  1. I made a similar green bean recipe for Christmas this past year, but it was a major Pinterest fail. First of all, I used fresh green beans, which I thought would have been better. But after I wrapped the little bundles in bacon and brushed them with a maple syrup concoction, I baked them and they turned out to be a mushy mess and the little bundles of green beans wouldn’t stay together. I deleted that pin!
  2. That’s why I also turned it off after 5 minutes.
  3. I never could understand why Derrick didn’t just go back to school to get his graduate degree to become a CPA. It should have been easier for him since he had the undergraduate degree already, would have probably taken less time and CPAs make good money!
  4. Lauren’s hair looked better on the farm than it did on her wedding. The braid and messy bun looked really cute.
  5. Did they say 400 people attended the wedding? The seating area didn’t look like 400 to me. Maybe more like 200.
  6. Are those dried flowers on the piano? If so, she must keep her bouquets ad infinitum.
  7. Ok, this is funny... a custom tiny home in Bradenton, FL was stolen out of someone’s backyard. Police are asking everyone to be on the lookout for someone pulling a tiny house down the road.
  8. I agree! Maybe to stay on the air, they had to manufacture some drama and Meri volunteered to be the rat. Surely no one could really be that hateful and stupid in real life. Right? Right?
  9. I’ve tried to research if the Dream House in Mexico Beach, FL (early 2000s) survived Hurricane Michael. That’s the house my husband and I filled out the entry form every day and wanted to win. We loved the area. Does anyone know the condition of the house now?
  10. Is this the same Thrive that “what’s-her-name” on Sister Wives touts on her Instagram?
  11. Just for TV, I wish Josie would have gone to Kleinfeld’s and tried on the Pnina stripper, corseted bridal gown. Kelly would’ve had the vapors!
  12. Tim Tebow is now engaged to a former Miss Universe. So sorry, Jana.
  13. I, too, looked up the real Ice Hotel after watching Winter Castle. After reading someone’s blog who stayed there, it seems it’s really only a one night stay kind of hotel, not a whole week like the movie lead you to believe. First of all, there are no doors on the rooms and NO BATHROOMS! The blogger said once you get into your warm sleeping bag at night, getting out to use the bathroom is a huge ordeal. Guess you have to dress and go outside to a whole other building. She also said when she awoke the next morning, she found out several guests couldn’t take it and left the ice hotel in the middle of the night for a normal hotel.
  14. I don’t have a computerized toilet, but I do have an add-on bidet to mine (or as we call it, The Bu** Washer) and let me tell you, that’s the best thing since sliced bread! When we travel, we really miss our toilet. I would love one that squirts warm water, then dries you! But really, there’s many articles that report how good they are for you to clean that area of the body. I wouldn’t be without one anymore.
  15. Saw a commercial last night for their new season and Zach has really lost a lot more weight. He looked great.
  16. I’m that Grandma too. My grandkids are 1100 miles away. I see them only 1, maybe 2 times per year. Thank God for FaceTime. But I’m like Bill’s Mom, just getting to hold them is the best thing for me.
  17. Two things I noticed at the end of the episode.... when the fish guy was knocking on the front door, the door was a darker blue/gray but at the end when Bill was showing his Dad and step-Mom the house, the outside of the door was more of an aqua green color. Also , the original house had a railing going up the front steps, but now there’s no railing. I don’t know about anyone else, but when I’m climbing steps the height of Chich’en Itza, I need a railing to hoist me up the stairs.
  18. “Those 2 things can’t happen at the same time, mandatory means you have no choice doesn’t it? It seems mandatory when it comes to evacuations means “we wish you would leave but of course if you choose to stay that is ok too”. Makes no sense. “ In Florida, when a mandatory evacuation gets called, it means it’s in your best interest to leave. If you choose not to go, you have to be able to take care if yourself and first responders will not come out to rescue you if their lives are endangered. I believe this rule was put in place to preserve the lives of first responders when people make foolish mistakes.
  19. Yes, a very cute movie. I loved all of Autumn Rieser’s vintage clothes. I especially loved the replica of Jackie Kennedy’s famous pink suit. I read many Jackie biographies and recently finished “The Pink Suit” by Nicole Kelby, a fictional story of the making of the suit, but based on truth.
  20. Regardless how ridiculous this lady’s reasoning was about dark countertops, I absolutely hated the way the interior designer dismissed her preference for the countertops (once again “white on white will lighten it up!). I had a designer who talked me out of the countertops I wanted in my bathroom, I absolutely hate the ones I got. She made me feel my taste wasn’t good, when in fact I’m entitled to what I like!
  21. This might be somewhat true of the house next door to the Klein’s, but there are many large beautiful homes in their area, since it’s rather exclusive. This is pretty common around here in the older, higher class areas. Older homes, although very nice, are certainly not as ostentatious as newer builds. Many times those older homes are bulldozed down to make these huge mansions. Another thing, because these newer homes are built up over garages (to keep them from flooding in case of hurricanes), it makes them look grander. Some of the older, one story homes are very lovely.
  22. It’s Abbie’s hand. Her arm is going under JD’s arm and her hand is grabbing his elbow.
  23. I agree. With CGI nowadays they could take a handful of people and make it look like thousands. It looks so silly when they have the town’s Christmas tree lighting ceremony and only 30 people are there, when, in reality, you know the whole town would turn out!
