  1. I think Leah’s problem is she’s not capable of an independent thought that isn’t rooted in oppositional defiance.
  2. Oh lord me too. I was really proud of Anna in that moment. She handled herself with maturity and coped in a healthy way. She is light years ahead of Amber in her emotional development. Amber, who pulled off her mic and left the house. Great example Amber 🤦🏼‍♀️
  3. I finally figured out that if I cancel the recording when WWHL starts, it gives me the option to cancel the single episode only, not the entire series. That stops the inadvertent recording of WWHL. And I can still roll back the tape to rewatch for clarity. This is only helpful when watching the episode in real time though 😕
  4. I was pretty appalled at the mess in Leah’s guest room. Her crap was ALL over the place. She has absolutely no respect for other people’s things or their hospitality, but we learned that last season. She’s one ungrateful person.
  5. Today I watched the anti-bullying luncheon episode in S4 and there were some clear camera shots of a younger, pre-menopause Dorinda at the table with Lu, Jill and the others. Talk about simpler times!! Le sigh.
  6. Eboni may have won my heart running for the door with the tequila bottle 😊
  7. Everyone looks really pretty. ETA: I’m irrationally pissed that Leah also looks really pretty.
  8. Leah stopped crying pretty fast once the door closed? Huh?
  9. I don’t agree. I don’t think of people in that manner. I appreciate the ability of a person to express themselves with clear and impactful words no matter what they look like, because it’s something I struggle with myself. I guess now I know simply being appreciative of that can be considered racist if the person isn’t white. I find that to be pretty disconcerting.
  10. If someone told me I was articulate, I would be SO flattered because I sometimes struggle to find my spoken words. But say it to a black woman and it’s automatically a microagression? Come ON. It’s a fucking compliment for a well expressed point. Not everyone can do that. Has nothing to do with skin color.
  11. And there they all go “moving to the hard stuff” to be able to cope with the conversation that will be had by all, right in front of the allcoholic in-recovery who doesn’t have a coping mechanism to lean on except her own will. Somehow that’s okay and not the least bit disrespectful? Okay.
  12. Quoting myself from the Burning Up episode thread, for context: ETA: I have been called the wrong name my entire life. Even at my high school graduation, the class president, who I’d known since we became friends in second grade, called me by the wrong first name when it was my turn to cross the stage. And I have a very simple, common first name. I have no idea why to this day people can’t get my name straight, but I guess people are just like that. Somebody at work just did it two weeks ago. Ramona didn’t go Hilly Holbrook on us. She’s just Ramona. Her mannerisms, like the talking over a
  13. Going to have to be the third coming after Cassie’s daughter, who could conceivably still be on the squad at that time 😆
  14. Oh!! I just automatically thought she was talking about Shawn Killinger 😆
  15. It was something like “now I started the show with Amy, who apparently Sean just thinks is oh well <gestures> no I’m kidding!” And then she said something like no we love you into her ear piece.
  16. Whooooo! Did you guys just catch the Shawn Shade from Rachel??
  17. They even have proper seating in front of their mirrors, no dog beds! One thing that never ceased to amaze me about DCC is the fact that they never have a proper place to sit e.g., having to sit on the floor to wait to be called into the office. I have mentioned it before, even my dad (who was passing through the room when I was watching MTT) commented that it is degrading to expect the women to sit on the floor. And I agree. I swear it's some kind of mind f*ck. If it was Mandy who helped lay the groundwork for the design, she did a hell of a job.
  18. Plus Montauk isn't reeeeeeeally the Hamptons. Not where any of this crowd goes anyway. Ramona's house is an hour away and Lu's is 45 minutes, without traffic. They're actually closer to Quogue than they are to Montauk 😆 but Sonja still probably wouldn't go.
  19. I take Ramona with a grain of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. "When she was good, she was very good indeed, but when she was bad she was horrid." She's had her moments where I REALLY disliked her but I think she's improved a lot and she's doing pretty well this season 😊
  20. Eboni did. She cited the Emancipation Proclamation and said she was free and no one can tell her what to do with her time. Not properly managing your time and being late for a scheduled event is rude regardless of skin color or hair texture.
  21. Going back to Amber and jealousy. I wonder if Amber is jealous of Anna's looks. She is pretty and she has pretty hair, good skin and the slimmest figure of all of them. Anna is obviously bright, she has a good heart and with her work ethic a TON of potential. I wonder what's going on there. It's terrible to say but when Amber isn't wearing makeup, which is usually any time she's not doing a talking head, I want to invoke Uncle Buck and say: Take this quarter, go downtown, and have a rat gnaw that thing (in Amber's case, those things) off your face.
  22. However Sonja does have a long history of acquaintance with Luann and an even longer friendship with Ramona. I would LOVE to see throwback photos of Sonja and Ramona hitting the clubs in their single days before they got married.
  23. I have to say I am enjoying the irony of Leah taking on the very aesthetic of the UES women she chastised last season i.e., very blond, rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, botox, dermal fillers and lip filler.
  24. "She did. She called her an angry woman. Again, she doesn’t need to say all 3 words..." But it's okay for Eboni to say the three words when that isn't what was said? I don't agree with that. They were not having the same argument and Luann did not call Eboni and angry black woman whether she used three words or two. I can't defend Luann against being an asshole with her gaslighting but they were still not having the same argument. Eboni tried to twist it around and make the diverged argument about race and it was not. I've finished expressing my thoughts on the matter.
