  1. I hope there's a season 2. It's amazing. So similar--in a good way--to My Name is Earl and Raising Hope. I'm glad that Barb warmed up to Stan, and they're both happy. Everybody got to have a good life. The last episode was intense in getting the plan to work out. At first, I didn't like Melvin, who was beating the crap out of Rooster. Too dark. In E8, the character became funnier. If there's a season 2, he'd be a welcome addition. Same with Wiggles. But the focus should be on the main four. I love the editing, and the tags at the end. Well done.
  2. OT: I automatically think of Vermeer, who was from Delft. Giuseppe is my favorite, so it was great that he won SB. I liked everything that he made during German week.
  3. Last season was unmemorable, so I don't recall Matt Lucas shoving his sexual orientation into casual commentary. I cannot like him. He's not funny, and Noel becomes worst when they team together for an unfunny bit. (Noel is funny and charming when he interacts with the bakers.) You can also tell that he grates on Paul's last nerve. I actively disliked him when he guest-starred on Community, my favorite show of all time. I hated his character.
  4. Thanks for the correction. Lizze's accent isn't too grating. Freya's speech pattern and accent are like nails on a chalk board. She starts to speak, gets tired, and the word falls off the cliff.
  5. I like Rochica, but maybe her attitude comes from the stress of the tent. Like, she's already given up. Yes! to everything about Lizzie and Freya. Freya's scouse accent is particularly grating. Never say cappuccino again. Lizzie hates to do anything out of her comfort zone. And she's so whiny about doing any work in the tent. Go home and just watch Harry Potter all day. I really like Maggie and hate that she'll leave the tent before Lizzie and Freya do. ----------- I like this group of bakers. Giuseppe, Maggie, Rochica and Jurgen are endearing. Last season, I didn't care who won; a mediocre and forgettable group. I would be happy for Giuseppe or Jurgen to win.
  6. I really like Emma Grede. She's very smart and intuitive. The Kardashians are lucky to work with her. Shark Tank has become boring. Food items, clothing, a fitness routine, some pet care item, eco-friendly stuff like a skin care line or a cleaning product line. I have been watching random episodes of Shark Tank, so everything's a blur. Was everybody crying in this episode? It's such a turn-off when somebody cries. I can't imagine doing that at a presentation or at an investor meeting. The hoodie's value is the story behind it. Nothing proprietary. Too expensive. The bread is ridiculous. Nobody is going to buy it when cheaper bread is available: keto bread, ancient grains bread, Ezekiel bread. The Lion Latch is a solution looking for a problem. I FF for most of the last invention--the feel-good clothing line. Another charity clothing line. Again, the value is the story behind it, and the market is flooded with this stuff, e.g., Tom's shoes, bombas socks. I'm tired of diversity, crying, charity over business, etc. I want to see good inventions without the distractions.
  7. I really do like Paul, but he's a little bit of a root rat. And I'm trying to say that in the least offensive way. 😊 He's the type who can't be alone. No idea why the bakers have to work in oppressive heat. Hot doughnuts and ice cream cakes. No reason why the tent can't have regulated temperature. I haven't seen Matt Lucas in anything except an episode of Community, and I loathed his character. He was really sympathetic with the bakers in this episode. I still don't think he's a good fit for this show, but I'm less irritated with him.
  8. Mando seems a little too OP. Auntie Peli is the aunt we need for baby Yoda. Love her.
  9. I watched a few episodes, and everybody is forgettable. Nobody stands out.
  10. Mando is so op! He was ten steps ahead of everybody and won. The running theme that Stormtroopers are terrible shots... That motley crew was so damn unlikeable. I'm glad that got their comeuppance. It's still a liability for Xi'an et al. to be alive and for them to have seen Baby Yoda. Mando should have killed them. Baby Yoda is so smart. He knew that he and Daddy were in trouble, so he played hide and seek with the droid. And Daddy to the rescue. Oh, and he got his ball again. She was so irritating. It was disappointing that she lived to be a thorn in Mando's side in the future. The Widow was a step-up for Mando.
  11. When Mando turned over Baby Yoda to Werner Herzog and the Doctor, he instantly knew that it was a mistake. Armorer's helmet was distracting. I kept wondering how she got it from Dr. Fate. The Mandalorians are badasses. Hopefully, we see how they live nowadays and how they lived in the past before the Great Purge. I like you, Greef Karga, but nobody gets between Baby Yoda and his Daddy. Glad you survived. Yes! As a new parent, Mando gets a pass. He'll be stumbling and learning what he should/shouldn't do with Baby Yoda. I'm all in!
