  1. I liked the Liv and Clive interaction in this episode when she wasn't being influenced by self-absorbed brains. Clive wanted the cure for Liv even though it means an end to her insight into cases because they're friends. Such a difference from their first season real action shop when he didn't know the truth.
  2. Even though I knew Liv would not be getting the cure because the show is called iZombie, my heart still broke for her. She and Major are almost back to Season 1, but at least he knows she's a zombie. i was afraid Blaine was going to put something in Peyton's wine then keep her prisoner so she didn't tell anyone his secret. Peyton should be more careful when telling know killers she knows their secret. She obviously didn't take criminal law from Annalise Keeting.
  3. No, Becky needs to keep some distance between herself and thevLyons because people that get too close to that family up dead, in jail, or having their lives ruined publicly. We've already lost Rhonda and Freda, and I can't remember the last time w saw Porscha. I don't want to lose another great female supporting character to the Lyons dysfunction.
  4. This was the grossest episode of Empire ever because the idea of Cookie wanting to get back together with Lucious just turns my stomach. He is toxic, and she knows that--not in an irresistible bad boy way, but in a let you rot in prison for years while he gets rich way. I would rather see Cookie end up with Anika than with Lucious. The Hakeem, Tiana, and Tory relationship was also icky. Why does Hakeem think everyone wants to watch him provide commentary on a nature documentary? You are not Morgan Freeman, Hakeem. Only slignly less frightening than Hakeem in a threesome was Hakeem thinking a baby lion is called a pup. Maybe Lucious dropped him on his head a few times when he was a Lyon cub.
  5. The best part of this episode was when Mod-El started to talk about his "superhero" experience and everyone just stared at him. The 2nd best part was the last scene with Alex and Maggie. The 3rd best was when Wynn got excited after picking up Alex's signal--it didn't work as expected but Wynn's reaction was great.
  6. Well this sucks. Pitch is canceled, but Fox keeps all three Gordon Ramsey shows?! Sometimes I think my liking a new show is the kiss of death. RIP, Pitch. You join She TV, Tell Me You Love Me, Class of '96, Rubicon, Firefly, Terriers, and The Grinder in the graveyard of shows I killed by watching them. Meanwhile, I have never seen an episode of any of the NCIS shows, and apparently there are several of them and they've been on for decades.
  7. I think there was a person lurking in the backyard. However, I could be delusional from staying too long in the sensory deprivation chamber at the Institute. i don't understand how Megan knew who did the rewrites. i also don't understand why multi-millionaire Kyle didn't hire a security guy to stay at his house at least temporarily. So many mysteries that I care more about than Megan's big secret...
  8. Of all the unrealistic things about this episode, the one that bothered me the most was Huck wearing Olivia's robe. Can't one of those people buy Huck his own robe at the downtown D.C. Macy's? Many episodes ago, I let go of worrying abou the big unrealistic things like a murder being committed in front of Millie, who would have Secret Service protection.
  9. Did Maddie have with with her cousin or just make out with him? I'm trying to determine how grossed out I need to be. She claims she can be whoever she wants, but her con is always the same--she's always someone's fantasy woman. That's not freeing--it's letting someone else define you. Even when she's not playing a role, she's still doing what the doctor wants.
  10. The best part of this episode was that it finally settled the question of how old Hakeem is. Chronologically he is 21, but emotionally he is 7. Isn't it a parole violation for Cookie to have a handgun in the house? I'm surprised Angelo didn't mention that as another reason she shouldn't have it. I was disappointed when Cookie lied to Angelo about never shooting anyone. It seems this is another relationship destined to fail for Cookie. I'd kind of like to see Cookie hook up with Angelo's mom because that would be a real power couple and it would kill Lucious. I know it won't happen, but it's good fan fiction.
  11. Whatever Happened to Baby Jane is a classic horror movie like Psycho. It's not campy at all. In the hands of less talented actresses, it could have been really cheesy, but instead it is fantastically chilling. i rewatched it recently, and I did not think B.D. was bad. It was a small part and her role was a way to provide exposition so I barely noticed her.
  12. According to the director, it was the actors who decided Cookie and Lucious should not have sex: http://tvline.com/2017/03/22/empire-recap-season-3-episode-10-sound-fury-cookie-lucious-fight/ I'm glad the director listened because I think it was more true to Cookie's character to walk away. Yes, Lucious is her weak spot, but she is a strong and smart woman who has learned her lesson with him. My favorite part of the episode was the therapy session. I could almost see the thought bubble above the therapist's head saying, "I am so not getting paid enough for dealing with these crazy people."
