  1. The episode wasn't bad, but it was probably my least favorite episode of the season. I loved the first half with the Captain Swan date and the Charmings interacting with Emma and Kilian. I don't know who was the prettier of the two, but they both looked very nice on their date. After minimal Elsa and a more Anna-centric episode, I can definitely say that Elsa is the character I prefer of the two (and I have never seen the Frozen movie). It felt like Anna was being shoved down our throats in the episode. And although it was a bit cheesy, two grown men following an animated broom was somewhat amusing. Based on the previews, next week seems like it will be a pretty good episode.
  2. I've seen bits and pieces of the episode in the past, but this was the first time I've actually taken the time to watch the Jubilee episode. One thing that I noticed that when Jim Bob went around to all of the children after he and Michelle told them the baby had no heartbeat, he kissed the children near Grandma Mary, but did not acknowledge her, although it could have just been the camera editing. You would think that if a man had just lost one of his children, he would have gone to his mother for some sort of comfort or to comfort her since she seemed just as upset as the children. Also, at the end when they showed the burial, I noticed that either Michelle or one of the older girls had a strong and pleasant sounding singing voice. I'm surprised that none of the Duggars have attempted to put out a cd of hymns. I'm sure that many of their fans would buy a cd of them singing their favorite hymns.
  3. I noticed a difference in the interaction between Jana and Anna and Jana compared to the other girls. There was a frontal hug between the two of them instead of the standard side hug and their conversation seemed more of a friendship conversation compared to what we see with the other girls. I'm also guessing that Jana genuinely enjoys being around Anna and the kids. There's a huge difference between taking care of younger siblings 24/7 and being around nieces and nephews that she only gets to see every few months (and Anna's kids probably listen and act a bit more respectful towards her than her younger brothers and sisters do). I also enjoyed the interaction between Josh and JD. It was nice to see them interacting without Jim Bob hovering around. I'd love to see an episode where John David "chaperones" Jana on her trip to DC instead of one of the older girls (although they can bring Jordyn and/or Jennifer along to keep Mackynzie company). I'm sure the four young adults would enjoy visiting without all of their younger siblings and parents. I doubt that would happen since they probably keep JD as busy as they keep Jana.
  4. Another great episode. This season has been really good, so far. My only issues with the episodes are that they are going by so quickly. It seems like the episode had just started when it is over. The Frozen stuff was good, as were the Snow Queen scenes in Storybrooke and the town meeting and Snow/Archie scenes. I liked Will Scarlet and I'm hoping we will find out the reason for the fallout between Robin and Will.
  5. http://thestir.cafemom.com/celebrities/178161/why_is_jana_duggar_single Another article about Jana. It seems like everyone is picking up on Jana still being single. I wonder if all of this media coverage will result in Jim Bob rushing to find someone for her so that people will stop speculating that she is being forced to remain single and take care of her younger siblings.
  6. I'm also looking forward to the ALCS. My dad is a Cardinals fan, but I'm so over both the Cardinals and the Giants, that I could care less as to which team goes to the World Series (although I was glad that the Dodgers lost). I'd rather see an American League team win this year. As a Nationals fan, I'm not surprised that they lost in the NLDS. I have a feeling that they're going to be that one team that always makes it to the playoffs, but never makes it past the first round. Their lack of run support has been an issue all season, especially when Gonzalez and Strasburg pitch. They were much better pitchers than their win/loss record. The one positive thing that I can say about this series is that at least Soriano was not responsible for blowing any of the NLDS games.
  7. There's a Pete Rose Sketchers ad that has been playing over and over during the baseball playoffs. It makes me laugh every time I see it.
  8. If, by some miracle, the Nationals win their series against the Giants, I'm rooting for Baltimore so we can have the Beltway World Series. If they don't win, I want to see the Royals in the World Series.
  9. I'm actually hoping that the house is the Mayor's house and not Regina's house. I'd love for Snow to waltz in and tell Regina that since she has been acting as Mayor than she and her family should also have the house. Regina can live at Granny's or the Charmings' apartment.
  10. The episode was great. I liked the friendship between Emma and Elsa and everything Snow. I even liked the flashbacks with David and Anna. Like last week, the episode was very fast paced and flew by very quickly. Looking forward to Elizabeth Mitchell's character.
