  1. Wow that was an episode. I think after Clifford's speech to Archie in ep 9 about how Jason would never stand up for Clifford the same way Archie was for Fred was kind of big sign pointing at Clifford being the killer. Despite it being obvious, I still think it is a good selection. Damn they went with the incest angle. But what the hell Hal? How many times could you have told Polly that Jason was her 3rd cousin before they had sex? Also when trying to convince your daughter to have an abortion, the fact the child is a product is a good reason that she should know about! Oh Alice batshit crazy Alice, never change. So are we to assume based on the one sided phone call that Jughead's mom didn't want him coming over? Also could this also mean that it may not have been his choice to stay in Riverdale? Cheryl ask Polly for the room number of the place she was locked in. After all this I think you could use a summer locked up walking in the tranquil garden. What kind of operation are you running down there Sheriff Keller? I mean you let Betty just walk in and visit with Jughead a few eps back and now Clifford is able to have a private conversation with a prime murder suspect. Also you let a woman claiming to be FP's lawyer in to see him despite her not really being his lawyer. Mary may have been on to something. Had one murder and now all of sudden people are dropping like flies in Riverdale. I do wonder if the new mystery starting next episode and leading to next season was kind of teased with Betty in the preview saying something like something wicked comes this way.
  2. I have to wonder why no one has made the most obvious connection between Hiram-FP-Jason. FP giving Jason the drugs for the drug run wasn't just some good deed to help Jason out. It always felt weird but after hearing that the Blossoms got Hiram arrested, it makes sense. This was going to be Hiram's revenge. I think Jason was going to get set up and get arrested for drug trafficking. So Hiram would pay the Blossoms back for putting him in jail by putting their son in jail. Alice did you really think FP was just going to sit there and allow himself to be grilled by you and not fight back? And let's face facts he isn't the one hiding his past. Blossoms drugging Polly. Yeah like that wasn't going to eventually happen. Seriously Polly you think they had something to do with Jason's death yet you take food/drinks from them. You really are a Cooper. Veronica, I know you just found out that your father was a shady businessman but jumping to murder? There are a few steps between them. Archie you know how you didn't like Jughead not telling you about FP being a SSS, this is kind of why he didn't tell you. Wow one murder and Riverdale is less safe than Chicago. Watched the episode off and on due to draft. Will rewatch later and see what I might have missed.
  3. I also wonder if Jughead's speech about not being wired like other people is kind of a first hint that the show may eventually go the asexual route with him. I doubt that it will also be aro but can see this as a first hint about him being ace. This way they can still tell an asexual Jughead storyline but allow him to have romantic relationships on the show (or maybe they just keep it to him having these feelings just for Betty) The show has been kind of conservative in regards to the teens having sex with each other outside of the whole Archie/Grundy thing. It doesn't bother me much with Archie/Veronica this episode as a quick hook up probably would not be good for the bigger A/V/B triangle. However, in previous episodes I did agree with others who thought the show missed out with Veronica and Chuck not sleeping together as it would have been a possibly even more powerful message in regards to slut shaming.
  4. That was fun. As someone who isn't a birthday person I totally understand the desire for no party. The whole dance/cheer off not sure what else to say except thank you Riverdale. Don't mind Veronica and Archie kissing this ep. They have been kind of dancing around this since the first ep. Also did like it seemed like the show was making it clear that kissing was as far as they went. Glad the show didn't just have Cheryl's creepy incest vibe feelings towards Jason go unacknowledged. Happy that it was finally said out loud and glad it was Veronica. Yes we need the parents flashback episode. I mean Alice as a SSS that is genius. Also loved that her paranoid mind jumped right to the correct assumption about Joaquin. Need more scenes with her and FP. Have a bad feeling that everything is pointing towards FP being next person arrested for the murder and even more unfortunately it looks like Betty along with Veronica may the people who dig up the evidence that gets him arrested which really won't help Jughead get over his doom and gloom attitude.
  5. Way to go Archie, you are part of the origin story of the world's next supervillain, Cheryl Blossom. I can only imagine the carnage that she is about to unleash. To one of the above posters, I am not sure where we ever saw Jughead okay with what Archie was doing even if it was getting info for Betty. Sure he used the information that Archie was giving him but he never approved of what Archie was doing no matter the reason. This show is not doing a good job of disputing South Park's premise that gingers have no soul and are creepy. Seriously that whole scene with the Blossom clan going to tap the maple tree was very creepy. Oh Polly you dead. You are dead. Seriously do you think that you are getting out of the house alive and with those kids? But you are a Cooper all emotions very little common sense. Liked the continual layer peeling of Hiram Lodge. I am really anticipating when he comes to town. Fred not sure you going in for yourself is admirable or the beginning of a downfall for you. I understand wanting to stand up for yourself but standing in between the Blossoms and Lodges is not really a good place. Liked that we are seeing Veronica in the midst of her trying to be a better person and seeing the struggle. However, agree that we really need an episode with her being the main focus. The scene with Betty and Jughead in the blue and gold was probably the best scene of why they work as a couple right now. Betty is able to vent and share her fears with Jughead able to calm her down and support her.
