  1. I think reaction to the Che/Miranda scene depends a lot on viewer backgrounds, and I’m referring specifically to mine. I’ve cried like that over breakups, and I learned how to deal with disappointments like that on my own. My parents never coddled me over relationships and they sure as hell wouldn’t race to my side to console me. The point of that scene for me was that Miranda should have been at home in New York in the first place, not chasing her lover with whom she had a full blown extra marital affair. I agree that the relationship is toxic and onscreen it just doesn’t work. Che’s reaction was harsh, but I felt the same frustration with Miranda that Che did. Miranda ruined the taping. If she needed to mom, she should have stayed outside to mom. I think Che would have understood that. To me Brady doesn’t get to be a complete and total shithead manchild in Season 1 and a blubbering mama’s boy in Season 2. For me the overarching issue is that this new abducted by aliens Miranda is a complete flake with a total inability to set boundaries. Brady is a monster child she (and MPK) created. Maybe being walked all over by her child in her own home is what fueled the dissatisfaction with her life because I know a woman or two who would be delighted by an ice cream sundae and tv ritual with a spouse. I can’t relate to Miranda and I can’t relate to Brady, but I can relate to Che’s annoyance and frustration because I am annoyed and frustrated. Miranda’s the worst.
  2. I would too! LTW/NAP has some comedic chops - she kind of curled up her lips and mumbled something like Tyler Perry (in the sound guy scene) and it was really funny the way she did it. I like that she can be serious and funny. I think Che could be serious and funny and it would be SO much better if their character wasn’t playing opposite frigging Miranda who we all agree has been taken over by aliens. I think Sara Ramirez is a good actor and so much better than CN who is actually a terrible actor. The chemistry is non-existent. It was harsh but I remain team Che after the sound studio incident. Miranda should not have snuck her phone into the studio. If she was choosing her child which was a perfectly fine thing to do, she should have stayed outside. And OF COURSE Miranda chose a typeface with serifs for her tattoo.
  3. Plus I don't think it helped that Taylor was super fit and a teen beauty queen.
  4. Carrie would find a way. Then she would shriek and run down the street while wearing them.
  5. As long as she doesn’t yell “white guy with a baby!” we’ll be in good shape. I agree with you, if she could face the consequences of her choices and hold herself accountable for them, I’d be onboard for that.
  6. Yeah to me every kid on this show is the one who threw pesto on Samantha.
  7. If Brady is 17, I personally think that is too young to backpack across Europe with his girlfriend, regardless of how many people did it themselves or took even greater risks at that age. Like Lily, I think the character is an entitled brat. He grew up in a lovely home with two loving, (and gainfully employed) parents who severely lack boundaries and he was permitted to walk around like he owned the place, then he falls apart when things don't go his way. I think this and Lily's storylines are lame and I have no sympathy for any of the extremely privileged young characters on the show. I wish they would keep the focus on the adults. I couldn't give a flying fig about the kids. Roger that. (gif is directed to the entitled children) Brady is 21 17, not 7.
  8. Seriously. Is this the same young man who acted like a complete ass to his mother in his parent's home all last season? Who if he hadn't been retconned should be in his twenties? Why isn't he calling his awesome father who has been home in Brooklyn the whole time? Grow up son. Also I have NO interest in re-opening the great Covid debate. It's like they just want to get people arguing again. No thank you.
  9. I haven’t seen the episode yet and I’m already pissed at Miranda and her retconned boomer phone ignorance. First of all this is a woman who wanted to show off her new Palm Pilot at brunch and second, switching off the ringer is new phone 101. Do NOT be that person. Jesus where’s Patty Lupone when you need her. ETA: Miranda was also the one to hand Carrie her smartphone when Lily was in cupcake assassin mode on her wedding day, and Carrie took one look at it and said okay I don't know how to work this. Who has the amnesia? Because it ain't us.
  10. She has her own scream as well, akin to Carrie’s little screams/shrieks. Very annoying.
  11. FWIW, this is not an accurate transcription of what was said in this segment. Besides that, Cassie didn’t offer any actual dance critique or correction. She came down on Taylor for her behavior outside the studio. Not Taylor’s leader, not Cassie’s place to do so.
  12. Hell I have a crush on Sara and I’m straight as an arrow! I think it’s a confidence thing plus I think Sara Ramirez is a really attractive person. I miss the Miranda that got hit on the head during the bouquet toss and didn’t miss a beat.
  13. I liked Miranda much better when she was straight and cynical. The full nudity in the deprivation tank was stupid. We get it, CN is here to normalize nearly 60-year old naked bodies but that was really dumb. The character is way too uptight for a sensory deprivation tank and doesn’t she have a bad back anyway?
  14. (this is directed at Bethenny) For crying out loud we were THERE. For all of it. It’s streaming in perpetuity. She melted into a puddle on the deck of that seafood shack they went to in Montauk when he asked her to move in with him. Maybe I’ve second guessed her acting skills. Girlfriend was on board. But I guess after she made it and got her baby and she couldn’t coerce him into being under her thumb professionally, it all went south.
  15. They got married in March 2010 and the sale to Beam was March 2011. I think part of the demise of the marriage was that she wanted him to quit his career and work for her and he said no. He didn’t want any part of SG.
  16. Well, and the 498,000 viewers and 500,000 followers...and their jeweler who also attended the engagement (which I think is kind of weird). I mean the ring was up on her website with photos almost simultaneously. Not a crack at you - just a generalization that Carl and Lindsey's engagement was never just about Carl and Lindsey. It was about how much money they could make from filming it and socializing it.
  17. On another note, what is up with that weird ass limo bus that she rides around in all the time? Why? I mean I guess I could understand it for the long ride out to the Hamptons because it probably has a potty, but still. She bombs around Manhattan in that thing. It’s so big she probably could have lived in it when she was homeless.
  18. Bim is another name for Barbados used by the people who live there 🌴 Also the water around Bimini is crystal blue from the white sand. Barbados is a lot more rocky, which we saw in the approach shots.
  19. In the earliest episodes Roman had a wife, a wedding ring and a young daughter but they retconned both of them out pretty quickly. I think the last time we saw them was I Went to Market.
  20. We came close one time - in Tern Haven when Kendall and Naomi ran down the hill to the helicopters with the bottle of vodka. That was actually one of my favorite scenes (the running part) because he seemed to drop his so serious persona completely. But then he soiled his bed and it was all over 😬
  21. I think that’s what sealed the deal for Shiv - Kendall was blatantly lying and she knew right then and there he would never not sell her out to get what he wanted only for himself.
  22. I don’t think Shiv would ever be a trad wife. She has absolutely no idea how and has always mocked Tom for his more traditional midwest upbringing. I was glad she voted yes for the simple fact that she knew her brothers would always screw her over. And now they won’t be able to ever again. What kills me is now they’re all free, but they are completely unaware. Except Roman. I think the smile is that he is aware, and the frown is how they got there and he still has a lot of grieving to do. I see Kendall remaining estranged and Connor/Roman/Shiv forging better relationships now that the pressure is off.
  23. Caroline was absolutely lousy right to the end, gathering her children not to have a Caribbean air clear but to have her slimy husband pitch an investment opportunity with his even slimier friend. Gross.