  12. I love this show. Visually, it's stunning. The storyline doesn't feel slow. The characters. The call-backs and Easter eggs. Stormtroopers still can't shoot. I never knew that I needed a Baby Yoda in my life. When he looks at Mando, he sees Daddy. He is always looking for Daddy. The cuteness overload! I love Pedro Pascal's voice. The Jawas are always so irritating in a good way. Bring back Nick Nolte's character in future episodes.
  13. I'm watching it now. I'm glad that 90s WW is back. I hate her look in other animated movies, etc. Young Justice, Justice League v. Teen Titans. At some point, I hope that 90s-styled Justice League movies will happen. Esp. when the animated movies are geared toward adults. BBWW can be in JLA, and BB?? can be in other movies. I finally saw Hush, and it's good except for the BatCat romance. I rolled my eyes when Catwoman told Batman that he's crazy to try to save the Riddler. There's such a fundamental divide between them.
  14. Same. I think that the relationship between Buzz and Woody is the heart of Toy Story. Each Toy Story movie is amazing. Each movie shows how bittersweet it is to be a child's toy. Gabby Gabby lulls Woody by reminding him of his past life with Andy, and despite the eventual heartbreak, she wants to be a child's toy.
  15. The Toy Story movies have always had a sense of pathos. It's so bittersweet being a child's toy. I love the relationship between Buzz and Woody. That's why I looked around in the theater and wondered who was cutting onions at the end of the movie.
  16. I've always liked Eddie ever since the first episode when he had to eat alone in the bathroom. There are times that Eddie acts like a dick; but it's probably because the real Eddie is a dick, so I wave it off. I've never liked Jessica and her "tiger-mom" antics. When Evan became her mini-me, I started to loathe him too. In this episode, she tries so damn hard to not admit that she misses Eddie--her son. In the episode where Evan has a fencing contest, Jessica tells Eddie to stay away from her perfect son (his brother) because Eddie will be a bad influence. She hates him because he refuses to be molded in her image. How she acts is beyond the pale. Eddie isn't a mouthy kid who drinks and does drugs. He's stealth smart and very thoughtful. He surrounds himself with nice, loyal friends, including Trent who works hard for Louis. Re: Louis and Jessica's success. I thought that Louis wanted to move to Florida to open a restaurant, but Jessica was hesitant. So far, Jessica got bored with her real estate business, got a publisher to print her terrible novel, and spent her and Louis's 401K to massage her ego in academia. She has a business degree from Maryland, so maybe she should have used it. I just don't see how Jessica was successful when Louis is the reason why the restaurant is successful. And Grandma is still the OG.
  17. It's such a slog to watch this movie. I keep forcing myself to watch it in 15 min increments. Right now, I've only seen half of it. I was meh about Rey in the last movie. Now, I absolutely loathe her so far and actively rooting for Kylo Ren.
  18. WTH did I watch? Ten minutes in: Scully is getting coded messages in her brain. I switched over to Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-Monster to cleanse the palate. That episode is pure perfection. I'll try to watch My Struggle III another time. Ugh, it'll be such a chore.
  19. I love this show, and the cast is great. Nicole Ritchie is an MVP here. She has chemistry with everybody. This show should focus on other relationships aside from the mother-daughter one. E.g., Justin and Chuck, Portia and Chuck, etc. It's also pushing hard the Greg-Katie romantic relationship. I don't mind, but keep it in the background. I'm not 100% Team Katie because Cat has fantastic chemistry with Greg. They kinda look alike. It's not surprising that they're married in real life. Sorry, Carol.
