  1. I wish we had seen Philip and Elizabeth's reaction to the Brezhnev death announcement in this episode. Poor Annaliese. RIP. Yes, Philip took his sweet old time getting to her! I think he thought he can move things along faster with Yousef with her out of the picture.
  2. I think that it is a common thing for women who had really shitty childhoods especially who had a bad mother to want a baby ASAP. They want to love a child in the way that they weren't loved. Jamie needs to quit pushing Doug and Doug needs to put his foot down! Since we see Dr. Pepper again, I assume she is also giving her sage advice to the couples too. I hope that she is telling Jamie to back off!! Also, I hope, though I don't think it's happening, that Jamie is in intensive individual therapy.
  3. The thing that turned me off about Jeana was her over-the-top defense of Simon. She refused to believe Tarmra that she was emotionally abused by Simon nor that he was controlling. If memory serves, that's what pissed Tamra off so much that she threw wine at her.
  4. THIS!!! Welcome to Co-dependency 101!! Addiction (regardless of the kind) is a family/friend disease and it leaves those close to the addict living a very damned if you do and damned if you don't type of dynamics if both don't get healthy. I think it takes years and years of not just 12-step programs or (secular recovery programs) in addition to individual and joint therapy with someone who works with these types of relationships. Weren't Kyle and Kim going to joint therapy? I thought I remembered Kyle mentioning that or am I misremembering?? My sister is 2.5 years sober through a court ordered IOP after two DUI/DWI and AA. I've gone to Al-anon but we both still have issues individually in our own lives and within our relationship that has roots in growing up with an alcoholic dad and co-dependent mom. It's all very complex then to throw in the insane "stage mom and child actor syndrome," The Richards Sisters (all 3) could be doing much worse!!
  5. Thank you, Mods for allowing us to discuss the real life that is going on in a reality show!! I think talking about addiction and how hard it is to watch in a family member and a place to educate those who (thankfully) don't have to deal with it, is nothing but a good thing. After the limo scene from a few seasons ago, the BH board at TWoP was burning up and people were actually starting to discuss the real life of the reality show and "everyone's favorite mod" shut that talk down very quickly with a stern warning. I'm surprised s/he didn't lock it which was a common punishment. I had posted about my situation with my sister and mentioned that Kyle should go to Al-anon which earned me a warning point (which never did roll off!) and a harsh private message. Thanks again!!
  6. My sister is 2.5 years sober so it hasn't been very long and she had been drinking heavily with it causing major issues for 5 years prior to that. It seems as though Kim has been struggling since her early 20's and being on and off the wagon for years so Kyle has dealt with it much longer than me. I think that Kyle was being protective and trying to help Kim. Brandi has no clue how hard it is to deal with a sibling with children who is in addiction and you are the main person to help since your mom is dead. Our mom is dead too. Kyle feels the weight of responsibility like I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.
  7. People react to narcotics differently if they aren't used to taking them. Even though Kim is an alcoholic and has a tolerance for it, she doesn't for narcotics so it wouldn't have needed to be that big of a dose. I am an RN who gives a lot of pain meds on my post-op unit. It is illegal to take other people's prescription meds also!!!
  8. I would love to see the unedited version of the poker night. I have a really hard time watching Kim and Kyle interact regarding Kim's alcoholism and sobriety since it hits way too close to home. I'm Kyle and my sister is Kim almost down to a T.
  9. The name Julie makes me want to rewatch Burning Love! If any of you haven't seen it, Google it! It's a parody of the Bachelor/Bachlorette. Hysterical. And Lz from Hawaii would be dresses as a pineapple or in luau skirt and coconut top!!