  11. I like Maggie and I'm looking forward to the story that follows once they get past Meredith's discovery that Maggie really is her sister. I think there is going to be an interesting dynamic, much different than the dynamic that she had with Lexie. I could see Ellis being sad that she gave up Maggie, especially since Richard is most likely her father. I don't know much about the background of Ellis's relationship with Meredith's father (my guess is that she didn't care that much for him), but I could see her feeling differently about Maggie because of her relationship with Richard. A lot of Meredith's identity is that she is Ellis Grey's daughter. Lexie wasn't her mother's daughter, so the dynamic professionally will be a different because Meredith is no longer the only one who is Ellis Grey's daughter, and Maggie's father is most likely Richard, who, despite his personal flaws, is also considered to be a good surgeon. I didn't see the comments of her doing something that Christina couldn't do as an insult against Christina, I saw it more as them saying that Maggie is just as much Ellis's daughter as Meredith is.
  12. I'm a bit disappointed that the show did not get renewed. I'm not surprised because they really didn't do a good job promoting the show when it returned, and there were such long hiatuses between the seasons. It sort of reminds me of when Lifetime cancelled Drop Dead Diva and the viewers were upset because they cancelled it with a cliff-hanger, and they eventually brought it back for another season to tie up loose ends. I didn't care for Elena and her storyline. I watched this with my mom just like we watched the original (I'm 37, she's 59) and when I told her it was cancelled, she mentioned that she did not like the drug storyline (it was too intense for her taste). I'm disappointed because I wanted to see the aftermath of Christopher's "death" (because I doubt that he really died) and the reveal of John Ross's sister. I'm hoping that there will be enough outcry that they will at least bring it back for a shortened season to tie up loose ends.
  13. I thought the episode was good. I liked Maggie and how she called Meredith out on her not liking her because she wasn't Christina. I liked her scenes with Jo at the end and I liked the scenes with Amelia and Bailey. I was surprised that they had her tell Meredith that they were related so quickly, although I'm somewhat glad they did because the sooner they resolve it, the sooner they can move on to other stories with the other characters. It does seem like there are too many characters on the show and they have to try to fit everyone in every day. I'm glad that they finished out the story with the heart transplant family; I'm hoping we won't have to see them again.
  14. I noticed that Michael Socha's (Knave from the Wonderland spinoff) name was in the opening credits with the rest of the regular cast. Did I blink and completely miss him in this episode?
  15. I didn't hate the episode. I wasn't happy about the Frozen stuff (never saw the movie and probably never will), but I thought it was well done. The episode seemed very fast paced. I couldn't believe that it was over so quickly.
  16. Really enjoyed this show. I hope it's not another new show that I get hooked on that gets cancelled after a month
  17. I'm 37 and have been dealing with acne for years. My dermatologist suggested Cetaphil acne cleanser and prescribed Solodyn and a prescription acne cream. It has worked wonders.
  18. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHQcdvqWuM8 This Oscar Mayer commercial makes me laugh. The older couple cracks me up.
  19. Could it have been the other way around? Even though they just announced it, the family might have known about the pregnancy for a while, especially if it was going to be on the cover of People Magazine. Maybe Jessa wanted to "one up" her sister by announcing her engagement at the same time as the pregnancy announcement since Jill beat her to the altar even though Jessa was the first sister to start courting.
  20. I found the editing of this somewhat strange. I watched the RR show on Friday and I thought they performed in a different order (I deleted it off of the dvr, so I can't go back and check). Also, Lenny had a tip about cooking rice in the oven that I don't remember seeing on the Food Network show, probably because they had to mention that he split his pants. Are they not allowed to use slow cookers in the food challenges? Loreal could have easily suggested a meat dish cooking in the slow cooker during the day that would be ready to eat when they got home (pot roast, pulled pork sandwiches, Italian beef sandwiches, etc.) instead of the complicated meal that she presented. Also, I noticed there was a sausage in the pan with the veggies. Did she ever mention if that was part of the meal since she was cooking chicken?
  21. I didn't hate the episode, but it seemed like they could have used an extra hour for the finale because too much time was focused on the legal cases. There was a huge difference in the actors who played Grayson and Ian. The actor who played Ian just had a bit more personality. I never disliked Grayson, but when watching the last scene with the flashbacks, it was almost like "oh yeah, there was another actor who played Grayson". He was just completely forgettable compared to Ian (out of sight, out of mind). I was half expecting Stacy to see Deb's face in that last scene with Jane where she said that her eyes were blurry and she was going to close her eyes for a while, especially when Owen said that Stacy was acting a bit strange due to the medication.
  22. I feel so sad for her. When I think about what I had accomplished in my life at her age (college graduate, job, marriage, owned a home, about to give birth to my first child), it makes me sad to think that she is at home practically raising her parents' children.