  20. The hmmm-ing is annoying. The movie wants to make Batman pensive, but he comes off as some caveman. It's hilarious that Batman is dragged into every DC direct-to-video. Like how Lego Batman is the break out star of The Lego Movie. Darkness, No Parents! Stop making Superman and Wonder Woman a thing. Superman's boring, and forcing a S/WW relationship has made her boring. (Their relationship in Justice League Action is boring and squicky at the same time.) Drop the relationship and let Diana be great. (Her flirtation with Batman in Justice League is hotter than her actual relationship with Superman. And it didn't detract from her awesomeness.) Batman aside, this movie is all about Constantine. I love Matt Ryan and his short-lived Constantine show, so I'm glad that he gets to play Constantine again. I hope that there's a plan for more Constantine movies. I love how he's a likeable asshole, and somewhere, he is redeemable. I don't know how I feel about this version of Zatanna, but she is bursting at the seams. Yikes! Jason Blood is dead. Boo! I care about him and Etrigan after JL. Not a fan of Swamp Thing, but it was creepy and sad about how he ended. Is he permanently Swamp Thing without his human side? Creepy that his human side was brutally pulled out and creepy that his human form is decaying. DC shouldn't listen to Zack Snyder. This movie is too dark/brutal. Marvel is so much better at balancing lightness and darkness. Side note: GHScorpiosRule, have you watched Powerless? It's hilarious, and Batman and Bruce Wayne are unseen characters in it. Love it. The show gives a sense of humor to them.
  21. I am loving this show. I LOVE the metaness of the Emily-verb stuff. It's a tip of the hat to Community's Britta-ing (she's still the worst). (Same with how Teddy/Danny Pudi mentioned that Donald Glover is from Atlanta.) Emily is thisclose to being annoying, but I like her so far. I hope that this show keeps the perky-bordering-on-annoying to a minimum. Wendy is meh, but I love the rest of the supporting cast. I love Emily, and her dead-inside personality is a direct result of having to work for Van for years. And glad that Danny Pudi is able to break out of his iconic character Abed. Go, Teddy. I am crushing on Van. I love everything about him. Poor Bruce, his company will be in financial ruin (or at least second to LexCorp) because of Van. I love that Bruce Wayne and Batman are unseen supporting characters in this show. Their presence is felt in every episode. I love that this show gives a sense of humor and lightness to them.
  22. So did I. These writers are so damn lazy. I didn't watch the Black Claw nonsense, but it was a stupid way to end the villain of last season. Such build-up for a villain and have it putter out anticlimactically. These writers don't deserve another job after they botched Grimm. Diana/child actress is terrible. And why does she have the face of a 35 year-old? Renard still has nothing to do. I've forgotten how gorgeous Claire Coffee is, and she really is a very good actress. I want the supporting cast to get better jobs after this Grimm fiasco. The stick is still being referred to as a stick. Lazy writers can't figure out a cool name for this stupid stick. Raiders of the Lost Ark has the Staff of Ra. Crosses fingers that Nick bites it in the finale. He's a terrible Grimm, so I'm rooting for the Terminator to drag Nick and Eve into an alternate dimension. Let Trubel take the mantle of the Grimm like Terry McGinnis/Batman Beyond.
  23. Love the finale. The Rance family, esp. Angela, gets some closure. I like the teacher/student relationship that's building between Tomas and Marcus. Yay! Bennett's not dead. I want him to continue to be the voice of the Church when he has to track them down. Tomas and Marcus are going rogue, so Bennett should be there to bicker with Marcus. There's enough for an anthology. Keep this show going, Fox.
  24. I read an interview with her saying that fans were asking her why her role was small (or why she didn't have anything to do in S1). The interview was around the time that Juliette became the most powerful hexenbiest evah. I also remember when she said that the evolution of Juliette was a collaboration with the writers. Her interviews are from her point of view. I get it. Her opinion, her bias, her viewpoint. However, why are her interviews about how the fans are clamoring for more Juliette or how the writers want more Juliette or how the producers/showrunners want more Juliette? After S1, I read interviews and info about the show. I don't recall how Juliette was supposed to get a bigger part or to become a more integral part of the show. I mean, the character was easily changed from a baker to a vet because she wasn't a fleshed-out character. I like Mama Grimm, so I'm OK with a stupid return-from-the-grave plot. I would rather watch her doing her Grimm stuff than whatever else is happening on this show. Yes! Another example of how the writers boxed themselves into a corner. Renard went from bad to grey to good. Now, they're going to make him the bad guy for the final season. No build-up; no long con. At least make him the last man standing--Forever Knight-style. And as he leaves Portland, he turns around and looks at the city for the last time. Shirtless Rage. <fade to black> There's your ending, show. You're welcome. [I forgot that this show was returning on Friday. I saw a full-page! ad in Entertainment Weekly to remind me.]
