In N Out has a posted menu, but you can have special orders. Example: "Protein Style" which has no bun and is lettuce wrapped, extra meat, as seen in the posted photo, there is a term for meat only and no veggies, there is a term for veggies only. They will fix your food however you want. You just have to learn the lingo. Or just tell them. They are very accommodating and take special orders in stride. Edited to add: Google In-N-Out secret menu guide.

Christine Brown Woolley: Nacho Sister Wife Anymore
CalicoKitty replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
And then a while after the surgery, Christine encouraged her to run across the room and jump into the Christmas tree. -
It's a locker room. Anything goes. Personally, I don't wear shoes anywhere in my house, so the thought of shoes on furniture is disgusting. But a guys locker room? I'm sure things more disgusting than shoes have ended up on that table. Right next to the snacks.

Unfortunately, Jill's group is not the only group that believes this. I know a woman in my town with whom I just cannot discuss anything remotely church-related. To her, any Biblical translation is "changing scripture". Any Bible translation into a different language is "adding to scripture". It's kind of scary, actually. This is how cults are made. I do feel sorry for Philip. No education so he could go to an actual, real Bible school, and dreams that are being encouraged by his mother that will never happen.

Do we know what order her Amish neighbors are? There are several. The Old World Amish community that I am familiar with will ride in a hired car, but will not own one (horse and buggy only). But they hire drivers when they need to go shopping or to an event far from home. I have seen Amish folks picking up groceries in a car driven by the car's owner. But they don't "mingle" with their "English" neighbors for social reasons. They are very friendly when you go into their stores, and wave as you drive by. I can't imagine a neighborhood cookout with their English neighbors, however--or allowing pictures to be taken. There are other orders that are more "worldly", however, which might be the case with these neighbors. I think it depends on what their Bishop allows. My point is, not all Amish are Old World Amish. The Amish I know don't have curtains in their windows and do not use buttons on their clothing. The women use straight pins to close the front of their dresses, and the pins are always evenly spaced and perfectly straight. No electricity, so gas lighting in their homes, and a gas motor for the washing machine or fan. No telephones in the house, but some have a phone in a shed in the ditch out front. Up until few years ago, maps to their stores did not have street names. You had to count the roads to find the correct turnoff. But when 911 came into the area, the roads had to be named with street signs. Courting" couples have to ride in an open buggy. No top on the buggy until marriage. No church buildings. They take turns meeting on Sunday at homes. And they are always dressed in their "Sunday Best". The children do go to a school. At least in Iowa, the state has mandated that the Amish children must go to school, and they must be taught by credentialed teachers. The teachers do drive cars, and dress like the normal public. You see their cars parked next to the school buildings. In this regard, the Amish kids are much better off than the Rod kids. The Amish in the Rod's area are possibly not a strict Old World order and may be more social. I hope Jill is not trying to sell them Plexus!

After watching the Howlers clean the litter box with their bare hands (remember all the kittens they brought home when they found them in wall of a house?) , I would not trust anyone connected with this family in regard to sanitary habits.

Follow up on my HP printer. I had called HP last Tuesday for help in reconnecting to my new router, and received no help. My call was dropped a couple of times, and they were unable to explain how to reconnect (the tank printer does not have a touch screen to input the wifi info). I finally found a Youtube video, and it was really an easy fix. Today (Friday) I get a call from an HP person asking how my experience had been. I told her it was terrible and I did not get any help from them at all, and my call was dropped a couple of times. I figured it out myself. Just now an HP supervisor called, apologized, and took notes on my problem to report back. And is sending me a bottle of black ink, which should be over a year's supply for this printer. I am surprised, and happy to see customer service that is at least trying to help. (To anyone with an HP Smart Tank printer--download the HP Smart App. Setup and connection is very easy from there.)

The J's are used to tater tot casserole, tuna with BBQ sauce, and "cake" made of ice cream sandwiches smothered in fake whipped topping. I doubt soggy waffles and room temperature bacon will even register with them.

The Lonely Js Club: James, Jackson & Johannah
CalicoKitty replied to SpaghettiTuesdays's topic in Counting On
It could be JB using LLCs in their name to make the purchases. Maybe the brothers get an "allowance" out of the profits, but I would be surprised if they can make any financial decisions on their own. JB and the lawyer friend have to sign on the LLCs. I think JB is running the whole show. -

My thought is that JB uses various LLCs to move money around for tax purposes. I highly doubt Jana has any money that JB does not give her. The LLC is only using her name. -
These women are so hard to listen to. Mute is a good suggestion.

I found it to be pretty easy. I felt great afterward, and I did not have much recovery pain at all. Follow the instructions from your doctor about lifting, and don't overdo. You will feel tired, and that will last for a while. Just plan to nap when you need to. It is a good time to catch up on reading that book you haven't had time to read, and to catch up on your favorite tv programs. I made sure to walk every morning. I made it to the end of my sidewalk the first day or two, then to the end of the driveway, then to the corner and back, and finally I was able to walk around the block. You won't have much energy at first, but it comes back quickly. I started teaching a new school year 6 weeks after my surgery. Good luck to you, and just be sure to take care of yourself.

I've had an adventure with the cable company lately. Last Saturday I noticed that my iMac quit working, but the TV was still on (I stream all my TV content). I called AppleCare, and the nice lady had me check my other Apple equipment. None of them were able to get on line. So, called the cable company. While I was explaining that only some of my things would go on line, everything quit. No TV, Amazon Echo, computers, iPads. Phone was on cellular. No internet at all. The cable agent said my router was acting odd, and that Tuesday they would send someone to bring and install a new one. Oddly, one iPad started working, but nothing else. Monday morning, nothing was working. Monday afternoon everything seemed to be working except the Amazon Echo. So, yesterday the cable guy came, and instead of a half-hour cable check and new router install, he was here over 5 hours. All kinds of things were haywire. Finally, after numerous new switches, pieces of cable, and a new modem and router, I seem to be working again. They only really hard thing I had to do was to connect my new tank printer to my computers. HP's customer service is non existent. Once I watched a Youtube video, I was good. It is scary how lost you feel when you have no internet. It seems like EVERYTHING runs on it. I put full blame on the router. They can't be trusted.

My mom had a collection of over 200 nesting dolls. Any time we went to an antique store, we had to try to find more. I bought many for her in Russia. I had about 20 of my own, and I took probably 30 of her's when we emptied the house. Mine are all collector quality and range in size from about 1.5 inches to over 2 feet. Doing the research on them has been fun, as each area has its own style. The painting on them is really beautiful. I enjoy them, but I'm glad I didn't end up will all 200 of hers. Around 50 is probably enough, but that doesn't me from looking for them in antique shops and stores. I would love to see the store in NYC. Thanks for sharing.

I would have done the same thing. You are a very kind person.
