Well, we (the Ducks) did not deserve to win tonight. I am not the sports fan that wants the team that beat me to win it all. I want them down in some flames! So Go Tampa Bay!
  2. Not surprisingly, the re-watch fizzled out pretty quick. I find most people have seen seasons 1-5 a bunch of times through various re-watches but haven't watched the later seasons since the re-watches always die. So I propose for the month of June we start in season 6. I know it's the season of Jonas but it's only 1 season. Or we could start in season 7. What say you?
  3. I'm going to revive the Great Watch Planning Committee thread.
  4. The [now defunct] Great Re-Watch Planning schedule says June is season 3 and this thread is season 3. But hell, the whole thing has been dead a year. We can do whatever we want. What say you? http://forums.previously.tv/topic/2261-sg1-the-great-rewatch-planning-committee/ The [now defunct] Great Re-Watch Planning schedule says June is season 3 and this thread is season 3. 5. A wise man once said "God created man. Man destroyed God. Man created dinosaurs" I'd be more impressed with the new mega-sauraus if it was shown jumping from its pool to swallow a megaladon (which would also need to be brought back from extinction). SnoGirl - I'm hoping the T-Rex is the same one from the first movie. Sure, we're 22 years later but living on an island with no real predators... anything is possible. This is an interesting site with the series movie canon timeline. I don't remember a lot of the little details - I think it's time for a marathon! Shannon L. Costco tickets are good for opening weekend and cost less than matinee prices <wink wink nudge nudge> New official trailer. It shows more of the new dinosaur and different clips.
  6. I love you. Inquiring minds want to know: Will Chris Pratt seductively pose on a table sans shirt after being bit in the leg? Will another truck be pushed over a 100ft ledge that was level with the road a minute prior? Immediate sink hole? I hope it's OK that I post something about Jurassic Park here because I find thinking about the original just gets me even more excited to watch dinosaurs fuck shit up. The internet agrees with #9! http://www.buzzfeed.com/briangalindo/15-questions-jurassic-park-left-unanswered#.rqqL0KgwM
  7. Thank you Athena! I am stupid excited for this movie, have been a huge fan of the franchise (plot holes and all) since Jurassic Park.
  8. I love The Columnist Barely Boot from Express. They are pricey but no more so than Gap or Banana Republic (depending on sales). I did find different fabrics fit differently - a faux denim was super snug while the same size in other patterns fit great. Regarding tights - I'll throw my vote to the Target tights. I live in SoCal and all my regular Target haunts have them year round on an end-cap. I'm not easy on them and they seem to last a very very long time.
  9. I think it's the chemistry of peoples nails. I can't wear Julep or Formula X because they chip in a day or two of non-heavy hand use. I can wear Zoya for a week without issue. I also have crappy luck with "no chip top coats". They seem to make the polish chip even faster.

I'm so glad I found this section of the board! But here I also found my two mortal enemies irarelywatchtv36 and SugarHigh. I also completely agree with JTMacc - OT is totally awesome when you aren't emotionally invested. I made a new hockey fan due to OT during the Flames v Canucks series. Do I get a toaster*? *a real one, not a Cylon.
  11. Jack In the Box knows its audience very, very well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=15&v=xK72veVF9uk
  12. So we're almost in June, a year later. Anyone want to pick up where we left off?
  13. Who let the damn onion ninjas in? I must go move all my investments to Wells Fargo (not really but damn did that not get some major good will from me). And yes, I am ignoring the whole never met the child before or perhaps it's a fostering situation thing. There was a huge event recently (in the last 2 years, I am blanking on it) where people were huddled around computer monitors to watch it happen. If the Mars landing happens during the work day I can people may not run to the nearest TV but they'll be watching it live at work via their work computer or mobile device. If companies are smart they'll prepare for a short disruption in the work-day to witness this historic event.
  14. I thought Steve asked after they said hello and before he had to run off to save the day. But I could wrong; after all, Steve was shirtless. And I actually may be confusing this episode with the finale, I apologize if I am. See: Steve shirtless.
  15. I didn't see it posted (but could have missed it) - I love the commercial where everyone is stopped, silent, watching the astronaut take one ginormous leap for mankind on Mars. It also makes me sad that everyone is staring at their own digital device alone-together instead of being huddled around, together. Sadly I can't say for certain (without looking it up) who its for (It's U-Verse, I had to look)
  16. To parrot the rest of everyone YES! It really does take about 6 episodes to get going. And those Muppets... let's just say lock your doors so the onion ninjas don't sneak in and make sure you are up to date on your teh feels vaccinations.
  17. Probably too late but I usually sell my old electronics on Amazon. I keep things in excellent condition, keep the original box, headphones and chargers and I usually get a pretty good price for it. I've used Gazelle and sold through Costco (which I think used Gazelle) too. If they are super old and you don't think you can get anything, you can generally find a box at any cell phone store (and maybe Best Buy) to donate and they go to abuse/battery shelters for 911 calls.
  18. Woah. Now I need to rewatch the entire series in it's chronological order. I found this EW article with links to the movie Los Bandoleros as well as the order: Back to the movie... I couldn't tell early on what scenes were CGI and what was Paul Walker. Towards the end it was really obvious and the dialog was very wooden. I know things aren't filmed in order but in my head since Walker died about half way through the filming it was the last half he would be missing from. All in all, it was a fun action romp that punched me right in the feels.
  19. Yes, yes he is. This series really endeared me to The Rock.. That's what I thought but I was really starting to wonder if I missed a movie since I didn't remember the back-story of Statham's character.
  20. Did I miss a movie where Dom and Letty got married?
  21. kat - I think you worded it perfectly. Bernie has evolved from strong and confident into bitchy and a bully. I've seen the same thing happen IRL too and maybe that's why it irritates me so much now. I so want that TARDIS. At least it went to some member of the gang, even if it will never be seen again.
  22. I am a woman who loves Star Wars, Star Trek (TNG), Stargate, Dr. Who, etc.. I was ambivalent towards Bernadette until now. Now I hate her. How dare she make Howard get rid of his TARDIS and you could just tell by her "sure we'll discuss it" that it was gone. It's not like it was taking up valuable real-estate in the garage.
  23. I cannot get Press 'n Seal to work. Ever and now I really, really want it to work! I'm not sure if this should go in the smoking thread or this one but I'm really enjoying the anti e-cigg commercials. The music is catchy enough for you to look at the screen and the commercial moves quickly that you keep watching. Now, hopefully it works.
  24. I just started this and E01 bored me. I hated the first 4 or 5 episodes of BrBa and walked away until friends badgered me into watching it so I'm trying to give it a shot. I didn't pick up that Cinnabon was a flash-forward and thought it was one of the BB "baddies" until I came here. I do like that they started at the end of the journey and hope they end this series at the start of BrBa
  25. I remember that! That damn catchy "you have the rightyightyight to say no! no! the right to say no!" got me grounded for saying no to my parents. Well that and D.A.R.E and Nancy Regan always telling me to say no. Apparently I was a jerk. But it also taught me that hanging out in dark smoky skate parks was safe and drug dealers were selling their stuff from trash can lids. Scrambled brains had a much bigger impact. But yes, now I would like them with a side of bacon and a cup of coffee.