  6. Hell with just cutting out the baby. Would anyone be surprised if next week we see Polly tied down with the elder Blossoms (including grandma) performing some kind of Satanic ritual to induce birth? Always one step forward two steps back with Archie. Think for a minute man before you do things. Oh and stop with the damn looks in regards to Betty and Jughead. Fred showing up at Thornhill to confront Clifford and then the following scene back at the construction site were probably the most Dylan Mckay that Luke Perry has played Fred this entire time. 'Well in Riverdale they say Alice Cooper's small heart grew three sizes that day.' Nice to see Alice not be so one note this episode. Her conversation with Hal was definitely interesting and wish we got more details. The more I see of all the parents the more I want to know their history. The remixes of old songs and how they are using them are killing me. The use of Our House during the beginning of the baby shower was hysterical. Liked the little history of Jason and Polly at the beginning of the episode and still no lines for Jason. Though after hearing the actor on a podcast, somehow the voice doesn't match what I imagined he would sound like. This was definitely a heavy Archie and Fred episode so not much of Jughead/Betty and Veronica but still they were great.
  7. Yeah I wasn't sure what to make of the fight at first. However, I see where Maul wanted death by Kenobi once he learned why Obi-Wan was there. That was why he asked if the person Obi-Wan was guarding was the chosen one because he knew that he could die in peace knowing that the Emperor would be defeated. Deep down I think we have seen that Maul's real need for revenge was on the Emperor and not Obi-Wan.
  8. Have rewatched the episode and a few things stuck out with me. First Betty why would you sit on the inside of the booth and allow yourself to be cornered by the Blossom family? I was hoping she would pull a Polly and jump out of Pop's window. Skeet did a really good job of playing a guy who clearly has been an alcoholic for an extended period of time. He looked like he was practically having to shakes when he tried to stay sober for barely a day. I also found his reasoning behind why he did some of the shady things he did to be very consistent of a lot of people who try to justify the bad things they do. Basically he had it harder than Fred because he had one more child so he had to do bad things. Also only mentions being bailed out one time. Fred's take of course was that it wasn't just one time before he actually let FP go. There were also a couple things that Fred said that were interesting or actually the way he phrased them. He mentions that FP stole supplies and sold 'stuff'. The way it was phrased didn't necessarily mean that the supplies were what he sold or at least all that he sold. So I wonder just how aware Fred is of FP's Serpent affiliation. Then at the end Fred tells Archie that he has his skills (making fake work papers) and FP has his. Does this mean that Fred has this before and if so under what circumstances? Archie, I am liking you more now that you are being brought in more to the central plot but seriously stop with the damn looks at Jug and Betty when they are acting somewhat couple-y. Loved the creepiness of the beginning scene especially with how off Jason/Polly looked and then the duel head tilts by Betty and Alice. Not worried about the show being able to find its way after the murder mystery is solved. I think the show has been given signs of possible stories to come plus we need to see how the murder mystery resolves because the resolution itself could create a main story that moves the show forward.
  9. Definitely agreeing with the praise of Lili's performance and of Betty as a character. I don't know if she is the best acting wise of the younger cast but she definitely has the most expressive face. She conveys so much without saying words. It did take a couple of episodes for me to really get behind the character though. I think the writers have done a good job of showing different sides to the character than just the standard girl next door. She has hidden layers. Some a bit dark and some adorably quirky. (Have to be honest quirky blondes on a CW show do usually become favorite characters of mine ie Chloe on Smallville and Felicity on Arrow) Even after episode three, I still wasn't counting her as a favorite. Sure she looked hot and a little psycho but wasn't liking her as much as Veronica and even Cheryl. Episode 4 was the turning point. Her investigating Grundy and the scene where she breaks into her car really was the moment she became a favorite to me. I also think her being around Jughead and Veronica mainly now helps. She works well with them both. Also I can't help but laugh each time I see the moment where she adjusted her ponytail before going to visit Polly. Her expression was so serious and it was like she needed to adjust the ponytail in preparation for battle.
  10. I don't think Archie was there at night. I am presuming that it was the morning and if it was Archie was probably there if the football team has before school practice. Yet again the Lodges tete-a-tete was overly dramatic but still more healthy than anything by the Blossoms or the Coopers. I am really curious who they are going to cast as Hiram. Okay kids not a good idea discussing private matters in a student lounge. Of course, the secret of Polly was going to come out. Oh Sheriff Keller I was giving you credit last week for being a good dad but you had to mess it up by being a bad TV cop. Seriously interrogating a minor without parents being there again. You did the same thing with Cheryl in episode 3. Interesting info about FP/Fred. Can kind of see both sides. Also was kind of hoping that their band was going to turn out being called the Archie's.
