  1. I got the impression Joseph was smart in being really kind to Jill as Jill was sculpting her face, although he mentioned he was stressed that she was being so slow that she wouldn't be able to get it molded that night. I think her knew that he should just let her do her own thing (he didn't give her any suggestions about changing how it was looking), and she would be eliminated (finally). I agree with everyone that there should have been labels when the works were revealed. Although gluttony wasn't my favorite, I did know what sin it represented when revealed. Hoping Andrew does well - he's from my hometown of Glendora, a smallish city east of LA, along the San Gabriel mountain range. I left Glendora for college on my 18th birthday, have fond memories of the town but am glad I moved.
  2. @sourpickles, it looks like in Season 2, Nix and Jerry did a sea turtle. Way too literal an interpretation (I can't copy the image) and I liked George's more subtle depiction.
  3. According to wikipedia, engraving them at the Governor's Ball began in 2010. To prevent information identifying the Oscar winners from leaking ahead of the ceremony, Oscar statuettes presented at the ceremony have blank baseplates. Until 2010, winners were expected to return the statuettes to the Academy after the ceremony and wait several weeks to have inscriptions applied. Since 2010, winners have had the option of having engraved nameplates applied to their statuettes at an inscription-processing station at the Governor's Ball, a party held immediately after the Oscar ceremony.
  4. Thog, look at the previews for next week. Cig, George, and Evan are all wearing his t-shirt when they show up for the next challenge. Sounds like he was very much admired by his fellow contestants.
  5. Thank you Sour Pickles for those links. I loved hearing that Gage wanted to do some projects with Rachel when he found out they were paired. He invited her to join him on work he did in Brazil and in LA, so they could see how they each create. He also said this about himself: I also have a really odd sense of humor and the one that really picked up on that was Ben Ploughman. Ben is the more silent jokester, and I’m like the really loud jokester. Glad to hear that Ben is a jokester, as he just seems so beaten down now.
  6. I just rewatched his acceptance speech. He did end it saying, "Ben, I love you. You ain't heavy."
  7. As was answered by someone else, the one to his right is Busy Philipps. She has a funny Instagram video where she talks about when they became aware something was wrong. The producer was down in front of them, responding to someone telling him the wrong picture was named. As he's saying, 'Moonlight won, not LLL' those right in front realized what was going on. She grabbed the arm of Ben, saying 'Do something' even though she doesn't know him. People and the Daily Mail have her story now. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4271294/Busy-Philipps-dishes-Oscar-blunder-row-seat.html
  8. That interview makes it clear why Martha Ruiz was relieved of her duties as well. As Esposito said, they didn't have the disposition for the job, to be able to react as needed when LLL was announced.
  9. No doubt Emily hasn't seen any Mad Max movies either.
  10. Actually, it was 'Isle of Wonder'. I had to look up what that was - it's the name of the album of the 2012 London Summer Olympics; it was the source of the Chariots of Fire music.
  11. In the tease after the wedding episode, you see Austin and Joy approaching the summit of the hill and one of the brothers was trailing behind - James maybe?
  12. I just watched the wedding for the first time, and saw the woman in blue sitting with her husband in one of the pews pretty close to the front - I'm 99% sure that's Joy's future sister-in-law, Meagan Ballinger!
  13. Just watched the wedding episode. Just a few observations: Shoes: Such a contrast between Michelle's black clodhoppers and Diana's sparkly pumps, most noticeable when they were descending the stairs after they lit the candles. Liked Josie's ballet flats, and noticed she wasn't wearing the black leggings during the ceremony (which she had on when the nurse/minder put the crown on her). Josh-blocking: I agree Josh was likely in the second pew - almost every time there was a shot from behind, his head was conveniently down, as if he was tending to one of his children - I'm sure he was told to do that throughout. When Jinger and Jeremy returned to the church for pictures with all the family and close friends gathered together, and they panned to the altar where everyone was gathered, a young woman was conveniently standing on the lefthand foreground, likely to block Josh. You could see David Waller sitting on the lowest level with his son and daughter, and Marcus. Then you could see Joy with another child. Most likely Priscilla, Anna, and Josh were sitting between them, blocked by the woman in burgundy. V-flower: I know many on here hated the flower wall. But Jinger and Jeremy aren't to blame - they said it was a surprise from Cindy, their wedding designer. I liked it, but hated the stumps. Josie: Although she did her duties well, I did notice her fidgeting with her basket early in the ceremony. The next time you could see a wide shot, the basket was on the ground next to you - good job Jana! Woman in horrid blue satin dress: I'm 99% sure that is Joy's future sister-in-law, Meagan Ballinger. They were showing early guests being seated. Bobby Ballinger was sitting down, in one of the pews close to the front, next to his wife, the woman in blue, and two children.
  14. A quick search of 990-N (e-postcards) filed in 2015 shows the Dillard Family Ministries. They can file an e-postcard, rather than a longer 990 (which would give us details) because they had receipts not greater than $50K (both in 2014 and 2015). It lists Jill as the principal officer, with an address in Little Rock.
  15. It was a can. When they came back from commercial and showed the stands with the police there looking for the culprit, you can see other fans holding beer cans.
  16. Laughed when Heidi said "So who is on the chopping board?" instead of "So who is on the chopping block?" Her malapropism conjured up a funny picture for me.
  17. He posted on their youtube channel, explaining that he confessed what he did (made an account in a moment of weakness, didn't act on anything - didn't have an affair) to his church a long time ago, to his wife, to his 'accountability' partner, and his wife has forgiven him. His wife was sitting next to him and reiterated that. They said they would be making no other statements to the media. Yah, I think their youtube 'business' might take a hit, but the fact that he went belly up years ago and confessed to his wife and his church might allow him to ride this out without too much repercussions. Not so Joshie, who has learned to exist with secrets and do his deeds in the dark, let's say. Here's the link to that video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ilFuzKURvhk
  18. Watched it the other night when I was visiting my mom. I laughed at the way it reminded me of the convoluted game show Joey was going to host on Friends. Couldn't stand Richard Quest. Won't tune in again.
  19. Here's the Brian Wilson gnome given away in 2012. http://sfist.com/2012/01/05/behold_the_brian_wilson_lawn_gnome.php
  20. Here's the story about a woman who had epilepsy-type seizures when she heard Mary Hart's voice. It was the inspiration for Kramer going into convulsions when he heard her on tv. http://www.thewrap.com/tv/column-post/strange-case-mary-hart-induced-epilepsy-19918/
  21. I agree - annoying commercial, but memorable. I see it and wonder why the women in the break room think L'il Sweet is all that.
  22. Justin Guarini is in the latest Dr. Pepper ad http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/justin-guarini-returns-to-tv-in-diet-dr-pepper-ad-2015273
  23. Was the guy in the third 'Wanted' poster of the opening scene (when the camera was panning down to Jimmy sitting on the bench next to Mike) the motorcycle-gang guy who banged into Jimmy as he was speaking to Kim on the phone in the restroom at the restaurant?
