  1. I found this for MLife / AT&T but I cannot find any actual video without subscribing http://www.coloribus.com/adsarchive/tv-commercials/mlifemobile-telecoms-belly-button-3775355/ Maybe if the image looks familiar it will help you
  2. Through Charter I can select my internet speed and pay accordingly. I actually have the lowest speed and it's fast enough for me to be on general internet stuff and stream. The take-away I got from the TWC commercials is "Mike" has the fastest package and all these other people are too cheap to upgrade their speeds. I never had issues with TWC or Cox but had a bunch with AT&T. Charter is alright (so far, been two years, knock wood) but I only have internet from them. No cable for this gal.
  3. I read back a bit and haven't seen this Time Warner commercial mentioned (I can't find it online). Basically all the neighbors go to one house (Mike) to use his high speed internet because theirs sucks and his is fast and supports multiple devices. Drives me crazy. Get faster internet people! What sets me over the edge though is the kid (maybe 12 or 13) who wants to use "Mr. Mike's" internet to play online games because theirs isn't fast enough. My mom would have kicked my ass in to next week if I even thought about asking someone that. And FFS, why doesn't he just say no?! I'm way more worked up about this than I should be. Oh, and I'm in Charter territory so it's not like I can switch anyway.
  4. I got teary eyed for both of them, and for all other kids who, IRL live this life.
  5. Like I said, I'm about as Jewish as Howard. I was always told Holocaust survivors were the exception to the "law" and really never looked in to it further since obviously I don't care. But my experiences in life (which seemed similar to Howard's fictional upbringing) are the reason that those scenes didn't bother me. YMMV.
  6. For what it's worth, I'm about as Jewish as Howard and my parents are about as Jewish as his mother. My paternal grandfather was cremated. No one sat Shiva when any of my grandparents passed away though my mom did wear a torn black ribbon for the length of time. I my ears pierced, when I was kid (also a no-no to be buried in a Jewish cemetery) but my mom was livid when I got a tattoo because now (vs when she modified my body with ear piercing) I couldn't be buried in a Jewish cemetery. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that how they handled Howard's mother didn't bother me. (and really, it avoided any fat "jokes" with a giant coffin).
  7. I really enjoy when Penny and Sheldon get to spend one-on-one time. I feel it helps Sheldon grow, as little as it is. I was hoping the key unlocked the zombie. But in the end, much like Halloween Haunt events, they can't touch you so as long as you keep that in the back of your mind there is no threat and shouldn't be fear.

  9. I hear that. I own a boxed set of a TV show, was watching it on Netflix (then Prime) and had it set to record every time it was on. Because sometimes reaching for the Roku remote was hard.
  10. It may be cheaper (when compared to legal fees for cutting someone) to buy the boxed set. Amazon often has it on "gold box" special. I understand that sentiment. I cancelled Netflix when they didn't renew the contract with MGM to keep Stargate: SG1. I'm only watching now since they gave me a month free trial. But I am very disappointed to learn it's no on Amazon Prime.
  11. I just started my own rewatch but I'd love to watch and discuss. I wasn't really venturing into these corners of the internet when TWW aired the first time.
  12. Aww damn, I remembered wrong. Regardless, I don't recall unnecessary drama and angst in their relationship. I'll see if I'm right by the end of the re-watch.
  13. Indeed. I stole the term from someone on TVWoP or Buzzfeed. I forgot how early Danny and CJ started their dance and I forgot how much I enjoy watching adults navigate dating in a complicated situation, without constant angst.
  14. I watched TWW during its original run but haven't watched it since. When it started I was in my early 20s and it was my alterna-life getting me through the events of present. I even wrote in Bartlet for POTUS one election. I started my own re-watch. I am up to episode 11 and so far every single one has resulted in a visit of the onion ninjas. I'm currently watching Take Out the Trash Day (with the hate crimes bill) and I wonder what this Administration would be saying about gay rights now.
  15. I've been doing my own re-watch and decided I needed to start a thread with this title. Mainly to ask, prior to season 8, did we ever hear of "Johnson, something or other" from the CIA or was she nothing more than a plot device for Jack & Sam?
  16. I figured out Neil was going to live when he shot the dummy. Also, it's a USA show and I figured they wouldn't actually kill him off. I loved White Collar, flaws and all. I don't watch USA shows for anything more than fluff fun and I'm glad the show wrapped up with a 'happy ending'. I interpreted Peter's smile to mean he's happy his friend is alive and in Europe but he isn't going after him. Au Revoir, White Collar.
  17. Watching the rerun and I am super annoyed that Abby clicked that stupid button before unplugging the machine from the network, disabling the wifi and for extra safety, disconnect and unplug all the wifi routers. I don't usually have issues with her but Abby should have been be way smarter than that.
  18. This, so ,much! I felt like I missed a story line with the nurse and Wendell otherwise it looked like they got to know each other while he was in treatment, had a date and a quickie. Then she turned in to that girl who wants everything right away and looks at the guy like he's the evil one if he doesn't. To make her even worse, she doesn't even acknowledge that Wendell has been through a lot and even though he's in remission he lost someone he knew, and still must need to process feelings about what he, himself went through.
  19. OMG how do I get one and does it work? I find myself unexpectedly unemployed and I've turned to SG1 for comfort, again. SG got me through my unemployment last time (that lasted nearly a year and I was able to watch all of SG1 and Atlantis and finish the day SGU aired). I'm already half way through season 5 but I fully admit I am skipping episodes I don't like.
  20. Wow. No pesky DHD, to use while being fired upon!
  21. Live from the West Coast The [lack of] age gap between Wendy and Peter Pan is distracting. I guess it makes the unrequited love* Wendy has for Peter Pan less awkward? *I don't remember that from the story but I could just be forgetting things. It also seemed that Walken's Hook was a lot less animated than the rest of the pirates and that he was phoning in a lot of the dance moves.
  22. Unless there's a third version (that I haven't seen), the guy came home the next morning. No reset, just a long pause for us to wonder then the reveal that he spent the night at his buddy's (or "buddy's") place.