  11. First time watching live and posting here. Enjoyed the episode. Don't really have a problem with Archie. He does work well with the other cast members. Though I do think he needs to be involved more in the main mystery plot because his side plots aren't nearly as entertaining as the rest of the show. Also if you want to become a musician learn some freaking musical history. Seriously not knowing who Dylan was. Amazing Veronica's mom actually asked Veronica to sign the forms before she forged Veronica's signature. Figured she would have just forged the signature to begin with. Also amazing that forging your daughter's signature to help your possible new lover doesn't even crack the top three of worst parental actions in this episode. Archie's dad continues to be a good parent who encourages his son which makes him tied with the sheriff for probably the best parents in town. Have enjoyed Betty with each passing episode especially some of her dorky/quirky qualities. I laughed when adjusted her ponytail before going into the place Polly was kept like she was preparing for battle. Hoping we get a good Veronica-centric episode soon.
  12. Oh definite trainwreck. However will say that HP was good. It made me think that she could really shine with better material and that she is being wasted on GH. Or actually the fact she hasn't been featured more on GH is a waste.
  13. Just back from seeing the movie and it was definitely a good addition to the SW-verse. Definitely a fitting prequel. I agree with the poster above with wanting to see the original cut. Liked both Tarkin and Leia in the movie. Didn't really notice too much bad CGI. This Vader was definitely more like the OT Vader and Anakin but there were still little bits of prequel Anakin. There was the bad pun after force choking Krennic that was definitely something Anakin would say. Also seriously living on a lava planet that screams emo Anakin. While I like the flaw design being explained, I can't help but think Galen couldn't have made it a little easier for the Rebels to get to?
  14. I liked the episode. I agree that we don't need any more poor Maya episodes. Definitely felt the episode was missing an appearance by Shawn. Auggie as young Shawn looked good. I think he kind of looked like the young Shawn they had in flashback in an ep of BMW where Cory and Shawn first met. Yeah Lucas leaving like this really doesn't do much to make his relationship with Riley seem that big of a deal. The show really is minimizing it. Not that I mind. Almost have to laugh at this because they also have Riley make this sacrifice out of love for Maya while comparing it to a Christmas story of a couple in love. The gifts were sweet but a little too well thought out. I wouldn't have minded Zay and Riley's gifts been the only real thoughtful ones and have the others be just nice regular gifts. Also yeah I did notice there was no Riley gift. Riley's OTT-ness this episode didn't bother me as part of a single episode because you could make a case it was partially an act considering the ending but of course this is standard Riley so yeah. I did like Riley this episode. She does need more serious moments, Rowan has really improved.
  15. Maybe it is just me but did Savitar look like Megatron from the live action Transformers movies? I think that GG and CP have really good chemistry but I am just so tired of Barry and Iris. And I think there is a couple of problems. First there was the whole growing up in the same household. That started them off on the wrong foot but could have been okay if only Barry didn't annoy me when he is with Iris. His whole I wouldn't be a hero without you bit just seems so over the top but looking back the show has seem to be making it that Barry does seem to constantly need Iris to reassure him for Barry to succeed in whatever problem he gets in during the week. As I said I don't have a problem the actors together because I enjoyed them as Earth 2 Barry/Iris and I liked their chemistry when Iris was into the Flash but didn't know he was Barry at the beginning of the series. Yeah not getting a good feeling from the looks Caitlin gave Barry when he told her that he was responsible for her getting powers because he was screwing with the timelines.
  16. Enjoyable episode. Didn't drag on and there is enough mystery that makes me want to keep watching. Agree that most of the characters that I am feeling anything for are the hosts. Hopefully we do get to see humans that are trying to be good. I do wonder where they are going to go with this premise. I can see how this works as a movie but a tv show does worry me some. Hopefully they have enough story and it doesn't drag or stall during the season.
  17. Yeah the show has to move beyond GRRM. The show was always going to have a limited amount of seasons so they had to tell the story and couldn't keep waiting. I did like Jamie's disgust with Walder and basically telling him that the Frey's were just a joke. I almost laughed when Walder was saying that 'Frey's and Lannister's send their regards'. RIP Margaery you shouldn't have gone out that way especially since you were the only one smart enough to realize it was a trap. The High Sparrow deserved what he got for his smugness and for underestimating the level of crazy that Cersei is.
