/business/media/roseanne-barr-spin-off.html
  24. I wish they had gone a bit earlier than the CaRidge era. (Though we'll get to see Misunderstanding Night again, right? I may have to analyze that frame by frame this time.) For those who don't have Amazon Prime, you can still watch free but with ads.
  25. I think a lot of people dvr to watch on their own time - including me. Hoping to get a chance to watch this weekend. Soapy isn't a problem for me but one of the reviews compared it to a zoning committee meeting, which doesn't sound nearly soapy enough. :-)