  13. I thought this episode would be a giant piece of fluff, and I was not wrong. However, it was worth it just for Victor Garber and Jessie Martin performing together. Someone give these guys their own musical spin-off show. How about Legends of Broadway?
  14. Barry breaking up with Iris may be the most unrealistic thing I've seen on this show. Yes, more unrealistic than a telepathic giant gorilla. Barry has been in love with Iris his whole life, and when she says she does want to marry him, he does backsies on the proposal and saiyexthey need a beak?! If I wer airis, I would ask the Speed Force if I could trade Barry for Avatar Eddy.
  15. Have we ever seen the woman with Papa Pope before?
  16. That was lots of plots twists just for the sake of having plot twists. So the DA said Laurel lied about being kidnapped, but she actually lied about not being kidnxpped. Is that right? I thought she said she lied to protect her father, but that didn't make sense to me. What did I miss in the rationale? Also, when was Laurel kidnapped? i think I need a Dramamine now.
  17. This show hasn't just jumped the shark--it's jumped the entire Atlantic Ocean. Of course the vice president elect and a cannibal would be in the same prison, and Tom too! What could go wrong there? Hey Liv, you murdered a Vice President of the U.S. Fitz murdered a judge in her hospital bed. You all deserve to rot in prison.
  18. I understand why Cabe is there when Scorpion works for the government, but this was not work for the government, so why was Cabe there? Doesn't he have real work to do for Homeland Security? I guess not if he has time to hang out on a boat with Toby and run Sylvester s campaign.
  19. I don't understand why Lucider doesn't want to be in a relationship because God directly contributed to her creation. It was determined that Chloe's feelings for Lucifer are of her own free will and his feelings also seem to be of his free will, so what's the problem? Why can't this just be like your dad setting you up on a date? Dad may set up the situation, but what happens next is up to you.
  20. Veronica was my favorite character in the comics so it's no surprise that she is already my favorite character in the show. I was worried I was too old for the show, but then my hubby, who is seven years older, said he liked it. However, I would be happy if all teacher-student affair plots were dropped from high school dramas. That is statutory rape, and it should be treated as such. I do realize it is har to remember that when the actor playing the male high school student is usually in his twenties.
  21. Thanks for the info! I wish a few lines had been added to clarify this.
  22. I am confused by Prince Sebastian. He said he is 7th in line to the throne, which must make him Eleanor's cousin, but they did not seem to know each other before the auction. This seems unlikely because if there is one thing members of royalty know well, it's each other. Also, who are his mother and father? do Simon and Cyrus have a brother or sister who has never been mentioned? Robert should be king, then this is what I think the order of succession is: 1) Liam: he is first as long as Robert has no kids and any kids of Robert knock everyone else down a notch 2) Eleanor 3) Cyrus 4) Cyrus's unnamed son: assuming male primogeniture is in effect; if not he is after Maribel 5) Penelope: older daughter of Cyrus 6) Maribel: younger daughter of Cyrus 7) Sebastian: he is probably the son of either a) a deceased sister or deceased younger brother of Cyrus and Simon or b) a deceased first cousin of Cyrus and Simon. I don't think it was explicitly said thst Sebastian was 7th in line to the throne of "England", but that seemed to be implies and I would think it would be stated if he was in the line of succession for a different country like Denmark. I don't know why I bother to think about these issues when the writers clearly don't.
  23. The viewing audience knows Cyrus is bisexual, but we have seen no evidence that this is publically known on the show. Helena's affair was made public after Simon's death. As far as Robert dating Kathryn, I think the problem is that he is the heir to the throne. Liam and Eleanor have more freedom to date commoners than Robert does. See Prince Charles and Prince Andrew for how the issue of dating who you want played out for the heir and the spare. I think a thief, especially one who attempted to steal jewelry that belongs to the kingdom, would be universally frowned upon as a boyfriend for a princess. Eleanor dating a woman may be as big a problem to some people, but not to all. Theft is a crime in the United Kingdom. Lesbianism and bisexuality are not. I know this is a fictionalized version of the U.K., but I doubt it strays that far from the real place.
  24. Jason has replaced Stevie as the most annoying McCord child. I did enjoy the verbal smackdown from the dad after Jason displayed a lack of knowledge about Reynolds' position on Iran.