  18. Lady Lyanna verbally bitchslapped the lords of the North. Agree with the poster that it was really fitting that we transitioned from one Lyanna giving life to Jon and another Lyanna helps make him a king. Nice confirmation of R+L=J. Also interesting that honest Ned probably had the most well kept secret in the entire 7 kingdom that not even Varys or LF knew. Cersei is horrible with her plans. Her father was right, she isn't as smart as she thinks she is. She got over on the Tyrells and the HS but lost her son and possibly her brother/lover. She names herself Queen with an entire kingdom that will probably be against her. LH did look great though. Speaking of looking great, even though her scene was pointless, Gilly looked lovely. Poor LF he really has bad timing. He wants the Iron Throne, well he has played the game well but dragons change the game. If it was just Cersei he could have a chance but not with Dany coming. Nice scene with Dany and Tyrion. Couldn't care about her and Daario though. Arya serving Walder Frey his sons before killing him was almost perfect. If she had been humming the Reins of Castamere at the same time it would have been perfect. Knew Jon wouldn't kill Mel since she did save him but glad he did banish her for Davos's sake. Also liked that Jon had no anger or bitterness about Sansa not telling him about the Vale soldiers. Liked that they both had a moment to smile with the start of winter. Long time since the Stark's smiled. I wonder what the intro is going to look like next year. The stag is gone and now the lion rules the Iron throne.
  19. This may be a completely random and unimportant thought however, after the last episode many people commented about the intro to the finale changing to add the Stark sigil over Winterfell again, I couldn't help but wonder. If the spoilers are true at leas with Tommen dying and the part of Kings Landing being set ablaze will the intro to begin next year be completely different? Technically Tommen is the last of the Baratheons so will the stag be gone especially the one with the crown? Will King's Landing be like Winterfell was for a while with smoke coming from it and no sigil? If Cersei somehow is in charge will the Lion now be wearing the crown?
  20. Decent episode. Was a little weird that Katy seemed completely different from last we saw her. She had been trying to make an effort to be there more for Maya but now this episode she is pushing Maya off on the Matthews. I didn't mind the premise of the episode as it is actually a turn that makes sense. Maya trying to be more like Riley is something that works with the character that we know so far. Hell Maya liking Lucas or at least starting to like Lucas because Riley liked him makes more sense on screen than Maya always liked him and just buried her feelings because Riley liked him or that Riley only liked Lucas as a brother. I groaned when I saw the jelly beans. I usually don't mind the callbacks but this annoyed me. Not sure why.
  21. Sad about Rickon but kid you got to zig and zag. Jon being trapped under the bodies was too claustrophobic for me. Jon did make a lot of mistakes however, I liked the end with him charging after Ramsey blocking each of the arrows. Yara was definitely hitting on Dany who didn't seem to mind. Theon is just going to get crapped on by anyone he knew. Now it becomes interesting to see how Winterfell gets ruled by Sansa and/or Jon. Sansa has LF and the Vale while Jon has the Wildling and Northerners.
  22. Lambert seriously you want to try to manipulate Shaw again. What were you thinking? You have to have seen those over 7000 sims. How many times has she killed, maimed, or done caused you some kind of bodily harm in those sims? Then the one time she didn't hurt you, you actually manipulated her into killing an innocent person. What did you think she was going to do? She was going to hurt you one way or another. Wonder how Shaw is going to make it back to NYC from South Africa? Liked the little detail of the breaking news of the outbreak on the truck's radio as proof that this wasn't a sim. See Jeff this is why your girlfriend didn't want to get back to together with you. I am wondering when and how Finch is going to blow. He seems to have one agenda and everyone else seems to have their own that are in conflict with him. Also I am worried about Fusco. He does need to know the truth or at least more of the situation.
  23. Have rewatched the episode a couple of times to really get a good idea of the episode. I really liked it more each time I saw it. Yeah there were obvious signs that this was a simulation. Most of which others have already said. I do wonder if this episode will play into how the rest of the season goes. I think there may come a point where Shaw will accidently or maybe under Samaritan control hurt/injure Root.
  24. Really enjoyed the reunion with Jon and Sansa. Glad at least two Starks are together. It was interesting watching Sansa convincing Jon to go fight for Winterfell. Also liked the Bastard letter being used here. Yes to Tormund's falling for Brienne at first sight. The looks he was giving her were hysterical. Did enjoy the reunion of Theon and Yara. Not sure what to really think about the other plots but hopefully they will start moving in more interesting directions. Re: Jon saying your(Sansa's) father. I don't think this is unusual for Jon at least not BookJon as he usually made distinctions between him and his 'trueborn' siblings. Can't remember if in Season 1 Jon did the same thing. Also loved Ed's reaction when he noticed Tormund looking at Brienne.
  25. Seriously ALIE did you honestly think you were going to make Clarke crack? Abby should have known that hanging herself wasn't going to work. Abby watched her husband get floated after turning him in and Clarke is her daughter.
