  1. Latest episode topic started for the 5 of us still watching this show. The good news is The Calamari Wig is gone. RIP
  2. I don’t buy Tasha teaching Tariq the drug dealing business because she’s afraid of losing him. I supposed we are supposed to be shocked by this and see how desperate Tasha is after Raina’s death. I just can’t believe it because Tasha knows how dangerous the drug business is. The odds of Tariq being killed by a rival dealer are pretty good. Tasha threatening to send Tariq’s privileged black ass to military school would be more consistent with her character. When will Ghost realize Tommy is his one true love, not Angela? I miss the dysfunctional bromance.
  3. This name may have become popular in the US only in the past few decades, but it is a Russian given name. It’s not as common as Anna or Sofia, but it’s not not rare. Many of the characters on this show do not have really common American names. Tom and Greg are common names, but Siobhan, Kendall, Roman, Rhea, and Logan are at least not guaranteed to be in a rack of name keychains. Is Greg supposed to inherit 5 million or 250 million from his grandfather. I think he told Connor 5 million, but at some point I thought he also mentioned giving up 250 million. I found it odd that Connor scoffed at 5 million yet the previous episode he was so panicked about the play’s lack of revenue he wanted Logsn to invest. How much money could he have possibly invested in that play?
  4. I actually like the way Shiv handled that because when the woman asked if she could trust Shiv, Shiv told her no, the only person she could trust was herself. That was honest and good advice. I do think when Shiv was telling the woman she wanted to reform the cruise ship business she meant it. The problem with Shiv is that as soon as Logan disapproves, she lets it go. In general, Shiv has unfocused ambition and that plus her daddy issues are her greatest weaknesses.
  5. Does Ken get paid extra to say really dumb guesses? Queen Latifah is the worst guess of the season so far. I can’t believe I’m typing this but Jenny is right about Ken getting his but kicked for guessing the Panda, who was so obviously not a singer, was Queen Latifah. The costumes are amazing this season. The leopard had so much detail. I hope the show wins an Emmy for the costumes.
  6. Andre has the worst luck. This storyline was so similar to Rhonda’s I couldn’t get into it. Where was Hakeem? Hiding in Lucious’s wig?
  7. Even though the show has gone way downhill, I would like to stick with it till the end. But, that wig is so awful. I can’t make it thought multiple episodes of that wig. I think the wig came to life and killed Lucious
  8. Thanks to @Joimiaroxeu and @Scarlett45 for the explanations about “Igor.” I think I thought Igor was one of the Serbian guys. There are so many bad guys on this show it is hard for me to keep up. It’s ironic how much bad stuff Ghost has done, but he seems to get in the most trouble for the things he didn’t do.
  9. My guess for the Ladybug is Jodie Sweetin. Her real life family is not famous but her TV one is. She has had a lot of problems and grew up in the spotlight. She has done some reality TV, and she sang on Full House. Her singing on Full House was pretty good, I think. I knew who the Egg was after he sang the first line of Just Dance. The clues were good, but the choice of music and movements are what gave it away for me. Johnny has a distinctive movement style, and he didn’t try to hide it in this performance. I wish he had stuck around. He’s not a good singer, but he is an an amazing entertainer. I keep waiting for Neil Patrick Harris to show up, but none of these contestants seem like him so far. I have not read any spoilers about him being on the show. It is just the perfect show for him to be on because he isn’t primarily known as a singer but he has done a lot of singing.
  10. I agree. At a glance, Shiv seems to be a good choice to replace Logan. Her appearance is polished. She is confident. She is recently married so that also seems stable compared to Roman and Kendall. (We know her marriage is unhealthy but someone like Nan would not.) However, up close she is just as much of a wreck as her brothers. She knows nothing about the business but thinks she can take over. She seems to always make the wrong choice when trying to please Logan. She treats Tom so badly we sometimes feel sorry for him, and Tom is a JERK. Also, I don’t know what the deal is with her dogs, but they always seem to be in those pens at home.
  11. I hate Tariq. He has has every opportunity Ghost didn’t, and he appreciates none of it. I am not sure if the director wants us to feel bad for him because his sister is dead, but I know I don’t. Whenever Raina is referenced in a scene with him, I get mad because he is the reason she’s dead. Then he squanders the amazing education he is receiving at Choate by selling drugs. In contrast, if Raina were at Choate now, she would be studying hard and acting in the school play.
  12. Kendall has a drug problem and is shoplifting. He is not thriving. I think it is the pressure of being Logan Roy’s child that gets to all of them because he is a mean, scary SOB.
