  1. I'm so sick of seeing Amy be so pathetic again, begging for a scrap of affection from Sheldon. Sheldon acting like a selfish dick to her for an entire episode is not redeemed by a half-hearted "You know I care about you, Amy. Come to Mars with me" at the end of the episode. It's the same every single time. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
  2. I've seen a bunch of the Subaru dog commercials, and they're adorable.
  3. Maybe we'll luck out and she'll snuff Raj during sexy funtime and we'll be rid of him. I don't expect people to snoop through my things either (then again, I hate to "entertain," so no strangers in my house. I also don't snoop in other people's homes; it's an invasion of privacy (especially if you're trying to build a relationship with someone). If I could, I would totally go on a one-way mission to Mars. To paraphrase Dr. Stephanie, "they told me I could drive a car on Mars." I liked how Leonard and Penny held hands for Sheldon and Amy's big announcement, as if they needed each other's strength because they were afraid Sheldon and Amy were going to say they were ready to have sex.
  4. While I have always enjoyed Ellie and Travis's interactions, there's no way they were having an emotional affair. They are friends. I'm sure couples share things with their friends that they don't share with their partners and vice versa. Not everyone is over-sharing Jules Cobb. Loved that Ellie admits to putting butter in Andy's food because she likes him husky. ITA, Ellie. I've always thought Ellie and Travis were the smartest people in the room; it's a shame they made him a loser tied to a white trash baby mama. That's some law firm Ellie works for -- out of the workforce for years, but able to jump right back in, telecommute, and set her own hours. Almost zero Tom, which was a plus, until they ruined it with his patheticness again, this time with the alpha moms.
  5. That kind of proves my point. Raj wouldn't date anyone he considered beneath him. They did a whole episode (or plot B of an episode) where he's out with the "girls," and while he admits he developed crushes on Penny and Bernadette, he never did on Amy. Why? Because as presented in the show, Amy is unattractive. I stand by my dislike of Raj.
  6. Those are definitely two of the creepiest characters on "X-Files" (especially when we see Donnie in his demon form), but one of the most disturbing "X-Files" is the episode with the Peacocks -- the one with the inbred hillbillies.Another old creepy scene was in "Knot's Landing" -- one of the characters had her throat cut by her ex-husband.
  7. I watched Alice in Portland and her search for a tiny house, and I realized that they're not giving us enough information. She had $50,000 for a house, but she was having it built. Since it was being built for her in a workshop, it had to be carted somewhere. Did the $50,000 include the price of land she was going to buy or lease space on? It didn't appear so, but I would have liked an explanation. Do the home buyers' budgets represent the cash they have to pay for a tiny house. (I realize the San Francisco couple probably didn't have $600,000 lying around, but did Alice have $50,000 cash for her shed?) Also, the one she chose to have built was just ugly. It looked like a giant burnt black box. Some of her style choices for the inside -- like the exposed electrical boxes -- just didn't make sense. The second house was really the most appealing, even if it was over budget. The hobbit house was cute, but the sleeping arrangements were awful, and the giant glass door -- while interesting -- seemed to afford minimal privacy (unless there were blinds or curtains I didn't see).
  8. Yes, she's a right old bitch in that commercial. She wastes her parents' money on a huge wedding, she breaks the heart of a man who loves her (and whom she supposedly loved), and she's a coward for not having the courage to break it off with him in private. So, "Dior: Hurt those you love so you can live your life selfishly. And you smell."
  9. He's an emotional Black Hole of Calcutta. He's a jerk to women when he's drunk. He's judgmental and dismissive to those women who don't meet his standards (i.e., aren't supermodels). And how do we know he throws great parties? The gang seems to avoid them like the plague. Raj could leave and I wouldn't miss him.
  10. Could Hoda and Kathie Lee have been anymore obvious? i thought this was a weird episode. Steve's friends were right on the money when they told him that saying "Fuck you" to his mother changed everything, and Francine was great in portraying that hurt. Why was Hayley so needy and useless all of a sudden? We've never really seen that behavior before to that extent, nor have they indicated that she would take advantage of Francine. Stan's excitement over the ensuing family drama was fun to watch, but not so much his descent into madness. (Although props to his line about getting a chair with less of an erection.) Did Roger even really have a lot to do last night? It didn't seem like it. It seems like they were all over the place, with characters acting inconsistently based on their previous behaviors. So far, it just seems as though "edgier 'American Dad'" means a few swear words slipped in to dialogue.
  11. "And her shins go on for inches." Also, did anyone notice that Gayle had "pooping cough" in Tina's story? (At least that's what it sounded like.) I think Tina captured Gayle's personality the best.
  12. Caroline's constant "I'm a Wharton graduate" while showing she's the worst businesswoman in the world is one of the things that made me stop watching this show. I would agree, based on the few episodes I've seen lately. It's like Caroline has let Max drag her down to Max's level, instead of wanting to pull Max up to hers.
  13. True, but didn't Courtney Cox also play the editor of a sleazy tabloid (I think it was called "Dirt" or "Dirty")? That's pretty much as far away from Monica Gellar as you could get.
  14. I think she was lying, because it would be like Louise to deny watching it. (Although that must mean the Belchers have HBO.) Her story was too similar, but I agree, either way, it was great (Louise did seem to have an odd fascination with Gayle breast-feeding everyone). I liked that she didn't have a sword but a slapper (or whatever they called it). I think she incorporated the most of the secondary characters. Tina's story was the best, for me, although her fascination with boys' butts borders on creepy. And she's not afraid to mix genres, so good for her. Gene's was the most straightforward, but also fun.
  15. She's also good as Mabel Pine in "Gravity Falls." But I agree, in real life, she's annoying. Plus, half the crap she was quoting as good grammar wasn't.
  16. Matthew Perry will always be Chandler Bing. Even though he's playing Oscar in the new "Odd Couple," I still see Chandler.
  17. I love how weird and full of life those Belcher children are. I enjoyed all the stories. I was disappointed too. I guess Scott Bakula is Gayle's crush, while Tom Selleck is Linda's. Can't argue with either of them.
  18. What was the point of this? Plus, is Kristen Schaal in everything?
  19. I know Sean Penn's a d-bag, but he's still kind of hot. I laughed when he called it the "geriatrics with guns" genre; I think it showed he had a sense of humor about it. I liked all the other guests too, including Kelly Clarkson (she was great on the pilot episide of "The Crazy Ones," Robin Williams's sitcom).
  20. I'm going on the assumption it was a limited-run series, like that new Ryan Phillipe series starting on ABC tonight, so there will never be a resolution to the open ended stories.
  21. I hope they release this show on DVD. I don't usually buy TV shows on video, but this one I would. Plus, my cable froze for most of the penultimate episode, so I missed Chef and Gwynne's plotting to poison the court. I only managed to catch it on demand.
  22. Maybe Ama came to the US illegally, and that's why she has a "keep your head down, don't make waves" philosophy? Maybe it's a secret she's kept from her children?
  23. A lot of people were delusional over at TWoP. ☺ I've never thought Raj was attractive. And the fact that he keeps mentioning how rich his parents are, especially in relation to getting girlfriends makes him a douchebag in my book.
  24. I meant the ones where he was lead: "The Finder" and "Enlisted."
