  1. You know those matching 14 foot drapes and furniture cost like private plane money back in the day. So if it was her parents home that girl comes from money. WTH? Just clearing out the tivo and there is a pop'd HH? I've not seen this before but it is very irritating. Does anyone know if this is a repeat that's been pop'd (like pop up videos in the olden days when MTV played music)? We had stripper pole, house like I grew up in, virtually every HH cliche.
  2. He owned a temporary employee business. I know that area and the house they sold was worth much more than the house they bought. I did see a for sale sign, Century 21, in the yard of their lake home. I can't imagine ANYONE willingly moving from that lake to a non lake property. People turn garages into bedrooms when they outgrow the house just to stay on the lake. They weren't moving out of the area either. I noticed that all the furniture matched the drapes. That's pretty dated so I can't imagine actually buying the furniture just to have it match the drapes. Now as these things go the indoor pool means 12 months of pool instead of 6 months of pool. But the walk to garage in the winter? They get a lot of snow through the Finger Lakes so these people are just plain crazy.
  3. He also had a line of huge wigs made of foam for Halloween at Target. I'm amazed at his ability to find his way in the world without losing his aesthetic. The wigs were just so Chris March and I noticed they sold out fast.
  4. There are so many instances of wealthy parents not leaving their fortune to their children and not out of malice. Buffet isn't leaving money to them. He is an investor in his son's farm and gives money to his foundation. There was a documentary by one of the Johnson and Johnson heirs and two of the heirs he interviewed said, no will money. I know that I will get a top education and a start in life but I also know that I need to make my own way. I wonder if that was the reason for the sliver of her father's fortune. I wonder if Tori knew all along what the dollar amount was. At one point this season she actually said 'my father wouldn't want me to live like this'. So if her father was alive she would be begging money. Perhaps the problem with Candy is that she says no. In the limited media exposure that her brother has it seems he got the same amount of money and is doing just fine. Seeing how twisted things become in Tori's needy mind I wonder if we ever know the real story. I honestly believe there was $800,000. But I don't believe it was punitive on her father's part. The rumor out there now is that Candy has set up nice trust funds for her grandchildren. That Candy has offered to pay school tuition but Tori won't tell her were to send the check. Seems like she doesn't trust Tori. And now we all see why that is.
  5. When MJ pointed out that during the initial break up she was painted as a bitter, old, infertile hag was dead on. Tori was telling everyone that would listen. So I really think that MJ showed up to reclaim who she was. She knew that she was dealing with a mental m***** and that what she was saying was the truth so it was easy. And Dean's reaction? She's going to make me the bad guy. Why Dean, because you're the good guy and she's the bad guy? Can't he leave a marriage without making the person he left 'the bad guy'. Tori seems to rewrite history. I think her relationships with her mother, her father, her ex are all more myth than truth. And every time something happens that exposes the truth she is overwhelmed. Her relationship with Dean is the one we all get to see. Imagine the truth in her other relationship.
  6. Lucky for me because I won't need to pay my insurance since you'll be getting some.
  7. You know they've stopped closing each other in the closet and giggling. I miss those closet shenanigans.
  8. I like the Tanya girl as well. What a great grandfather and what a tribute to him that she is actually go forward with the dream he had for his 6 granddaughters. I am always interested when they talk about how great someones designs are. I admit I don't get the jewelry praise. It looks very ordinary. Nice but I've seen it before. I totally get the upstate lady. Those pieces are fabulous but what makes them fabulous also makes them one of a kind and labor intensive. It's not a business that will ever have volume. I like the hat lady too. So this season I'm all about the accessories, well with the exception of the purses. How did she get to final ten? Oh dear Grey Aunt, why don't these people let me answer the questions. They need to hire a second in command that is the public front to their brand. Why didn't they say that when the panel said you two suck? Because they don't want any interference. So they won't make it to an award. Tanya should have told them she needed them to mentor her expansion that just having the money doesn't mean that you want to just throw it around crazy like.
  9. I notice that when Shane is defending how collaborative he is that he keeps referencing how he didn't throw out the script and work collaboratively with the writer. He said this a couple of times and I see it in the article he did. So the writer, Dan, slams Anna's script and declares Shane's superior. And now Shane is pointing to his work with Dan as proof that he is a collaborative person. Early on in the series Shane thought he would be a coauthor on the script with credit. I think that first time script writer Dan and first time director Shane became BFFs. I think they really have no idea how the big time movie business works. And the two of them talked themselves into some bad decisions.
  10. This is from the AVClub which has done a number of items throughout the series. This is his wrap up on the finale. Pretty interesting. http://www.avclub.com/tvclub/chair-outside-bubble-211607
  11. Mischievious, well we know I'm in MN and that Sandy is in Houston. And it turns out we are now in the thousands of crashes so I'm surprised we have anything on tv. I did make it back to see the hipster declare the standard deadbeat mantra of 'I guess money means more to her than love'. Yes you are not hot enough for her to support.