  13. Are you saying that isn’t totally normal behavior at your workplace? Yeah, I think it’s a safe bet that most people think Tom’s treatment of his co-workers is horrible. It’s especially awful how Tom is bullied by Logan, then he does the same thing to others. As soon as they went in that room I realized it was just a regular office space that had been designated a safe room. It had windows. In addition to the breakable factor, if someone trying to shoot people can tell you are in a room by looking through a window, that is not a safe room. If Tom were less self-absorbed, he might notice things like this.
  14. This episode made me much more interested in Philo and Vignette. They are starting to seem like actual characters not plot devices. I loved that library. I guess it was destroyed, which may the most tragic part of the season for me. Alice Krige does effortlessly scary very well.
  15. I am liking this fantasy world so far. It has a little bit of a steampunk feel to it. I like that there are different crutch species. i am more interested in the world than Orlando Bloom’s character so hopefully he gets more interesting.
  16. The real reason is probably so we could have the scenes with Tom and Greg. The in-show universe reason could be that Gray is family so he gets invited to things he normally wouldn’t. i do not understand people like Geri and Frank continuing to work for Logan. I don’t care how much money they get paid, there are other places to work that must have better (at least saner) bosses. I think Logan has a good idea of how far he can push people and that is why Geri and Frank were not on the floor acting like boars. That scene reminded me of Lord of the Flies, and I was waiting for something worse to happen. why is Shiv’s first response to Tom’s question of what happened while he was away to hint that she had sex? What about her conversation with Connor or whatever the dogs did that weekend? It must be because she likes hurting him.
  17. Description Logan informs his management team of his plan to make another attempt to acquire a rival media company; Greg worries his meeting with a Logan biographer puts his standing with the family at risk; Connor's presidential announcement irritates Logan.
  18. Do we know that only Kendall has kids or are you assuming because no others have been mentioned? I just ask because could see a future plot involving some kid Roman abandoned that comes back to haunt him. I think Connor and Shiv have enough sense to use contraceptives if they don’t want kids, but their Window Wacker sibling is a moron.
  19. If Tom had seen Greg in that tiny loft apartment, he would have forced Greg to take it to delight in Greg’s suffering. I thought Shiv was the smartest Roy kid, but she let Logan play her. She should leverage his limited options against him. If he doesn’t pick her, he has a choice of three sons—an idiot (Roman), a drug addict (Kendall), and delusional idiot (Connor). These are terrible choices. Kendall’s drug addiction actually makes him the worst choice because he could OD suddenly. Sure Logan could pick a competent person who isn’t his child, but his ego won’t allow that. Shiv has a trump card that Logan can’t beat—eventually he will die. Of course, this assumes Logan is smart enough to acknowledge the inevitability of death.
  20. I thought Tench was notified, and that is how he knew where Holden was. Then because Shepard was leaving it was easy for him to keep the where Holdenwas a secret.
  21. Yes! I loved the dysfunctional world of Neptune. It was a great metaphor for current times. I loved the Veronica and Wallace friendship that never got weird with potential romance like every other friendship between a hetero man and woman on TV. I even loved Dick and Vinny because in small doses they’re funny. Mystery shows with no lead character development are all over TV and most of the have titles with acronyms. I don’t want any of them in my TV viewing schedule. What I do want is a show full of flawed, interesting characters like the inhabitants of Neptune. I don’t want to live there, but I like to visit. Edited to add: I just realized Rob Thomas stole the ending of the James Bond movie On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. James Bond gets married but he can’t be to continue the franchise so the bride gets killed on their wedding day by the villain who is trying to shoot James. This wasn’t even one of the good Bond movies, BTW.
  22. I don’t get all the Laurieann hate. She seems middle of the pack to me among all the judges. Mostly, I am just glad she is not Jason Derulo or a random celebrity like Vanessa Hudgens.
  23. I looked up past seasons, and it varies. In season 4 there were SIX episodes of auditions. Several seasons had five weeks of auditions. More recent seasons have had just two or three so that’s probably why it seems so long. I miss them going to different cities. Sometimes there was a short segment on the dance culture in that city. I prefer that to the lengthy contestant backstories. I don’t want to become invested in someone until they make the top 20.
  24. I’ve just realized the downside to having Lucifer on Netflix is less episodes per season with longer breaks between seasons. How unfair this is after such a great season 4. I can’t wait to see how Lucifer gets Hell back in order and escapes back to L.A. I am willing to forgive Netflix for cancelling Daredevil in exchange for season 5 of Lucifer.
  25. I loved this episode. Ironically, I feel like I got my old show back now that it has a new home. No one has mentioned this yet so I have to ask... Was anyone else bothered by Lucifer licking his fingers sticking them back in the jar of honey? That’s so unsanitary and messy. I have never seen avocado honey before, but now I want to try it. An article I read about it says it tastes like molasses.
