  1. That shirt is just wrong. There are tons of maternity shirts out there and that one just looks hideous on her. Another thing that is bugging me about the Duggars is the home haircuts on the men. Derek and Ben didn't look too bad when they first started courting the girls, but their haircuts have gotten worse, and the beards are not helping. I wish they would splurge on a professional haircut, especially for special occasions. It's not like they have to spend $100s of dollars on a haircut; a barbershop haircut is only about $10.
  2. This episode was really good, especially the final fifteen minutes. The subway scenes were great, as was the final scene with Abe, Jo and Henry, and the scene with Abe waiting for Henry to appear in the river. I really like the relationship between Henry and Lucas. I would love for him to be in on the secret (although I'm sure he would keep the secret, there's something about Lucas that makes me nervous that he would slip). This show is just too good not to renew. I agree. I think that if they knew it was going to be cancelled, they would have been promoting it as the Series Finale instead of Season Finale. I also don't think ABC would have gone through the trouble of having Ioan on Jimmy Kimmel to promote the show last week. I wish that during the summer hiatus they would just throw it on on a Monday night after the Bachelor or whatever Monday night show they have and just let the viewers "rediscover" the show, or just do a marathon binge airing where they show three episodes a night one night a week.
  3. I loved those. I will never forget those eyebrows :-)
  4. If they were going to go that route, I would have preferred that they do it in a platonic friendship sort of way (in a Full House type of way). The only thing that interests me about the two of them getting together is where would they live? Would Meredith move her children into the house that she grew up in or would Alex move into Meredith's house and send Amelia to the "doctor frat house" to live with Arizona and Maggie (who I'm assuming also lives with them since she is always there).
  5. I didn't hate the episode, but it seemed very long. I liked the burn patients story and I liked Amelia's meltdown and her scenes with Owen. I also liked the scene with Zola knowing to call 911 and Alex showing up to see Meredith after she had the baby. I was somewhat amused that the baby was named Ellis. I'm guessing that the final scene in the series finale will probably have little Ellis Grey Shepherd graduating from medical school and starting rounds at Grey Sloane Memorial Hospital and becoming the most extraordinary surgeon ever. After all, she is Ellis Grey's granddaughter and Derek Shepherd's daughter. The preview for next week's episode looks pretty interesting.
  6. I didn't hate the episode, but it made for a long night having to watch Chicago PD since I normally don't watch the show. That defendant was very creepy. When he was representing himself and he started making allegations against Nadia, I was beginning to wonder if he was actually going to get away with murder.
  7. LOL. Jimmy Kimmel also had a good time at the expense of Grey's. He had the lead actor of the show Forever as a guest and commented about the show being about a doctor who dies but doesn't die permanently like McDreamy.
  8. I've been watching the early season episodes on Lifetime the past few days. I've noticed more the banter between Bailey and Derek. After seeing these episodes and knowing what happens this season, I am just as interested in seeing her reaction to the Derek news as I am Amelia and the other characters.
  9. It wasn't a bad interview. I think they were limited on time because he was the second guest (the first guest usually gets two segments) and they still had a musical guest afterwards. He came off as very charming (I could have paused the dvr and stared at him for hours along with listening to him talk). Kimmel mentioned the finale when he was introduced and cracked a few jokes about how he dies, but comes back (unlike McDreamy).
  10. Glad that this show has returned. I'm glad that the trial turned out in the widow's favor. I don't trust that sawmill guy. There's something about him that makes me suspicious.
  11. With all of the publicity that this episode has received today, little odds and ends about it keep popping up in my head. I'm guessing that since they were somewhere in the Seattle area, I'm surprised that Derek didn't insist that the accident victims be sent to his hospital so that he could keep tabs on them. Even if they were at the other hospital, I wish that Webber and/or Bailey were called to support Meredith. As much as I liked Meredith's icy tone with the doctors, I would have loved to see one of them raise holy hell at the incompetent doctors at that other hospital. Also, that beginning with Bailey, Kepner, and Amelia on the phone with Derek. I remember in the previous episode that Bailey was talking to Meredith about Derek not making his meeting in DC. Why didn't she mention that she was on the phone with them in the OR and that they lost the signal when he took his "short cut"?
  12. It seems like with Derek's death, she will literally become her mother. Single mother, extraordinary surgeon. She won't have to move around or anything like that because of Derek's career. The only difference is that instead of an ex-husband, she has a dead husband, which will probably make her even more extraordinary than her mother because she overcame the obstacle of Derek's shocking and untimely death.
  13. As soon as she introduced herself as Dr. Meredith Grey, I was hoping that she would throw a line that she was the daughter of Ellis Grey. As soon as they knew that he was a doctor and his name was Derek, they should have immediately known who he was. I'm guessing the hospital is somewhere near Seattle and with the plane crash, shootings, etc., he would have been in the news and other media multiple times. Considering where the accident happened, wouldn't the police officers who were at the scene of the original accident have known who he was and what happened? Someone should have known who he was instead of him being a John Doe.
