  1. I loved the normal home life too. The kids were so much better behaved. My oldest son son was like that, too. Well behaved at home or school, but take him somewhere special, he'd turn into this monster child I didn't even know! One time he was so bad when we went to Disney World that, if it wasn't illegal and I would have been put in jail, I wanted to leave him there. Let Mickey deal with the tantrum!
  2. The entire street level are garages. When you're on the water in Pinellas County in FL, you build the first floor up high to protect against storm surge in hurricanes (kind of like built on stilts, except much more elegant).
  3. I'm thinking the reason they got such a large home is so they have "private " areas and "filming " areas. I looked at the interior pictures of the house on Zillow and there's a lot of rooms. I know we only saw interior shots when the brothers came over before they and Bill left for Houston to check on the blue house, but time will tell if we're allowed to see the rest of the home.
  4. My husband wants to get rid of our land line too. I'm also not a big fan of cell phones. All I can think of is that I'd have to carry it around all day! What if I have an outfit with no pockets?! Do I carry it in my hand all day? Most of the time, my phone is in the bottom of my purse and I don't hear it ring. Seems like way too much trouble to me.
  5. I find it odd that apparently the guys were told what color tan shoes to wear with their suits, but the girls could wear any old shoes? I've been in 15 weddings and I was always told what kind of shoes to wear; everything from dyed to match satin pumps (see how old I am!) to strappy white sandals with at least a 2-in. heel. Never have I've seen such a variety of shoes.
  6. After a couple of days with no electricity or water, thanks to Hurricane Irma, I finally was able to view things on my DVR and rewatch Love on the Sidelines. I know many of you did not like the movie but I thought it was very cute. The lead actor didn't seem stiff to me. He seemed like an aloof, egotistical football star who mostly thought of himself and his injury. And Emily Kinney was adorable as the non-sports-minded assistant. She isn't a drop dead beauty like most football players might go after. Which is good because the lead was able to see her inner beauty and brains first, then see her attractiveness. I also thought all the supporting actors were very likable. I'd definitely watch it again when it's repeated.
  7. Because of this embarrassment, do you think the rule now (for all Duggar births) is showing them from the neck up? I'm sure they don't want anything like that to happen again. The Duggars may not have realized how exposed Anna really was until it was aired.
  8. I just don't get the reason why so many women post their feet! Someone please explain it to me. A friend does it all the time, bunions and all. Gross!
  9. I usually love all of Lacey Chabert's movies, but Moonlight in Vermont was only so-so. However I was very excited to see an advertisement that Lacey and Brennan Elliott made "All of my heart-the Sequel". Yippee! That's my favorite of her movies.
  10. I just watched An Uncommon Grace and thought it was very good, even if the ending seemed a little rushed. It was much more the caliber of a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie than Love Locks ever was.
  11. I'm not on any social media (FB, Twitter, etc), so please someone message Derrick that (like others have already said here) he has exercise induced asthma. The same thing happens to me. And now it's probably progressed to food sensitive asthma. The only exercise I can do without carrying my inhaler with me is swimming. (Doesn't D have a pool?) The doctor said it was because the humidity of the pool coats my membranes so I can breathe. It also helps to breathe through your nose, not an open mouth.
  12. If they are filming a movie in the summer, I can not understand why they can't make the setting in Florida or S. California. Fake snow looks ridiculous! I live in Florida. We have Christmas here....we really do.
  13. The blue box under JB & M's pew was a box of Kleenex.
  14. I, too, was disappointed in A Mistletoe Promise, however, after reading here that it was based on a book, I checked it out. The book was great.
  15. My thoughts, for what they're worth.... 1. I don't blame Jessa & Ben for bringing help to babysit. Running after kids when you're PG is tiring. Izzy doesn't really know them and probably won't listen to them, so extra hands to corral him would be helpful. (Why didn't they put a baby gate across the stairs? Surely there's an old one in the "warehouse ") 2. Didn't Jessa once say that she prefers the smaller house because there's less to clean? (We've seen in the past that she can't keep even the smaller house clean) 3. I think we don't see the in-laws often because a lot of the events are restaged for TV. When the other side of the family comes to visit, I'm sure the cameras aren't around. I know I wouldn't want to be on their show, with the chance of criticized by viewers!
  16. Ok, so I'm looking at the houseplan and visualizing it as Robyn's layout. Obviously she has the master downstairs and probably made the office/exercise room the shared room for Sol & baby. Dayun probably has his own room; Niece Mindy must have her own room. So either the 2 teenage girls are sharing a room so that Aspyn has a room, or Robyn has the 5 bedroom plan which would give each teenage daughter their own room. Regardless, I'd sure hate to clean that monstrosity.
  17. At least it looked like Jill cleaned up her kitchen, sort of.
  18. Here's my hospital story. A few years ago, my husband had heart surgery and was in the cardiac ICU, where you can only visit 10 minutes each hour. In the cubicle next to him was a lady on her death bed and her WHOLE family (at least 50 people) were keeping a vigil. The nurse shoos me out to the CCU waiting room, where this family is having a dadgum family reunion, loud, laughing and food tables everywhere. I couldn't hear the TV, couldn't hear my pastor praying with me...they weren't even nice enough to invite me to eat. I complained to the nurses about the cacophony, but shoot, they didn't care, the family fed them! This went on for days! I did write a complaint letter to the hospital administrator, but never heard back from him. I was wimpy back then, nowadays I would have complained more forcefully.
  19. I wish they would interview Christine's mom as to her take on on the entire situation. She once was a part of it all and now is not, so I bet she has some insights as to what's really going on.
  20. I'm watching an old movie (2001) on Hallmark Channel and Eric Close is married to Kimberly Williams. They had a special needs daughter and he left her. He was such a stinker in this movie!!
  21. I think Ethel Kennedy had about 5 c-sections and that was nearly 50 years ago. I,myself, had 2 c-sections and that was enough for me, especially after my incision became infected!
  22. Is "spoiled sister of the football player" going to expect her brother to pay for everything she wants even when she's married? She'll drain his bank account dry if he doesn't put a stop to that attitude.
  23. Obviously, Christine's mom is into sewing. Maybe she could help Mykelti with her dream of being a designer.
