  1. That bothered me too but I wonder if Galecki actually had surgery and they had to write it in.
  2. Great episode dealing some needed heavy handiness to the issues Corpsmen are having transitioning to the public sector.
  3. Someone on the internet dissected them awhile ago and they were all correct down to the alternate routes. I would have loved to see one covering the 405/22/605 closures or Carmegeddon. Apparently Fred Armisen wrote Californians, so maybe I'll get my wish if he comes back to host.
  4. I'm just going to hope The Californians comes back. I know it's a pipe dream since many of the participants are no longer on the show. But as someone who is from the area and takes all those convoluted freeway routes it's frelling hilarious.
  5. I could see it being "Off with their heads!"
  6. Torbin Bell will never not be Jigsaw. I cannot watch anything with him in it and I can't even listen to him speak. I watched Stargate SG:1 long after it ended. He's in a couple episodes. The first time he showed up I freaked out a bit and promptly turned the show off.
  7. I'm a recovering SVU watcher and only watched this week because I had laundry to fold and couldn't find the remote. Don't know or care about what is or isn't going on between Amanda and Amaro. What really bothered me about this entire episode is they had to call Holden "on the Spectrum". People who are legitimately "on the Spectrum" get such a bad rap already they don't need this too. They could have just gone with a sociopath who fell through the cracks, or a thousand other scenarios.
  8. Unless the sound cut out and I missed it, I don't think that's what she was doing with it. I thought she was going with "big shoes" (and it seemed Tony turned it sexual with big hands as it faded out). I really enjoyed this episode. I wonder if this is an exit path for Ducky. Reconnect with an old friend, move back to England, available on video chat.
  9. Exactly. And while Penny did nothing wrong and is being nothing but nice I can see her getting down to the cattybitch level real fast. It was a rough road but even Penny and Pria came to a mutual disdain for each other and they had a much better reason than this to dislike each other. I wish their original interaction didn't even lead to this discussion. Let's just all be adults. Raj should have told Emily the truth to start with but Emily needs to grow up. She should watch this forgotten TV gem Supportive Women
  10. I hated that too. I wish they showed that two women, one who happened to have a drunken "hook up" years ago with a guy (and never had anything but platonic feelings before, during or since) and is currently engaged to one of Raj's best friends could be friends. It's called being an adult. If Raj and Penny were in a serious relationship, or long-term hook-up buddies then I could see Emily being uncomfortable until she got to know Penny and see that neither Penny or Raj were in to each other anymore. But that's a moot point. They're adults, it was a one-time thing that happened years ago. Let it go and move forward. It's also Raj's fault for exaggerating the extent of their "hook-up" and he should be the one trying to fix the situation, not Penny. Edit because their and they're are not the same.
  11. I didn't get an attraction vibe between Vance and the Nanny. I did get a mutual respect and friendship vibe from them. I appreciated actual, previously seen flash-backs over one-off off-screen memories that leave us wondering if we just missed an episode.
  12. A 10 y/o would know how to use Instagram :p (sorry, I couldn't resist). I hate Twitter, deleted my account. I had an Instagram before it was popular, refuse to sign up again, or retrieve my user name. Facebook is good to manage my beer-league sport social life and play Candy Crush. And see when my friends have adorable children moments (none over-share, they're all really good about it). I have a Galaxy S3 that I use to watch TV at the gym, use navigation, check email, manage my social life and... you guessed it.... play Candy Crush. Oh and Wordfued. I have a Kindle Keyboard that broke, I replaced it with another Kindle Keyboard. I like the keyboard and e-ink. I kinda want the new Nexus, I think having an Android straight from Google would be fun.
  13. This to the nth degree!!!!!!!! Every time NCIS gets taken down by an external piece of hardware I start yelling at the TV. When hard-drives fry because an incorrect password was entered into the machine I'm wondering why they didn't remove the damn drive and use a reader to view the contents! For such a high-tech lab they're missing essential basic equipment. Otherwise I have no complaints about the episode. I like it when long-running shows circle back to earlier days. I don't read spoilers or casting info but if Ari is involved maybe we'll get to see Ziva. I just don't want an appearance to bring back angsty Tony. Let's see them happy to see each other but at peace with their history (professional, personal, whatever, just at peace with it).