  14. I still can't believe they went there. I thought EP and PD were great in this episode, but Amelia was glaringly absent in the episode. As soon as they found out who he was, they should have immediately called her along with Meredith. The fact that they mentioned the lack of CT scan makes me wonder if there will be some sort of lawsuit or investigation in the future. I don't know what type of hospital this is, but I wouldn't be surprised if it immediately becomes part of the Grey-Sloane conglomerate after this, if the hospital stays open. Nobody is going to want to be a part of that hospital once it is known that they were medically negligent and part of the reason a world-renowned neurosurgeon (one working for the President) died.
  15. That was heartbreaking. I'm glad that we got some sort of closure regarding Abigail; I hope that we will continue to see her in flashbacks. I'm hopeful that since they mentioned "season finale" in the previews that this show will get another season.
  16. I didn't get the crazy vibe from Michelle in the thrift shop. I got the impression that maybe she doesn't get to do something like that very often, and considering that she was there with the older girls, maybe she thought of it as more of a "girlfriend" type of outing. It could have been one of those things where she was looking for items for Jessa's house, but became more and more excited when she found stuff for herself and her own home.
  17. I didn't hate the Christopher Diaries books. I thought it was interesting to hear things from Christopher's point of view, even if a lot of the story was from the FITA book. Aside from a few comments about Bart, I wish they would have mentioned more about what happened to Cathy's children. The only thing I didn't like about the book was I am curious as to how things are going to roll out in the next book. I haven't read a VC Andrews book in a few decades (I think the last series I read was the Dawn series), but when I heard about this one, it peaked my interest.
  18. I watched Seeds of Yesterday this morning and thought it was pretty good. It has been years since I had read the books and I had to google the plotline to jog my memory of the book. The casting wasn't too bad (loved the guy who played Bart), although for some reason I didn't care for the guy who played older Chris in the last two movies. I would have preferred that they used the actor who played Chris Sr. in the first movie. Lifetime was replaying all of the movies today and I rewatched the first two. Who was the person with the gun at the end of the first movie who let the children leave? Was that John Amos or a random staff member? I really hope they make the final book in the series. Lifetime must have found a goldmine in these VC Andrews books. They could do a series a year and they could have movies for years with all of these book series.
  19. I was thinking the same thing when I read it was Josiah. At least we know what the special announcement for Tuesday's show will be. I'm hoping that since he is only 18 and she is 17, this will be a long courtship.
  20. I wonder if that was just for our benefit and Roland was seeing what he thought was Marion. I enjoyed the episode. I really wasn't surprised by the Zelena twist (once I saw Marion in the hospital room, I knew immediately it was Zelena). The only thing that surprised me was that when they showed Zelena talking to Regina on the phone (especially when they specified 9 weeks later), there was no baby bump of sort. The soap opera watcher in me expected her to be pregnant with Robin's baby just to provide more angst.
  21. Finally watched this today. It had been at least 20 years since I had read the books, so I had forgotten a lot from this book. I remembered that it took place from Bart's point of view and that Corinne had lived next door to Cathy and Chris, but forgot a lot of the little details. I thought that the boys who played Bart and Jory did a good job with their roles, especially the actor who played Bart. I thought the acting in this one was much better than the previous two, with the exception that this one didn't have the grandmother. I really hope that Lifetime decides to eventually make the book based on Olivia's story.
  22. I noticed that Jill mentioned during Tuesday's episodes that at the time of her ultrasound, she was as many weeks as Michelle was when Josie was born. I can't help but wonder how many times Michelle had said that to Jill at that point in her pregnancy. I could imagine Michelle constantly "reminding" Jill of Josie and Jubilee when Jill reached those weeks of pregnancy.
  23. Another pretty good episode. The last few minutes of the episode were great. I also loved the scenes with Abe and Lucas, especially when Lucas mentioned Henry using Jedi mind tricks. You could literally see the wheels turning in Abe's head as to how to get what he wanted from Lucas.
  24. Jessa posted on FB about a friend sharing a recipe for Pumpkin Pecan Maple Scones and that Jana came over and made them for her. Considering the Nepalese meal that she made with Jill, I could see an entire episode of Jana and Jessa making scones at Jessa's house.
  25. A part of me is disappointed that the baby will probably be born this weekend. I was hoping that her due date was off by a week and she wouldn't give birth until mid-April. I would have loved for her to give birth within a day or two of the royal baby just to see them bumped down a bit in favor of the new prince or princess. As for the 2-hour special, I can see them having fun with her being overdue. I'm sure they will document every day of her being overdue for the first half hour or so of the special.
