  1. Looks yummy to me! I hope the Brits like it too.
  2. What I liked about Andy Samberg: His humor can be silly and goofy. (One of my favorite shorts on SNL was "Laser Cats!") Last night, he did not seem fazed if a joke or a bit didn't go well -- he kept that same wide-eyed smile going. Almost as if he was playing a joke on US, all in good fun and we'll just move along now! lol And, he was willing to take a risk on a sharp-edged joke or two. While I can admire Neal Patrick Harris, I felt like he believed too much of the press about his wonderfulness.
  3. Haven't seen her show, but I loved Viola Davis's dress and speech.
  4. I like Amy Poehler's hair color, but agree it could have been styled better. Maybe the heat affected the hairstyles. I never cared for her hair when it was so white blonde.
  5. Kerry was funny with Ryan, though! Emma Roberts' hair, dress and skin tone were all the same color. I wonder if it's just really really difficult to dress Christina Hendricks? I don't know if I've ever seen her look good at an awards show.
  6. But ... I thought it was just being happy and eating right???!! (Per Padma) I love Joanna Froggat's dress.
  7. Or just say "the Chicago area." Nobody cares, evidently, except those who actually live IN Chicago, and IMO it is their own snobbishness! lol And really, it depends on the context. In Illinois, it may make a difference. Can't imagine folks in London would even know much about Illinois other than Chicago. Heck, when I lived in California, some people there barely knew where Wisconsin was! LOL
  8. "Yes!" to your entire post, scenicbyway!!!! I like Julie. I wish someone would help her dress, though. That red dress did not flatter her. She is very thin and it showed her ribs. Marissa's hair is not good in her THs -- very flat. I have fine hair like that and I just want to say "do something for volume, girl!" ;) Didn't really know what to make of the Juliet and Marissa "are we friends" conversation. It was very uncomfortable and awkward. The new Caroline??? Truly wacky or just for show??
  9. I got a kick out of Tamra being worried about her mother's clothes on the date. How about taking a look at yourself, Tamra??
  10. Love Uncle Joe! You never know what he will say. Agree on Toby Keith though. Ugh. Only caught a portion of the show tonight. Not interested in the guests. I'll keep tuning in.
  11. Even when you live in a cool place, it can still be hard when you see all the family together celebrating the holidays. You miss the family and the shared experience. But I still think Juliet was OTT about the holiday and her BIRTHDAY!! Lol
  12. I think the ratings drop is due to curiosity factor, too.
  13. I felt for Brianna, being so happy to go out for dinner. I am not familiar with military life, but wouldn't there be other youg wives/moms for her to socialize with on or near base? Having lived in OK for a few years, I was impressed that they had an underground shelter. We always headed for an interior bathtub, wondering if we should bring a mattress for cover! Have to confess, I was not watching closely tonight. Couldn't watch Tamra with the minister or the Dubrow's skin care segment. Cringed when the Beador's daughter said they wanted to make them a meal to help with their marriage -- those kids should not be this involved!!!! Ugh.
  14. If Juliet wanted a home Thanksgiving she could have cooked the whole damn thing for her family at her home! How's that for celebrating your birthday??? She exhausted me tonight. So self-centered. Enjoy the fact that you have a meal/ party to go to on your birthday. Sounds like Marissa has a tradition of hosting Thanksgiving and she already had made plans. She was accommodating Juliet with the cake, etc. Then Juliet had to drag in Caroline and somehow got Caroline to host the dinner???!!! Ack. So far I like Julie and Marissa the most. Is there another Caroline joining the show?
  15. I was surprised at how directive Cait was in practically ordering Kris to "sit there!" I've seen her take charge in other situations in a way that (to me) indicates that she is used to being in charge or followed. It is an interesting sociological study in a way -- she was never raised in the "niceties" of being a woman. Not that all women are (or need to be) that way, but I definitely notice it in Cait.
  16. Yes, that is my perception too! lol I only started watching last week, so I don't know the names nor much of the backstory on anyone. I liked all of the top 3. Candace seems pretty stuck on herself and sure she would win, which annoyed me. I really liked Swapnil's dress AND his attitude!! I just did not want Candace to win because she was so sure of the win.
  17. I wondered the same -- next season??? I thought this was a one and done series.
  18. I try to watch this show for the homes, but the story lines, the horrible sellers who always want more, and the dreadful agent Andrew (especially) make me lose interest. Have to say I actually felt a bit sorry for Andrew dealing with that know-it-all kid this episode, though. (Probably a produce plant!)
  19. Well ... When we got married, I was 27 and my husband was 29. His parents were about 51-52. We thought they were old! Lol
  20. I want to see Heather's mansion when it is complete! The tour was OTT and fun, but I still have a hard time envisioning it. Aaaaand once again, HW get-together (Heather's luncheon) is wrecked by housewives fighting. Sigh. I'm sure the producers egged them on, but please. Oh, Shannon. Your children are making me embarrassed for you. Have you aired too much dirty laundry to them??? Just eat the spare ribs; they are yummy. It's your birthday, live a little! Then please divorce your husband.
  21. Thank you!!! Now I know what a vocal fry is. ACKKKKKKKK!!!! Awful. I got a giggle about all the "drama" over the veil; then at the wedding you could barely see it as she put her hair up (dislike, BTW) and the veil was just kind of attached in back to her updo. lol She was very entitled, spoiled, and acknowledged it. I was happy to see her softening up a little by the end.
  22. Holy crap. I am amazed at the amount of detail so many of you remember! I have see Lu in action too many years to trust her.
  23. Agree. I was in and out on that scene, but I could not figure out how Vicki went so ballistic so quickly, especially since she and Shannon are (supposedly) so close. What did I miss?
  24. This. I could not figure out WHAT Beth was doing, picking on that poor guy because she was mad at Ramona? Heather? I can't remember. Awful.
  25. This whole episode gave me a headache. Who starts all these arguments at a party??? I know, only the Real Housewives of "Whatever." Ack. Sonja was delusional. I couldn't even follow the Ramona/Beth stuff. Kristen gets major kadooz for holding her own and her sanity with Sonja. Luann was the worst. What a vile comment to make to Carole.