  14. I'm offended. Just kidding. I don't care but someone on the internet must be offended by something at all times. This was my turn. I hope I passed. There is a the "re-watch planning" thread. While it's just the 3-4 of us now maybe that will get some more visibility for your proposal (otherwise, be Nike and just do it!)
  15. Comtrya! We were doing season at a time, thread wise. The thought behind it was to allow people to jump in whenever without having a super thread or 200+ little threads. There are already threads for seasons 1-4 but since the re-watch kinda fell off the crazy train feel free to start threads for season 5 and beyond and post whatever thoughts you have. Or episode threads. I do think spoilers were kinda being used to reflect major plot points in future episodes in case there newbies reading along. But that's just my opinion.
  16. I love that commercial. I think the speed and sharp turns are all in the girls head. When they do the pull away it looks like the dad is driving fairly slow compared to what she is pretending to do.
  17. I have a friend in the Air Force and she posted a picture of herself with cake for the Air Force's birthday. I bet General O'Neill had something to do with the cake provisioning.
  18. I'm not even gonna lie and say I'm bored at work. I was reading last night (but my reply was sucked through the gate). I'm also just excited to see this forum going again after the initial TVWoP membership drive and rewatch!rewatch! [crickets] I'll stop sounding like a fangirl now... That lipstick is insane. I used to wonder about it all the time on TVWoP. I want to know what brand make-up she wears because it's always flawless. And damn that lipstick sticks around!
  19. Clearly. I bet you have it on a loop for background noise. I'm really glad you understood what I wrote up there because I read it again and holy Hannah is that convoluted! I apologize to all the grammar freaks out there. So many thoughts, so little time (what, you want me to work at work?!) Some instances of calling Sam "Sam" were completely appropriate but generally calling her Sam didn't give the respect her rank and title deserved. Yes, she had to prove herself, probably more than a male "Sam" but that's how life works (crappy dialogue aside). Later on calling her Sam would have been fine but he had to go all CARTER! on her. I'm more than happy to fan-wank it away as UST prevention (but did it really prevent anything)? maculae I also really want to say that I love the long analysis posts. It's something that deserves mad props, more than just "liking" it will give. Please keep it up. (edited to prevent grammar freaks from curling up in the corner)
  20. maculae I'm not really sure, did you enjoy Hathor? <weg> So many questions, I don't think I can ever rewatch it (except maybe to see tubs of shrimp). Nothing dates a sci-fi show more than actual technology. There are several laptops with the blue lid (Dell 1100) in our storage closet (no, my company does not get rid of anything). Back to Fire and Water and Jack calling Sam, Sam.. To me, calling Sam, Sam instead of Carter, her rank or title implied Jack wasn't taking Sam seriously as an officer, doctor or member of his team, in the beginning. Because she was the only other USAF member of SG1 calling Sam, Sam later on probably wouldn't have been so seemingly disrespectful when things seemed more casual off-world and I wouldn't have looked twice. It was noticeable that she only called him Jack in but by then there was all sorts of UST and I can't think that choice was unintentional
  21. I'm just stopping here by to say watching parents of the man with Downs Syndrome burn his doll body was absolutely heart-breaking.
  22. I'd hazard a guess that it's Blake Shelton (who is also on The Voice). I laughed so hard I choked.
  23. I ditched out on cable about half way through the season and couldn't bear the thought of having to watch Elliot's drivel or Keith's tantrums just to get some bites of the TB and CM. If they could arrange an appearance by the Megaladon I'd be watching every moment of every episode in anticipation.
  24. First I want to say to maculae awesome post. I read it, loved it and hope you spend time to share more. I'd really love to read your thoughts on Shades of Grey (when you get there). kassygreene I still want to retire to that house.