  12. Interesting article. I'm happy that STARZ got the viewship they needed to discuss Season 2. I would definitely watch it again. I would like them to choose Mpls for the city so that I can stalk CMoore. JK, kinda. It sounds like we will see the actual final numbers. I am shocked that it was close. But then I was shocked that subscribing to a youtube channel did not translate into ticket sales. Or even iTunes downloads. It was like $.99 on iTunes and it had good downloads but not 6 million. I know most tween girls can come up with a dollar to watch their hero, so that is interesting. And it appears I have some therapist to blame for CMoore getting all mellow on me. Hopefully there will eventually be a melt down of the volcanic type if The Chair continues.
  13. ARRGHH! Apparently a little snow and 200+ car crashes is considered important enough to interrupt POG Marquea and his wife!
  14. I need to watch it again because I already forgot how to pronounce gala.
  15. And we have a winner! http://www.people.com/article/ben-affleck-matt-damon-project-greenlight-winner-jason-mann
  16. I loved the spirit of the mom packing up all the girls to go to the community pool for showers. The youngest being all excited to go for a walk in her stroller. That could have been a miserable event for the kids and she seemed to be a grown up about it so that the kids saw it as a big adventure.
  17. Oh, oh, oh! I know the answer to this one. I know someone that reno'd a house in Edinburgh. In older structures there are lots of limitations on where electric goes. They had the choice to downgrade the kitchen proper, like the range, or to use the pull that they could get in what used to be a larder that was next to a staircase and therefore had the space to run electric. My friend explained that kitchens were the hardest since everything needed electric but you wanted to have enough left over to plug in a tea kettle etc. She said it wasn't that odd all over UK in large older apartments.
  18. Didn't Moore say at one point that The Chair itself had been incredibly successful. I hope that means they made money and STARZ made money and they'll do it again. Favorite Moore moment: When he was saying that Not Cool had the worst reviews he'd ever seen in his life and he was laughing so hard he could barely say it. That's why he's my husband.
  19. Shane waited for a bit as well. You know like 8 hours after they started yipping he told them to stop it. Then the second Victor made a joke at his expense Shane started with the cyber bully and we're too classy for that. Victor just wasn't sophisticated enough to see the set up. There was a lot of the standard stuff you see when folks think they're entitled and you're not. Before the finale he warned all his girls that people were going to be really mad at him and say hateful things but they should not engage cuz they were classier than that. I watched and I didn't see anything on Shane's feed. It looked like no one cared. Just out of no where, anyone skeeved at 25 year old Shane signing boobs on 15 year olds?
  20. So I am pulling into a parking spot in front of the CVS. Dude is walking to his car and not paying attention. He is walking straight at my car. I stop. 2 ft from my car he jumps and then starts laughing. I rolled down my window and told him I wanted him to walk into me cuz I was going on Judge Judy to swear to god the pedestrian hit me!
  21. I know a subscriber to Shane's channel on Youtube. Yes, I know people that are 14. She got two different DMs about how to answer questions. She said the second one had a lot more questions on it like maybe they ask from a random pool. She said it was answers for both movies so that you didn't need to watch either.
  22. No, I think they thought with Cris Moore's guidance that Shane would turn out this generation's American Pie. Or maybe the art house style disgusting that John Waters used to make Baltimore famous. When the first cut was done - they saw what it was. I think the article was an attempt to distance themselves from Shane in the real movie community. They want to work again. Disingenuous is Shane still acting like he doesn't have a prior relationship with CMoore. He says that on twitter all the time. Anna knew the producers. Yes Shane and you knew CMoore. Now he's cut and edited a piece where Quinto is saying something was funny along with Quinto saying something was disgusting. And THIS is proof! Yeah right Shane. Stick to 13 year olds because reality tv has taught me about edits so I don't know what you're selling. And cyberbullying? There was one joke by Victor at Shane's expense. One tweet deleted. Kinda like the joke IN Shane's movie about Quinto's eyebrows. He's an entitled little boy. He needs to grow up. He needs to be self-aware enough that when he sees his selective memory telling him lies, 'I never yelled at anyone', that he attempts better. And right to the final cut he wants everyone to pinkie swear not to say anything bad to him about what he wants. Let's just give all the little kids a medal for participating. Winners make losers feel bad. Ack, I just can't with him. And all this is after I watched 9 episodes. It was his twitter behavior, his shading of the truth, his juvenile whining that turned me off.
  23. Well I didn't say he could win this contest. He was interviewed when Hugo came out about the process he and his team went through to make his first 3D film. He said then that things like color, new lenses, 3D, CGI are natural evolution of an art form. He predicted that in no time he would be making movies for the internet. So watch out Shane Scorsese is coming for you.
  24. Let us not forget Scorsese has an editor. One that has worked with him for most of his career. That's all Shane should need to know
  25. I noticed that twice CMoore tried to get Shane to let a professional edit the movie. Offering at one point that the he just needed to look at it that he didn't need to use it. I think he thought there was a better movie in there and that a professional could get it done. Big mistake. This movie will get him online gigs but a professional cut might have gotten him a film.