  10. LOL!! Only if he does something about those sideburns!
  11. That would be interesting. Brandi would win. Now, I think Sonja vs. Brandi would also be interesting in which Sonja might squeak out a win. I would also like to see: OC- Tamra vs. Brandi. Winner: Tamra. Especially if there is alcohol involved.. NJ- Theresa vs. Brandi. Winner: Theresa. Because she's Theresa. Miami- Joanna vs. Brandi. Winner: Joanna because she's mad at Brandi because of the the Mohammad Hadid thing. DC- Brandi vs. Cat. Winner: Cat. I think she's a secret spy a la Elizabeth Jennings (The Americans) who can kill with her bare hands. Atlanta- Brandi vs. Porsha. Winner: Porsha. She's already proven she can throw down. Melbourne- I didn't watch it long enough.
  12. I watch too much reality TV. I want to see all of the Real Housewives who are single and want to re-marry (so many get divorced after being on) do a Bachelor-like show!! Maybe Chris Harrison could be The Bachelor!! They are all in a similar age-range.
  13. That's what RS thinks. He has pics to back it up.
  14. That was bad TV!! Jeff is an asshole and everyone knows it. I'm confused why that extreme of a reaction, though I don't want to spoil it for the West Coast!
  15. I am not a "Fandi" (Fan + Brandi) BUT the women retelling it act as though they truly had NO idea why as if they weren't right there. I really believe that she got caught up in the soap opera moment and lost her mind for a second! As more proof, she had just thrown money at Eileen to do it moments earlier too!
  16. Boundary, That's EXACTLY the way I feel!!! I cannot wait!!!!
  17. At this point Bethenny has far more in common with Lu, Sonja and Ramona given they are all divorced and raising a daughter. Ramona and Bethenny are both currently very bitterly estranged from their (soon to be) ex/daughter's dad and there's no love lost between Lu and the Count or Sonja and Mr. Morgan. Kristen- married with kids and stay at home mom. Don't think they'll be close but get along ok. I can see her sparring with Kristen's husband to defend her since he's an ass as a husband. Heather- very happily married with kids though she's also a business woman, fairly quick witted and they may bond over that. Carole- Single, no kids. I think that they will either get along very well or not well at all. She's different and quirky but in a very different way than B is so I'm not sure. She's very quick and intelligent and so is B but I'm not sure how it will go.
  18. I'm watching Ep. 1 & 2 right now. I did not know that DVF is a Princess!! COOL!!!! Stephanie reminds me of Heather Dubrow from Real Housewives of Orange County. Not sure it that's a good thing. I liked Coco better then Kier -though not much more- so I wished that she would've been let go. Kier reminds me of Stassi from Vanderpump Rules and that's a very bad thing!
  19. I LOVE this show!! It somehow reminds of The Neighbors. Maybe because it's new and fresh like living next to aliens!! The Neighbors http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2182229/
  20. It may be no more but so is The Millers so Claudia can be on more. The Millers- Cancelled http://www.spoilertv.com/2014/11/the-millers-cancelled.html
  21. Yawn. The only interesting part is the storyline about Beth's stalker who is also her BFF's lover. I guess she has two stalkers since the one is still in prison.
  22. Like he'll never have taffy, not real taffy.
  23. So funny!!! The one liners are hysterical!!!
  24. My opinion now is that this show and disaster that will be Katherine Heigl's new show are just free peanuts on the bar as I wait for the filet mignon that is The Americans (said with deep reverence) to return in February. It shows the FBI inner workings and doing some surveillance. It showed a maid bugging the SoD's (Caspar Weinberger) house but since it's not really shown from an American POV you wind up rooting for the Soviet spies who look like any white, middle-class mom and dad in a suburb of DC in the early 80's. It also portrays the Soviet embassy in DC in the 80's and flashbacks of offices in Moscow in the 60's which are cool. If you like history, spycraft and government-type shows with a hefty handful of disturbing murder scenes and even more disturbing sex scenes (Hello, Martha & Clark!) and a slightly off family dynamic, then this show is for you!!! I wish MS and SoA could be even half as good!! I don't get why they can't. I'm assuming of course about SoA but I'm sure I'm not wrong.
